I hope this letter finds you all doing well early in the new year! As always, we thank you for your support of our athletics programs and for the energy and passion that each of you bring every time you come to one of our events.
This is the time of year when we all start looking ahead to the upcoming football season. I’ll start out by saying I’m proud of our strong finish to 2015. We won four of our final five games, beat Virginia for the 12th straight time and then won the Independence Bowl against Tulsa to send Coach Frank Beamer out a winner. You all played an integral part in our great finish and will again play a huge role in our success in 2016. Though we’ll miss seeing Coach Beamer on the sidelines and wish him the best in retirement, we’re really excited about Justin Fuente as our new head coach. Coach Fuente and his staff at Memphis did a fantastic job of turning the Tigers’ program around, and his background of offensive excellence, combined with our traditionally strong defense, has all of us optimistic about the future here at Virginia Tech.

This season, we have a home slate highlighted by matchups against East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Miami and Virginia, and we travel to Bristol for a much-anticipated matchup with Tennessee. So the challenge is large, but we have 15 starters returning, including three AllACC performers from last season, and players with eligibility remaining scored 379 of the 403 points scored this past season. We’re excited about the possibilities. We need you, as a part of our team again this season, supporting both our students and our new coaching staff. First established in 1949, The Virginia Tech Athletic Fund, Inc., (VTAF or Hokie Club) is the official fundraising arm of Virginia Tech Athletics with a primary goal of providing funding for scholarships for more than 550 Hokie studentathletes each year. Hokie Club Point Priority System: The Hokie Club uses a standard formula called the point priority system to assign a rank to each member
of the Hokie Club. The point priority system is used to distinguish and distribute all Hokie Club benefits. The system was designed to reward those who are loyal and active supporters of the Hokie Club. Hokie Club Donations: Priority points will be calculated based on contributions made by Dec. 31, 2015 for the upcoming year. Consideration for new seats, seat selection, single-game tickets, etc., will be based on points accrued by that date. BALLENA SELECT-A-SEAT
Continuing with the 2016 football season, all seat improvements, new season ticket allocations and parking allocations will be selected using Ballena’s online selection technology. It will allow for real-time assignment of seat locations and parking spaces for all season ticket holders. In April, all qualifying patrons who have ordered season tickets will be assigned a selection date and time that will allow them entrance into the system based on their Hokie Club point priority ranking.
u Inactive and Downgraded Memberships Hokie Club members who downgraded their membership level or became inactive as of Dec. 31, 2015 will be asked to reselect new seats during their selection dates and times as their 2015 season tickets will be released and available in the system.
u Renewing Seat Patrons Patrons who wish to retain the same seat location from 2015 and have maintained their membership level need not do anything. Your 2015 seat assignment will be locked in prior to the start of the process and can only be changed if you wish to change it.
u Seat Improvement Patrons Any patrons who wish to improve their current seat location will log into the system using their customer number and provided personal access code at their selection date and time. Once
logged in, it will be up to the patron to decide if any of the available green seat dots are better than his/her current seats. If these patrons decide to change locations, they simply click on the green seat dots to select their new seat location. These seats will then be added to their cart. Once the full allocation of seats has been selected, each patron will be asked to confirm which of the seats in his/her cart he/she wishes to retain for the new season. To drop a seat from the cart, the patron simply clicks on the red ‘X’ next to the unwanted seats to release them from the cart. NOTE: Once you release seats, they may be selected by someone else in the system.
u New Seat Patrons Patrons ordering tickets for the first time or wishing to increase the number of season tickets they purchase (based on availability), will log into the system using their customer number and provided personal access code during their selection date and time. Once logged in, it will be up to the patron to choose a seat location from any of the available green seat dots.

