《漫熱》香港、法國漫畫創作交流計劃@香港 線上線下漫熱漫畫活動
2020年冬天，凝聚創作慾望，將「漫熱」升溫！ 漫畫創作人，默默耕耘，背後支撐著的都是熱情和更多的熱 情。他們腦內無窮的創作慾望，成就一部部精彩的作品，叫讀
者也看得熱血沸騰。
是次交流計劃以《漫熱》作為主題，由一眾創作者將熱血、熱
誠、熱心和熱情點燃開去。交流計劃第一階段於第47屆法國安
古蘭國際漫畫節舉行後，第二階段回歸香港，並以漫畫大師班 打響頭炮，由本地漫畫專業人士給一眾對漫畫充滿熱情的後起
之秀傳授創作秘技，培育更多漫畫生力軍。
今年初親身赴法的多位香港漫畫家及專業人士更會舉辦分享 會，分享在當地觀摩所得的經驗。
今年12月，一連兩日舉行連場線上線下活動，包括漫畫家繪畫
示範、漫畫專業人士分享、漫畫出版配對、知識產權及授權法
講座等，為所有「有團火」的漫畫創作人尋找本地及海外出版
機會，將大家對漫畫的熱誠傳得更遠，「漫燃」至世界各地！
“FEVER” HONG KONG AND FRANCE COMICS CREATION EXCHANGE PROGRAMME @ HONG KONG ONLINE-OFFLINE FEVER COMICS EVENTS
Light the creativity on fire, heat up the comics FEVER! What support the comics artists’ continuous works is their passion, their feverish passion. The unlimited desire for creation in their brains contributes to titles after titles of great stories that make readers themselves burn with passion too. Under the theme “FEVER”, the project spreads the burning hot feverish passion of Hong Kong comics artists to inspire more like-minded souls. After the exchange programme’s first phase showcase in Angoulême International Comics Festival in France earlier this year, HKAC passes the flame of passion back to Hong Kong and heats up this winter of comics. Kick-starting the second phase is the Comics Master Class tailored for up-and-coming comics artists. Instructed by local professionals in the comics industry, the course equips the participants with skills and techniques to create comics, igniting a fresh new blaze in Hong Kong comics. The sharing talk by Hong Kong comics artists and professionals brings you the stories of their earlier visit to the 47th Angoulême International Comics Festival. Further fuelling the feverish flame of passion, a series of exchange programmes – drawing demonstrations, talks by comics professionals, comics publishing matching session, talk on intellectual property rights and licensing and more – will be held online and offline in a 2-day event in December, providing the glowing Hong Kong comics artists with local and overseas publishing opportunities, spreading the passion of Hong Kong comics artists all around the world.

學員經歷四個月的特訓，最終各完成一部全新短篇漫畫，作品
題材廣泛，畫風多元。得到漫畫家黎達達榮、出版人黃珮珊、
電影編劇及導演郭子健傳授秘技，又有兩位資深漫畫導師麥少 峯及馮慶強作一對一創作指導，在這強勁搭擋的加持下，學員
會創作出怎樣的作品？觀眾可於是次作品展示看到滿有熱情的 漫畫生力軍帶來的本土創作新景象。
After four months of intensive coaching, the Comics Master Class of FEVER Hong Kong and France Comics Creation Exchange Programme @Hong Kong finally came to an end. Participants each completed a brand-new short comics, showcasing a variety of themes and styles. With the Midas’ touch of comics artist Laitattatwing, film director and screenwriter Derek Kwok and publisher Peishan Huang, together with one-to one creative coaching with veterans Siu-fung Mak and Honkaz Fung, there is no limit to the fantastic stories created by our participants under these dynamic tutors! Come and see for yourselves a new dawn to local creation heralded by these passionate newcomers!

