the king still loved his wife, so before she was banished king archard gave her his jeweling company so that she would be able to keep her comfort and the queen's jealousy and the king's rage distracted them from power after she left galgana. To keep the baby safe, the king gave the date in which their daughter had been born. It was the her to an adoption agency in 1000th year since Galgana was formed, to the day, and the america to live with a better 500th year since the last Treasurem was born. The treaserum family. Growing up Hadley was great at school and very Atheletic, but when she reached high school she was not able to join any teams because she constantly had to work to help support her family. this kept her from making many friends.

One day after classes hadley stayed to help a girl with chemistry, her best subject. As they finished up, her phone began to ring.

Hadley, I need to to cover my shift! If i miss my shift again, I'll be fired! it starts in 5 minutes!

Hadley arrived at the store 15 minutes late, and was startled to see Ms. Z, the owner of the company in the store.

Annabelle, the girl who called Hadley, was constantly missing her shift and always asked Hadley to cover for her. Not wanting her friend to get in trouble, hadley often gave up her few free hours to cover for her friend. So hadley rushed out of the school and towards the store.

YOU'RE LATE?! THIS BEHAVIOR IS DESPICABLE! I DON'T WANT SOMEONE LIKE YOU WORKING HERE; YOU'RE FIRED!

SACRIFICING HER OWN JOB TO KEEP ANnABELeL'S JOB SAFE WAS THE REASON HADLEY DIDN'T argue FOR HERSELF AFTER Ms. z yelled at her.

Hadley rushed inside and saw that not only had the apartment been broken into, but absolutely trashed. She grabbed the note that hung pinned to the wall and started to read.

Heartbroken from losing her job Hadley didn't notice until she stepped on broken glass that her family's small, one room apartment had been broken into.

But before she could comprehend what had happened a man with a cloth covered her mouth and she blacked out...

When hadley woke up, she found herself in a small room, dirty and pungent with stale sweat.

As Hadley looked around more, she realized that she wasn't in a room, she was in a cell, and she wasn't alone. sleeping across from her was a middle aged man with a soiled shirt and long unkempt hair. She let out a small yelp with shock.

THen, The man woke up, and nonchalantly introduced himself as count. She shyly introduced herself and started asking questions on how she had gotten into the cell. As she got more frightened and confused, the cell quivered slightly.

Hadley didn't notice, but the man across from her immediately did, and in shock and excitement he told her who he really was. He said he was the last treasurem of galgana, a kingdom of vast riches and beauty. he told her that he was once the king of this place, and that he had the ability to control precious metals and jewels. This ability brought wealth and prosperity to Galgana when he had ruled. count also told her that he believed she was the next treasurem. to prove that he was telling the truth, he focused on the floor and told her there was a ruby the size of a quarter 66 feet below her feet.

Although at first hadley thought the man was crazy, she could feel the heat and the weight of the ruby beneath her feet. she could almost see it as if it was in her hand. Suddenly, a red gem burst from the floor and hovered above hadley's hand.

Now certain that hadley was the next treasurem of galgana, count trained her to pinpoint the metals and gems around her, making them burst from the floor. but then Count told her to place each gem back in their original resting spots in which she found them, so that the guards would not learn of the lessons or her powers.

eventually, count opened up to hadley about how he had used his power to create the philosopher's stone, making him immortal. only after he created it he realized that his kingdom would not want a leader for the rest of time. so he let his son grow up to make sure Galgana would have a valid king when he was gone. then Count faked his own death and began traveling the world. a few hundred years later count found that he was no longer happy, and he turned himself in to the owner of a large jewelry company that he knew was from galgana. she imprisoned him, and forced him to locate places where mines would best be set up. count stayed imprisoned because he knew that someday the next treasurem would be caught by the vicious woman who owned the company and would be brought to the same prison that he was in. THen, he would be able to teach that person how to use their powers for good.

Hadley learned more about her powers, and found that she wasn't just able to control and locate fine metals, but she was able to control all metals because of the tiny traces of precious metals inside of them.

feeling guilty that she was being held in a prison while she could be doing good with her powers, like saving her parent's from their kidnappers, Hadley devised a plan to escape.

with her mind, hadley smashed through the metal door that held them inside the cell. she grabbed count and they ran from the prison. hadley knocked guards and doors out of the way with her thoughts. when they breached the final gates of the prison. they escaped to an astonishing scene.