A shuttle bus with ADA access runs from the ADA lot to the South End Zone beginning two hours prior to game time, throughout the game as needed, and two hours after the end of the game.
u Donor ADA Parking For qualifying Hokie Club members, an ADA season parking pass may be purchased in lots 1, 2, 3 and 5 near the stadium. Due to demand, ADA parking requests are filled via a lottery. If your request cannot be honored, a refund will be issued in late April. Due to increased demand for ADA accommodations, a copy of your current disabled parking placard ID card displaying your name and motor vehicle assigned number is due at the time of your order. TICKET ORDERING GUIDE 2016 APPLICATION PRIORITY DEADLINE: March 14, 2016 Late Orders: Orders received after the priority deadline will be assigned seat selection times at the end of the priority selection process. u Processing of Orders Orders received by the priority deadline are entered for processing. Orders not renewed during this time frame are released for new orders and additional seat requests by current season ticket holders. Seat selection times are processed in Hokie Club point priority order from the top down. ORDER ONLINE at www.hokietickets.com or SIGN and MAIL the paper renewal/application form with full payment. Email Address: Use one primary email address per ticket office account for both informational emails sent to you from the Athletics Department and for your online account in hokietickets. com. Our software uses your email address as a unique identifier and will merge or lock out online accounts with the same email address. u Address Changes For your security, all address changes must be made in your online ticket account or submitted in writing to the Athletics Ticket Office. It is your responsibility to inform the Athletics Ticket Office of any address or contact information changes by June 15 to ensure tickets will be shipped on time and to the correct address. Changes made after this date must be made in writing to the Athletics Ticket Office and may be subject to an address change fee incurred by the ticket printer.
Game Times/Dates: Game times and dates are subject to change. Refunds will not be made because a game time and/or date is changed. Full Payment: Full payment must be received by the priority deadline via online application or paper form via mail. We accept cash (in-person), check, money order, Discover, MasterCard or Visa. All funds are deposited upon receipt of your order. Make checks payable to Treasurer of Virginia Tech. New Seat Orders: Please use a credit card for new seat orders. This will expedite your refund in the event we are unable to fill your request. Check refunds take an additional 6-8 weeks to process. If your request cannot be filled, a credit card refund will be issued in late April. Refunds: No refunds will be given unless an order is not filled. Refunds are for the price of the ticket only. Processing fees are not refunded. Single Home Game Tickets: If available, individual home game tickets will be offered to qualifying Hokie Club members in a separate priority order in the summer. Public sales for individual home game tickets are posted at www.hokietickets. com in early fall or as they become available during the season from the visiting teams returning a portion of their ticket allotment. Single Home Game Seating: Any single game ticket availability would be outside the season ticket areas and cannot be placed adjacent to season tickets. Additionally, the Athletics Ticket Office cannot remove individual games from a season ticket package in exchange for seats to be filled with an individual game order.

Away Game Tickets: Away game online applications will be made available to all Hokie Club members and season ticket holders in late May. The away game ticket deadline usually falls in July. Ticket Shipment: Season tickets will ship in early to mid-August. Single home and away game tickets will be shipped separately no later than 10 days prior to the game. Faculty/Staff: Faculty/Staff rate season tickets are available only to full-time Faculty/ Staff for their personal use and for use by their dependents. Faculty/Staff season ticket purchasers must provide the ticket office with a copy of their current Virginia Tech ID. General Public: If season tickets remain available after the priority ordering period, a public sale will follow in early summer.
ORDERING PREMIUM CLUB SEATS Premium Seat Donation: For all Club members, the per seat donation earns current and cumulative gift credit toward your Hokie Club point priority ranking. (Refer to premium seat chart on page 5.) The Hokie Club will bill the per seat donation listed below in a separate invoice. Full payment of the premium donation must be received in order for tickets to be shipped. Seat donations are 80 percent tax deductible. Please contact your tax advisor to determine specifics. Indoor Club Seats: The Indoor Club areas feature comfortable upholstered chair-back seats, and provide a great view of the game in a climatecontrolled setting. Patrons in this area also have elevator access, private concessions and private restrooms. The Indoor Club features an all-inclusive (select items), elevated concessions menu of food and enhanced beverages available for purchase. These seats require an annual seat gift commitment of $2,000 per seat ($500.00 per seat Annual Fund allocation) plus the price of a season ticket. Outdoor Club Seats: Renovations completed in summer 2012 make these the best seats at Lane Stadium. Located at midfield on the West Side,