It’s YOU to decide how their stories go – participate in the comics creations of Kwong-shing Lau, Chi-tak Li and Yanai. The three Hong Kong comics artists will create three short comics stories from the same ending line “Don’t Tell Anyone”. They have asked you 60 questions to trace back the plot of their stories. At the end, each of them will pick 20 answers to create their own version of the story. 在香港長大，喜歡狗。小時候因兄長定期購買漫畫週刊及《叮 噹》 （多啦A夢）而喜歡上閱讀漫畫。加上喜歡畫圖，不知不覺
走上了漫畫創作之路。曾在日本留學漫畫專校，後在臺灣電子
漫 畫 平 臺 「 日 更 計 劃 」 連 載 《 實 驗 品 家 庭 》 ， 2 0 17 年 開 始 在
日本雜誌《月刊Comic@Bunch》連載日文版及動畫 化，2019年出版法文版。
現時正以「畫完」《實驗品家庭》為目標，努力生活中。 Yanai, who grew up in Hong Kong, is a dog lover. She became fond of comics because her elder brother regularly bought comics magazines and Doraemon home. With her interest in drawing, naturally she became devoted to comics creation. She has studied at comics training academy in Japan. She started serialising Frankenstein Family on Suncomics Project, a digital comics platform in Taiwan. The work’s Japanese edition was first serialized on the Japanese comics Monthly Comic@Bunch in 2017. A Japanese animated version followed shortly after. The French edition of Frankenstein Family was published in 2019. She sets her current goal at finishing Frankenstein Family and work hard to live a life at the same time.

童年於日本京都生活，故早期作品深受當地漫畫文化影響。回港後修讀香港
中文大學藝術系，亦曾於不同平臺出版及連載短篇漫畫十餘部，如《漫 道》、《Ani-Wave》等。2017年隨香港藝術中心參展法國安古蘭國際漫畫
節後，創作方向驟變。常以鉛筆創作，藉其筆觸強調氛圍；探索以漫畫作為
表達媒介時的可能性，並嘗試解構重組「漫畫」。
漫畫作品有與荷蘭 Rusty Lake 合作的《Cube Escape: Paradox》、 臺灣出版的《被消失的香港》等。《Cube Escape: Paradox》更於全球
發售，大獲好評，其中100本限量版更於開售後四小時售罄。新作漫畫
《Fantaisie Ordinaire》與阿姆斯特丹音樂家 Victor Butzelaar 合作， 今年由法國出版社 Patayo Éditions 在歐洲及香港同步推出。除了漫畫， 他亦埋首於動畫創作，至今合計共創作逾十部動畫短片。近期較專注繪畫有 關 社 會 議 題 的 作 品 ， 亦 應 邀 參 與 多 個 展 覽 ， 如 泰 國 《 Ba n g ko k T h r o u g h Poster》、香港《抗爭的藝術》、法國《Éruptions @ Lyon 漫畫節》等。
Kwong-shing Lau, who spent his childhood in Kyoto, Japan, is deeply influenced by the Japanese comics culture. After returning to Hong Kong, he studied at the Department of Fine Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has published over ten short comics series on different platforms such as MDecomics and Ani-Wave . His direction of creation has changed drastically since his participation in the Angoulême International Comics Festival in France by the invitation from Hong Kong Arts Centre in 2017. He frequently draws with pencil, creating the atmosphere with its tactile touches. While engage in the exploration of comics’ potential as a medium of expression, he also tries to deconstruct and rework what a ‘comics’ is. His comics works include Cube Escape: Paradox , a collaboration with Rusty Lake in the Netherland and The Fallen City published in Taiwan. Cube Escape: Paradox which was sold globally was a great success, with the 100 limited editions sold out in four hours. His latest comics book Fantaisie Ordinaire is in collaboration with the Amsterdam composer Victor Butzelaar, published by Europe publishing house Patayo Éditions and is simultaneously launching in Europe and Hong Kong in 2020. Apart from comics, Lau is also dedicated in the production of animation. He has already created more than ten animation short films. Recently he has been focusing on drawing works related to social issues and was invited to participate in exhibitions such as Bangkok Through Poster in Thailand, The Art of Protest in Hong Kong and Éruptions @ Lyon BD Festival in France.