The jungle outside the gates was vast, and greenery surrounded them every way they looked. Hadley climbed the tallest tree she could find, and looked out past the jungle to the beautiful city that lay beyond it. But while she was above the trees, something was happening below...

neither human thought about the wildlife that inhabited the jungle until the beast attacked. it lunged at count with vicious gleaming claws. hadley jumped down from the tree, unsure of what the commotion was about, and saw count on the ground bleeding. the beast lunged at count again, ready to finish what had begun, but in a rush of fear and adrenaline she jumped in front of counts unconscious body to protect him and held up her hands.

hadley looked up to see why she was not on the ground next to count from the impact with the beast, but she had felt nothing, nothing had happened. the beast was suspended in mid-air, its eyes wild and it's teeth bared, but it wasn't moving. its body floated as if it were balloon.

Hadley focused on what was going on, but then felt movement in her hands. she felt the thick blood of the beast at her command, the iron and magnesium in the beast's body stopping its movement. helping count get up, they started towards the large walls that surrounded the magnificent city which count told her was galgana. but before they surpassed the edge of the jungle count stopped.

although hadley was in complete control of the creature, she knew that killing it would not do any good. she focused on it and made it fly through the air to the other side of the jungle, many miles away, Then dropped it lightly on the ground. it then ran in the opposite detection, away from the powerful girl and her slowly awakening friend.

I can't go on anymore, HADLEY, IM SO SORRY. IF I ENTER THE CITY, PEOPLE WILL KNOW THAT I HAVE THE POWER TO CREATE THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE AND SOMEDAY THEY WILL FIND OUT HOW TO DO IT THEMSELVES.

But you have to come! I don't know what to do without you!

No, Hadley, you have done all of this on your own. you've discovered your powers, escaped and led us here! you are ready to be alone.

Count told her how he no longer wanted to watch the world fluctuate from war to war. Living for hundreds of years and seeing the people around him die was heartbreaking. you have done so much for me already, you've restored my hope and freedom, but i need to ask you for one more thing.

I need you to take the essence of the philosopher's stone from my body with your powers.

Although hadley felt deep anguish, she complied, because she knew that his death would truly bring him peace.

Hadley's despair pushed her on. She found a drainage pipe on the side of the city wall and slipped in. Hadley worked her way through the pipe, finding her way through the maze of tunnels by locating the castle by the vast amounts of gold and gems. the tunnel around her got smaller and smaller, and she inadvertently got stuck, so with all of her might she pushed the tunnel around her outwards.

she was successful, but all the walls around her started rumbling and dirt started to fall from the ceiling.

Hadley scrambled through the manhole in one of the rooms of the castle. The adrenaline pumping through hadley made her forget about being quiet and she is caught by the guards.

The guards took her immediately to court for trial under the conviction of trespassing into the city. in the end she was convicted of being an illegal immigrant, but because there were so little trials in Galgana the king made a surprise appearance. Scared that she would miss her chance to speak with the king and acquire his help to find her parents, she pulled him forward from across the room by his gold crown and large gold necklace. When the people realized that Hadley was the next Treasurem, a figure who was almost legend, they got on their knees and bowed to her.

THe king was astonished, but made everyone leave the room so he could be alone with the girl who he realized was his daughter. She had an obvious resemblance to him but she had not realized the similarity in their faces yet.

THough hadley was worried that the king would resent her because she was much more powerful, and could be more respected than him.

She knew that she must speak with him because of something that count had told her when they had been imprisoned together. Count had said that in Galgana there was only one computer. it was in the possession of the king, and none of the citizens knew about it.

nervously Hadley asked about the computer. umm‌ your Highness i need to use your computer. I know it is a well kept secret but my family is missing and i need to find my way home to save them.

please do had- i mean treasurem‌ you may use anything you need to in this kingdom. everything that is mine is yours.

Before Archard finished saying hadley's name he cut himself off. He realized that they hand't introduced themselves so it would seem suspicious if he knew her name. The king did not want hadley to know that she was his daughter because he thought that Hadley might resent him for putting her up for adoption.

Two bodies had been found and had been positively identified as Pat and Chis Evans, her parents. but with the deaths there had been new light shone on the recent jewelry thefts that had been occurring recently. the murders were committed by the same people who had taken the jewelry.

