White translucent acrylic panel, light weight, non-yellowing, excellent light diffusion without losing light efficiency. Distributes light evenly across entire surface and creates softer, unfocused light.

Optically clear graphic film, smooth suface captures digital four-color output, allows transparent and translucent images. Clear self-adhesive back.

Indication of a direction in a sign’s message is presented by a dimensional acrylic arrow. The arrow is a solid piece of clear acrylic with corners and edges beveled and rounded. Diamond polish the surfaces for a smooth, glossy finish. The source of color and graphic is the digital output underneath which is attached to the arrow using clear adhesives.

The iridescent, translucent, and vibrant qualities of the crystalline graphics are achieved through the layering of several different materials—each with its unique visual quality—and laminated as a single film. The laminated film is always placed behind a clear acrylic block or panel for protection.

Line and legend to be etched just adequate to be visible.

For Backlit Displays only (Light Box): Kodak Professional Duratrans Display Material for brilliant display transparencies from color negatives or internegatives. For Other Non-Backlit Inserts: Paper or other quality printable substrates are acceptable. Smooth, non-glossy finish. Art output recommended at the highest possible quality settings to be used (200 dpi minimum at actual size) for legibility of small type. Full color (CMYK minimum) process.

Crystalline Graphic Film Film Selection, Layering, and Lamination

Usage For sign type in which the use of Crystalline Graphic Film is specifically noted. This film is to be used with clear acrylic (flat panel or shaped) at all times for rigidity and protection.

Film Composition and Other Components The three components of the film are highlighted in the blue and white boxes.

Opaque White Backing (for non-backlit application ONLY)

SOLYX Clear Icicles SOLYX Bahama HDTE Film (digitally printed)

CF

Crystalline Graphic Film The iridescent, translucent, and vibrant qualities of the crystalline graphics are achieved through the layering of several different materials—each with its unique visual quality—and laminated as a single film. The laminated film is always placed behind a clear acrylic block or panel for protection. Note: In applications where the film is backlit and necessary for light transmission, use WITHOUT opaque white backing.

Acrylic Block or Panel (reference Clear Acrylic) Viewing Direction

Viewing Direction

This film is created by lamination of the three films listed below without deviation from this order, from front to rear—HDTE Film (printed with graphic), SOLYX Bahama Film, and SOLYX Clear Icicles Film. Remove air bubbles or air gaps on the surface, front or back. Carefully squeegee out air gaps on the entire surface of the film to ensure a smooth surface prior to mounting. Lamination substrate and adhesives must be invisible to view and not interfere with transmission of light. Choice of lamination substrate must seal the enclosed films from moisture and dust. HDTE Clear Film This method of printing involves dye-sublimation by printing images on the substrate and then encapsulated with a top layer protecting the image below. The output must have adequate coverage and rich saturation for all subsequent films to take on the colors of this graphic as their primary color tonality.

SOLYX Bahama Film Iridescent Dichroic Polyester film. The color tonality of this film changes when viewed at different angles, but will stay mostly within the blue and purple tones. No dyes or metals are used in the construction of this film, making it possible for backlit applications. Scratch resistant coating on surface.

SOLYX Clear Icicles Film Translucent embossed vinyl film. Light scattering prisms make this film look like frosted-cut glass while giving the illusion of dimensional facets on the flat printed film. The tactile side of the film must be turned away from viewing direction in the lamination process to minimize air bubbles from appearing.

For more information on both SOLYX films: http://www.decorativefilm.com/index.asp

Faceted Crystalline Pattern Side and Periphery Graphic Detail

Description A standard pattern is developed to appear on most freestanding and ceiling mounted sign types within the tower. This crystalline pattern takes form from a similar pattern that appears in spaces within the tower on the walls of the elevator bay and reception lobby. It is created by diagonal and intersecting angular lines forming faceted, polygonal geometry.

Usage and Cutting Details The usage of a standard pattern is compatible to use where the structural material is metal, often at the sides and other peripheral areas where a metal surface is present. The form of the pattern lends itself to expanding and contracting to accommodate various areas on signs yet retains a seamless appearance.

EG

Etched Graphic Line and legend to be etched just adequate to be visible. Faceted pattern to be etched at least 1mm in depth and filled with gray matching PMS Cool Gray 11C. Created by diagonal and intersecting angular lines forming faceted, polygonal geometry.

Pattern on the metal panel is to be processed as a continuous piece then cut into smaller pieces for visual continuity. The resulting pattern should be easily visible from a distance of <2m away. NOTE: Each sign type where this pattern appears is assigned with its own art file for fabrication. The name of the file will be indicated in the Materials & Finishes section of each sign.

Size adjustment is permissible only if the stroke weight of the etched lines are kept constant at 3mm wide across all sign types. Lines must appear depressed at a distance which means the lines must be cut with adequate depth. For this detail we recommend a depth of 1.5mm deep, or, the maxiumum depth the etching machinery allows but no less than 1mm in depth. Each line cut is to be filled with gray matching PMS Cool Gray 11C in matte finish. Bevel and sand away uneven edges prior to application of paint. Lines are to appear continuous and straight without breaks at intersections (see illustrations).

Tale of Two Brands Capital Market Authority Branding vs. CMA Tower Branding

Capital Market Authority Signage (For use on CMA specific floors only)

CMA Tower Signage (For use in general/public floors )

The signage for Capital Market Authority is specifically referencing the established look and feel of the corporate brand. The color reveal reflects the proximate tonality of the brand’s blue colors (PMS 2945 and PMS 2905). The diamond shape in the Capital Market Authority logo is subtly reflected in the faceted cuts and angular lines found on the signage.