1982年投身漫畫創作，在港式漫畫集團工作一個月後即以自由身闖蕩漫畫
界。繪畫過《衛斯理》系列後，87年自資出版代表作《同門少年》而聲名大
噪，自此發展其獨特的漫畫風格，以奇詭實驗、突破類型的漫畫築構自己的 視覺世界。
漫畫以外，亦參與多個跨媒介的創作，將其繪畫延伸至電影、實驗劇場、文 學、流行音樂、雕塑等。此外，其別樹一幟的畫風，吸引多個國際品牌委約 創作。利志達是海外漫畫迷熟知的香港漫畫家，1990年代開始已在海外連
載及出版，包括日本的講談社及小學館、臺灣、馬來西亞、中國內地、法 國、意大利等。
2016年，香港藝術中心聯同法國安古蘭國際漫畫節為其策劃個人展覽，成 為該屆漫畫節主題展之一，同步推出與著名比利時作家 Jean Dufaux 合作 的法語漫畫《The Beast》。是次個人展覽更帶來另一次面向國際的合作， 利 志 達 獲 羅 浮 宮 博 物 館 合 作 邀 請 ， 編 繪 最 新 漫 畫 《 蟾 宮 事 變 》， 法 文 版 率 先 於2019年11月於歐洲發行，香港中文版由今日出版於2020年3月推出。
Chi-tak Li began his career in the comics industry in 1982. After working for a corporate comics publisher in Hong Kong for a month, he decided to start his own venture as a freelancer. Following on from the release of The Wisely series, he self-published Tong Men Shao Nian , a prominent title which rocketed him to fame in 1987. He has since developed a distinctive art style, creating his own visual world with eerily experimental works that broke genre rules. Li’s transmedia creations transcend the boundary of comics and expand into movies, experimental theatres, literature, pop music and sculptures. His idiosyncratic style has attracted the attention and commissions from local and international brands. Li is also well-known to the international comics scene. His comics has been published in places like Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Mainland China, France and Italy since the 90s. In 2016, the Hong Kong Arts Centre had jointly curated Li’s solo exhibition with the Angoulême International Comics Festival in France as one of the Festival’s thematic exhibitions. His French comics The Beast, a collaborative project with the famous Belgian writer Jean Dufaux, was released at the same time. This solo exhibition had given birth to another international cooperation opportunity. Li was invited by the Louvre Museum to create a new comics Moon of the Moon . 香港漫畫人觀摩法國安古蘭國際漫畫節後之經驗分享，感受歐洲與香港創作 人的「漫熱」！
今年初，香港藝術中心在香港特別行政區政府「創意香港」的贊助下，安排 香港漫畫家柳廣成、利志達及 Yanai 參展法國「安古蘭國際漫畫節」，並在
當地分別發佈其新出版的個人法文版漫畫，與地球另一端的讀者見面。而彭 康兒亦在「創意香港」的贊助下，以香港新秀漫畫家的身份到當地參觀展
覽，一次過飽覽來自歐、美、日等大師的真跡，她更帶備個人創作，參與漫 畫節專為年輕漫畫人而設的大型徵選 Pavillon Jeunes Talents 爭取出版
機會。除了參展漫畫家外，同行的香港漫畫業界代表亦捉緊時機，跟世界各 地出版社、書商、網上出版平臺等交流，在創作理念、書刊設計、出版概念 等方面互相取經。
一眾香港漫畫人將會在分享會逐一細數今年在「安古蘭國際漫畫節」觀摩時 既興奮緊張，又充滿挑戰的經驗。在這股「漫熱」醞釀下，各漫畫人會帶來 怎樣的新漫畫語言？
Angoulême International Comics Festival exchange sharing by Hong Kong comics practitioners, let’s feel the feverish heat diverging from European and Hong Kong creative minds! In January this year, Hong Kong comics artists Kwong-shing Lau, Chitak Li and Yanai were arranged by Hong Kong Arts Centre under the sponsorship of Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to participate in the Angoulême International Comics Festival in France, launching their respective new French edition comics and meeting the readers from the other side of the globe. Joined together was an emerging comics artist Bonnie Pang, who was sponsored by CreateHK to not only grasp the chance to admire the original works from comics masters from Europe, the United State and Japan at the festival, but also took part in the Pavillon Jeunes Talents, the young comics talent open-call in the festival, striving for opportunities to publish her comics. In addition, representatives of Hong Kong comics professionals also took this opportunity to communicate with publishing houses, booksellers and online platforms from all around the world at the festival, learning creative ideas, book designs, publishing concepts and others from each other. Éditions Polystyrène is a French publishing house established by Alex Chauvel and friends from the European School of Visual Arts in Angoulême in 2010. Éditions Polystyrène aims at redefining the format of comics books by publishing “books” that unfold, in the form of a poster, of mixed-media, etc. All these formats are related to the themes and contents of the comics themselves. From adventure stories to more personal books, Éditions Polystyrène try to make room for all genres. Éditions Polystyrène created and published comics books so as to experiment offer readers new ways to read comics, experiences beyond simply flipping pages.
Frédéric FOURREAU 法國 Patayo Éditions 編輯總監。Patayo Éditions 以一個名字開始。這 個沒有意思、沒有意義的名字，其中有着無限的可能性。園景師出身的
Frédéric，在之前的25年在世界各地透過植樹來向別人訴說自己的所思所
感。經常與樹木接觸，自然而然，他也受紙本印刷書中的魔幻與迷思、故事 與知識所吸引，他亦因此從樹木轉到出版的紙張世界，由宏觀的風 景 (large landscape) 轉到橫向格式 (landscape format)。
最先啟迪 Frédéric 的是稱為「連環畫」的中國漫畫。這種樣式的漫畫，每
一頁只有一張圖和一些配置文字。它的樣式十分簡單，可以容易放到口袋之

