1. currier museum of arT BesT of The BesT

150 Ash St., Manchester, 669-6144, currier.org The internationally renowned art museum, founded in 1929, has permanent and rotating exhibits featuring American and European paintings, sculptures, photographs and more by notable artists such as Picasso, Monet and O’Keeffe, as well as local and regional artists. Its current special exhibition, “Warhol Screen Tests,” is on view until July 24, featuring projections of film shot by Andy Warhol in the 1960s. Museum hours, which are subject to change, are Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission costs $15 for adults, $13 for seniors age 65 and up, $10 for students, $5 for youth ages 13 through 17; is always free for children age 12 and under and museum members; and is free for New Hampshire residents on the second Saturday of each month.

2. DiaNe crespo fiNe arT gallery

32 Hanover St., Manchester, 493-1677, dianecrespoart.weebly.com The gallery, owned and operated by local artist Diane Crespo, features Crespo’s oil and pastel realism landscapes, which “capture the essence of a place and a moment in time as she interprets the landscape,” according to the gallery’s website. Crespo also teaches art classes and workshops for all ages and abilities. Gallery hours, which are subject to change, are Wednesday, from noon to 5 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, by appointment.

4. arT up froNT sTreeT sTuDios & gallery

120 Front St., Exeter, 418-6286, artupfrontstreet.com The 2,500-square-foot contemporary artists’ collective consists of eight working artist studios and galleries, featuring paintings and illustrations in various styles, mixed media pieces, photography, industrial quilts and more. The studios are open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

5. league of New hampshire crafTsmeN coNcorD fiNe crafT gallery

36 N. Main St., Concord, 228-8171, concord.nhcrafts.org The craft organization’s flagship retail shop and gallery features a variety of traditional and contemporary crafts created by juried New Hampshire craftspeople, including jewelry, hand blown glass, wood bowls, pottery, textiles and wearable art, handcrafted furniture, prints, sculptural pieces and more. It also hosts craft demonstrations by members throughout the year. Shop hours are Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

6. Twiggs gallery

254 King St., Boscawen, 975-0015, twiggsgallery.wordpress.com Owned and operated by New Hampshire artist and calligrapher Adele Sanborn, Twiggs Gallery features rotating exhibitions with artwork in various media by local and regional artists. The gallery also offers art and craft workshops and classes for adults in the spring and fall, and is home to Spriggs Shoppe, where visitors will find “fun uniquities and shabby-chic antiques,” as well as Sanborn’s calligraphy work, according to the gallery’s website. The gallery and shop are open Thursday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m.

7. sTuDio 550 arT ceNTer

550 Elm St., Manchester, 232-5597, 550arts.com Owned and operated by local ceramics artist Monica Leap, Studio 550 offers classes and workshops for artists of all ages and abilities in pottery and clay, stained glass, acrylic painting, watercolor, drawing and more. Handmade crafts by local artisans are featured in its artisan gift shop. The studio and shop are open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday through Saturday, from noon to 8 p.m.

8. sullivaN framiNg & fiNe arT gallery

15 N. Amherst Road, Bedford, 471-1888, sullivanframing.com The design and custom picture framing business has a built-in gallery space featuring art in various media and styles by local artists. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and by appointment. Sullivan also coordinates the exhibitions for the art galleries at Labelle Winery’s Amherst and Portsmouth locations.