The colors and form of the CMA Tower signage is complementary to the signage found on the Capital Market Authority floors yet distinctive enough to differentiate between the two brands. The basis of the tower signage emphasizes the architectural aesthetics of the tower — faceted cuts and color reveal appearing at the top edge symbolizes the “crown” at the top of the tower. The use of colors (Royal purple with a hint of blue/ sapphire colors) and typography serve as the visual connection between the brands.

NOTE: Printer must calibrate output process to achieve closest color match.

Seams should be kept to a minimum and no open gaps of more than 1mm are acceptable. Structure should be symmetrical and structurally sound. Use additional structural reinforcement (internal and hidden from view) if deemed necessary from an engineering standpoint. Exposed edges are to be beveled and smoothed-out, leaving no sharp edges that can cause injuries. If components are manufactured separately, the overall finish and color of material must be visually identical after assembly. Secure sign structure to ground using expansion bolts. Production of a full-scale, working prototype is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for this sign type to test for structural durability, functionality, and aesthetic quality.

The acrylic used shall be clear and without any hints of color cast or frosting. Diamond polish all surfaces for a clear, glossy finish allowing light to pass through unhindered. The color and graphic comes from the crystalline graphic film (see section on Crystalline Graphic Film) and is sandwiched in between the acrylic and the diffuser backer. The entire gem-stone portion of the sign is comprised by two acrylic groups (each with 2 acrylic elements) and joined by chemical welding to join as one. Each acrylic element must be cut and polished to fit on sign body precisely without open gaps or uneven seams. Prototyping and testing is crucial to acquire accurate measurements for final production.

Seams should be kept to a minimum and no open gaps of more than 1mm are acceptable. Structure should be symmetrical and structurally sound. Use additional structural reinforcement (internal and hidden from view) if necessary from an engineering standpoint. Exposed edges are to be beveled and smoothed-out, leaving no sharp edges that may cause injuries. If components are manufactured separately, the overall finish and color of material must be visually identical after assembly. Protective glass or any part of the structure should not detract from picture quailty of the LED monitors. Secure sign structure to ground using expansion bolts. Production of a full-scale, working prototype is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for this sign type to test for structural durability, functionality, and aesthetic quality. Mount to horizontal beam and detachable for ease of replacement; silent motor to reduce mechanical noises

Internal Air Circulation and Heat Dissipation Heat dissipation path located in the open spaces in between the rear of the monitor units where most of the heat is generated from the LED monitor units. The flow is facilitated by eight electronic Micro Fans distributed in three rows (top, middle and bottom). Fans at the lower portion help guide the heated air upwards, and the fans at the very top will provide the final push for heated air to exit out into the exterior of the structure through the top vents. Allow open gaps at bottom underneath the monitors for drawing in cool exterior air. Fans should be made detachable for replacement and maintenance purposes. All loose wires (from monitors, fans, etc.) must be attached to support frame for organization.

The acrylic used shall be clear and without any hints of color cast or frosting. Diamond polish all surfaces for a clear, glossy finish allowing light to pass through. The color and graphic comes from the crystalline graphic film (see section on Crystalline Graphic Film) and is sandwiched in between two pieces of clear acrylic. Both acrylic pieces and graphic film to be cut precisely for an exact fit when fully assembled. Secure all three components tightly to ensure graphic film stays flat without bending. Use metal brackets to compress and fasten all pieces together. Install LED light source behind the acrylic for backlighting effect.

Fabrication Notes & Requirements Seams should be kept to a minimum and no open gaps of more than 1mm are acceptable. Structure should be symmetrical and structurally sound. Use additional structural reinforcement (internal and hidden from view) if necessary from an engineering standpoint. Edges are to be beveled and smoothed-out; leaving no sharp edges that may cause injuries.

Internal Support Structure North and South Announcers

Internal Support Structure for North and South Announcers The shape of the internal structure follows the basic shape of the base structure. Support structure must fit within the interior spaces of the structure and be completely hidden from view. Attach the exterior skin to the internal support structure using stainless steel beams at strategic locations. Anchor structure to ground and provide additional fasteners to secure exterior skin independently. Constructed from stainless steel (non-corrosive) and must have the capacity to support the vertical and horizontal weight of the entire structure. Consult structural engineer for calculations and final design of the structure.

Highest quality materials and utmost level of workmanship required in the fabrication of the sign’s structure. Serves as premier entry marker, sign’s primary purpose is to “present” the tower’s logo in a regal, prestigious, and attractive way. The intent is to exemplify the crystalline quality of a gem stone unearthed from the ground. Note: The basic design of North and South Announcers are mirrored (with the exception of the logo) and share identical fabrication details/materials. Reference details of North Announcer when fabricating this sign.

Fabrication Notes & Requirements Parts and components must be made to fit with minimum amount and size (>1mm of opening seams) of visible seams. The choice of materials must be weather resistant and durable under local weather conditions. UV coating (to resist color fading) and non-glare coating on glass, acrylic, and other reflective surfaces is highly recommended. Use non-corrosive metal alloys but stainless steel is preferrable as the main building material.

One of the first signs to be seen as one arrives at one of the tower’s main entrances. Highest quality materials and utmost level of workmanship is required in the fabrication of the sign’s structure as the sign’s primary purpose is to “present” the tower’s logo in a regal, prestigious, and attractive way. The inspiration is taken from a precious gem stone unearthed from the ground, therefore, a portion of the sign is embedded in the ground.