Editorial Director of Patayo Éditions, France. Patayo Éditions started with a name. A name that doesn’t say anything, and doesn’t mean anything, but which brings out all the possibilities. Trained as a landscape designer, for 25 years Frédéric has been trying to tell stories by staging trees in front of their spectators all over the world, according to orders. It is therefore quite naturally that he was attracted to books, the magic and mystery they carry within them, the story and the knowledge they develop… These have led him to move from trees to paper and the world of publishing, from the large landscape to the landscape format... The first trigger was when I discovered lianhuanhua, the Chinese comic book format that means “chained pictures”. One image per page accompanied by a small text, it was in wide circulation from the 1950s to the end of the 80s before the Japanese manga became popular. It is a very simple format that fits in your pocket. He saw a great potential in it to tell stories and create beautiful objects to read in a world where images and texts are omnipresent. Patayo Éditions could start his own adventure, with a diversity of views, whether graphic or narrative. And, for the reader, an opportunity to look at the world a little differently.

David Schilter grew up in Switzerland and after finishing his Law studies he moved to Latvia. He is the co-founder of the Riga-based comics publishing outfit kuš! Since 2007, kuš! has published over 150 titles with comics artists all around the world. Aside from publishing, kuš! organises workshops, exhibitions, residencies, artist talks and other comics related events, with the aim to spread more artistic expressions of the medium. David Schilter has worked as editor, curator and organiser for kuš! ever since and has been representing the Latvian comics scene at international comics festivals and art book fairs.

kuš! (speak koosh!) is an alternative comics publisher founded in 2007 in Riga, Latvia. All publications since 2008 are published in English with international artists, distributed to comics shops around the globe. The aims of kuš! are to popularise comics in a country where this medium is practically non-existent and promoting Latvian comics abroad. In 2012, the š! anthology won the Prix de la Bande Dessinée Alternative at Angouleme International Comics Festival in France, and in 2017 and 2020 š! was nominated as Best Anthology for the Eisner Awards in United States. kuš! does not just publish comics on paper, but also organises exhibitions, residencies, workshops, comics jams and other comics related events besides traveling to international festivals to spread the Latvian comics fever.