Hadley ignored the king's strange mistake which almost sounded like her name and quickly got on the computer. immediately she went to her favorite news cite to see if any missing people had been found. Hadley was devastated at what she saw.

Speechless and heartbroken, hadley didn't know what to do, but the king was quick to his feet, almost sure he knew who had committed the murders, and who had kidnapped her. he told her that he once had a wife who had been very evil, but who he had loved dearly. she had been banished from the kingdom from trying to commit a murder in a power struggle. the wife had been banished but was the owner of a large jewelry company. That didn't stop the woman from stealing more power from other people. The king knew that this woman would never stop fighting for more power, and she would do whatever it took to get what she wanted. The ex-queen's name was Zila.

THis information struck hadley because she knew a jewelry tycoon who's name was zila. it was the horrible boss that had fired her the day she was kidnapped. When she told this to the king, he was astonished that she had been in contact with this lady for a year or so, and zila had never tried to attack Hadley before.

Immediately the king took control of the computer and wrote a short and quick email in a language that hadley did not understand. and within minutes got the reply he seemed to be looking for.

I knew it! zila has been making money outside of her legal business by stealing precious jewels and selling them on the black market! I have someone to testify against her, and we can bring her down in america if we can get there soon, before she disappears. it appears that recently she has stopped selling on the black market, and is planning to sell the company. she must know that you escaped your prison and know she has to disappear.

I have a jet that can take us to America. Let's go!

Hadley didn't know which continent she was on, or how long it would take her to get to AMerica, but once the king started talking and asking about her past she didn't care. Once he heard everything that she could possibly tell him about her life, the king looked her in the eyes, and told her that she was the air to the thrown of galgana, his daughter, and the daughter of zila, her adoptive parents' murderer.

before hadley had time to process the information the king had presented, the jet began to land. men came from other cabins in the jet to speak with the king about tracking zila, who they had found and were ready to capture. the evidence against her for the cases of murder, stealing, and presence in the black market was vast. there seemed to be no way for the queen to get away with her crimes.

They landed at the airport nearest to zila's hideaway, a house that had been built into the the side of a hill. Although it wasn't just any hill, on the opposite side of the entrance was the hollywood sign. They took an inconspicuous town car to the closest point to the sign, and hadley started sprinting before any of the men could stop her or try to protect her.

Hadley rushed passed the sign and used her power to search for places in the ground that were free of dirt but had metal figures like pots and pans. she found a place and with tremendous power she brought her hands down on the earth and the whole top of the hill blew away from her and made a dust cloud that spread slowly across the sky.

Hadley's quick start helped her, but she had gotten her speed from the king's side of the family. he was quick with her, running into the top of the hideaway. Zila was on the opposite side of the room, getting up after the jolt which hadley had caused. zila looked and was shocked to see her daughter and ex-husband standing in front of her. she quickly shook the expression of surprise off her face and replaced it with anger.

before the king could reply, zila swung her arm forward and a glint of metal shot forwards.

figures you are here, archard, you betrayed me once, of course you would do it again.

HADLEY fell to the floor. the king's men finally arrived and tackled zila to the ground, handcuffed her, and brought her out of the destroyed hideout.

hadley's physical reactions were faster than her mental reactions, so instead of stopping the knife with her powers before it struck the king, she jumped in front of the blow.

I have to protect you , father, you are the only family i have left.

you shouldn't have taken that knife hadley, you need to be more protective of yourself, not always so selfless.

with that hadley blacked out for the second time in her life.

WHen hadley woke up she was in a small hospital bed with a beautiful view of the ocean. the king was in a chair in the corner of the room, he looked about as royal as a beggar. His eyes were swollen and red, but he seemed to be asleep. Hadley got out of her bed and looked out the window. She took in the peaceful site as long as she could because she knew that soon she would be thrown back into the havoc of reality.

ZIla will be in jail for a very long time hadley. It will be enough time for her to forget that she was ever a queen, and to remember that she is only human. her actions will always affect her future, although her future looks like prison walls and orange jumpsuits!

hadley accepted her parents deaths and hoped that they would meet count in heaven. she went back to galgana with the king, and learned about galgana society. Hadley was crowned ruler of galgana when archard stepped down, and was known by all as the great treasurem.

in the end, hadley's selflessness and bravery prevailed over zila's selfish ways, showing that selfsacrifice and compassion are the best qualities. They will always conquer over greed.