Pedro Stoichita lives and works as an illustrator and comics artist in Berlin. His works have been shown in several national and international exhibitions. He studied Visual Communication at the The Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin and Philosophy at the Humboldt University. He is now a lecturer at the Graduate School of Berlin University of the Arts. He has published Le secret mathématique de Polybius and La Fuite with Éditions Polystyrène.

《Le secret mathématique de Polybius》（意譯︰Polybius 的數學
珍 寶 ） 是 一 個 可 看 成 連 環 畫 的 寶 盒 ， 一 本 最 多 可 容 納 1 0,0 0 0 個 序 列 的 組 合 數學漫畫。
它的靈感既來自 Oulipo 潛在文學工作坊、Oubapo 潛在漫畫工作坊、漫畫 家 Marc-Antoine Mathieu，也來自 Spinoza 及荷蘭繪畫。讀者選擇繪
本的任何一幅插圖開始故事，人物和物件出現變化，圖像相應而變，推進 敘事。
有些故事輕鬆愉快，另一些故事異想天開，甚至令人毛骨悚然。所有故事都 圍繞著一個謎題展開，隨著一幅幅插圖提供的線索水落石出。
每一頁漫畫都呈現同一個舞臺，故事在此密室中開展，讀者成為窺視者，觀 察陌生人的生活片段。
通過閱讀，讀者會獲知某些角色的行為動機。但《Le secret mathématique
de Polybius》引人入勝之處在於每次閱讀在揭露一部份答案之餘亦設下了 新的謎題。謎題答案在下一次閱讀中可能呼之欲出，依此類推。
Le secret mathématique de Polybius
Le secret mathématique de Polybius (liberal: Polybius’ Mathematical Treasure) presents itself as a treasure box capable of generating comic strips, a combinatorial comic book allowing up to 10,000 sequences. It borrows as much from Oulipo, Oubapo and Marc-Antoine Mathieu as from Spinoza and Dutch painting. For each notebook, you choose a random image to set the story in motion. The characters and objects evolve, the drawings change, and the stories are told. Some stories are funny, others fantastic or even horrifying. All of them revolve around a mystery, which can be solved by delving deeper and deeper into the illustrations. Each page presents a variation of the same room, setting the stage for the narratives to evolve behind closed doors and the sneak-peeking reader to observe slices of life of unknown persons. As the reading unfolds, reader discover the motives of certain characters. But the power of Le secret mathématique de Polybius lies in the fact that while each reading brings its share of answers, it also brings a set of new questions. Questions that may find their answer through the next reading, and so on and so forth.

「創意香港」是香港特別行政區政府於2009年6月成立的單位，隸屬商務及經濟發展局通訊 及創意產業科，專責推動香港創意產業的發展。現時的策略重點為培育人才及促進初創企業
的發展、開拓市場，以及推動香港成為亞洲創意之都，並在社會營造創意氛圍。「創意香
港」先後於2011、2013、2015、2016、2017、2019及2020年，贊助香港藝術中心
在法國安古蘭國際漫畫節中，舉辦不同主題的交流活動，以推廣香港漫畫和漫畫家。
Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) is a dedicated agency set up by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR Government) in June 2009. It is under the Communications and Creative Industries Branch of the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau and dedicated to spearheading the development of creative industries in Hong Kong. Its strategic foci are nurturing talent and facilitating start-ups, exploring markets, and promoting Hong Kong as Asia’s creative capital and fostering a creative atmosphere in the community. CreateHK sponsored the Hong Kong Arts Centre to organise exchange activities under different themes at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020 to promote Hong Kong’s comics and the comics artists. www.createhk.gov.hk
