Los libros están siendo rechazados por muchos maestros por su alto contenido de propaganda política porque dicen los maestros que están repletos de ideología socialista y no tienen realmente un contenido que brinde conocimientos a los niños y ejercicios de Aritmética con arepas compradas en las “Areperas Socialistas”. Ya en el primer grado el niño ya comienza a ser instruido sobre la existencia de las Comunas, concepto que pretende terminar de desarmar la arquitectura democrática del país.

La embajada de Estados Unidos en Caracas informó que reanudó la emisión de visas a los venezolanos que la soliciten por primera vez luego de una suspensión motivada por limitaciones de personal tras la expulsión de varios funcionarios consulares y los retrasos del gobierno de Venezuela en la expedición de visados para nuevos empleados. La visa de visitante es para personas que deseen ingresar a Estados Unidos de manera temporal por negocios, placer o tratamiento médico. -¿Como haces para poder manejar todos estos roles en tu vida tan exitosamente? -¿Cuál ha sido tu “mantra”?
Alicia Machado: No se que responder ya que no me tomo el tiempo de darme cuenta de las cosas que he logrado ya que vivo el día a día trabajando con mucha disciplina, constancia y tratando de ser una mujer positiva cada día, es difícil lograr las metas pero justo allí está el mantra como lo llamas, pensar que nada es imposible cuando se trabaja con amor y disciplina.
-Esta es nuestra edición del Día de las Madres, cuéntanos ¿qué es lo más espectacular para ti de ser madre? Como te ha cambiado la vida tu hija Dinorah? A: lo más maravilloso de ser madre es que nunca más me he vuelto a sentir sola, siento una gran ilusión por tratar de criar a un gran ser humano, siento que mi vida tiene sentido, ha cambiado en que ahora mis decisiones no son tan espontáneas trato de hacer mas planes para darle a mi hija una vida estable, feliz y sana, tomando en cuenta que soy una madre sola. A: Precisamente mi condición de madre, comencé esta fundación cuando mi hija tenía seis meses de nacida, no es fácil para mí que he tenido el apoyo y las condiciones para salir adelante pero sé que no todas las madres tienen las oportunidades, somos más mujeres solas con nuestros hijos que lo que la gente se imagina y al final somos poco valoradas y apoyadas, así que trato dentro de lo que puedo echarles la mano a mujeres como yo que aman a sus hijos y hacen lo mejor por criar buenos seres humanos y sacarlos adelante en ocasiones con muchos tabúes y estigmas que aun en estas épocas nos tropezamos. licia, you’re a great example for Latinas. You’ve become the most famous Miss Universe of all time and one of the most respected Latina actresses in the industry. You’re a business woman, singer, have your own line of perfume and you are also the mother of a little girl.
- How do you do to handle all these roles in your life so successfully? - What has been your “mantra”? Alicia Machado: I don’t know what to answer because I don’t take the time to realize all the things I’ve achieved since I live day to day, work with a lot of discipline, perseverance and try to be a positive woman every day. It’s difficult to achieve goals, but right there is what you call mantra-- to believe that nothing is impossible when you work with love and discipline.
- This is our Mother’s Day edition; tell us what the most spectacular thing about being a mom is? How has your daughter Dinorah changed your life? A: The most wonderful thing about being a mother is that I have never felt alone again, I feel a great desire to try to raise a great human being, I feel my life has meaning, it has changed in that now my choices are not as spontaneous and I try to make plans so I can give my daughter a stable, happy and healthy life, considering the fact that I’m a single mother. My life has not only changed, it has been strengthened, now I have more activities, plans and commitments with someone else to share it with, to be more creative for and a better person for her and by her. I want her to feel proud of her mom when she grows up .
- In addition to being a mother, you have been “godmother” in the reality show “Nuestra Belleza Latina” - an excellent coach guiding the contestants with your knowledge. What attitude and qualities must one have in order to be a successful woman? A: Discipline, self-esteem, education, perseverance and seek support from those people, whom with love and respect will help us see our reality and advise us in times of confusion.
- You have your own line of perfume for women called “Malice “, and soon a fragrance for men, tell us what emotions this perfume arouses in a man and in his partner. What is it called? When will it be available? A: The perfume will be called MIO by Alicia Machado,
Why MIO (Mine)? The reason is that all women want her man to be hers always, for her only, MIO is the man of your dreams, for a woman in love. MIO is what ensures that love, a man who is dedicated to his partner lets himself be called MIO. It’s a fabulous fragrance; the aroma is personally what I like. I love a man to smell, sexy, manly, strong, elegant yet sweet.
- Tell us about why you decided that your third fragrance be men’s? A: I have a wonderful audience and the idea was really

- What inspired you to develop your foundation “Mamissolas “for single mothers? A: Precisely my situation as a mom was why I started this foundation when my daughter was six months old. It was not easy for me, even though I had all the support and conditions to succeed, and I know that not all mothers have this opportunity. We are more single women with children out there than what people can imagine and at the end we are little valued and supported, so I try in whatever way I can to lend a hand to women like me who love their children and do their best in raising good human beings, sometimes with many taboos and stigmas that even in these times we still stumble upon. My motto is: Mothers Alone for Whatever Reason
- Was the role of villain in the series “The Madame “based on the life of the Colombian “Madame, a difficult role to interpret? A: Whenever there’s a role where I have to put aside my values and principles as a human being and pull out of the box whatever’s necessary to interpret what I am really not, it’s a challenge. I love my career and today I am more committed to my profession and every role that requires a greater effort in interpretation, where I walk away from my comfort zone, is definitely what I want to interpret and “ The Madame “ was definitely a great learning experience .
- The lyrics of your song “La Incomprendida (The Misunderstood),” did you write them yourself? What inspired you? Do you have a musical project in mind? What new projects do you have coming up? A: It was actually written by Argentinean composer Diego De Pietri, a friend and a great artist; it’s a subject that I interpreted as my reality at the time. Music is a passion, a wonderful place to play what my heart feels like. - You have said in social media networks and in interviews how much you love your country and that Venezuela “is not the same as before” and that you’re afraid of returning to Venezuela? A: Not afraid… It’s sadness, it’s turbulent waters in which we no longer know if it’s Venezuela or what they are leaving of her…feeling pain of seeing such ineptitude . It’s a painful subject for any Venezuelan even for those who have to live in what they themselves created, the reality is that there is little left of the wonderful country where I was born. Thousands of runners will set off on May 4 at 6:00 a.m. EST along routes in varying daylight and weather conditions. While it will be early morning at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, competitors in Germany will set off at midday while those in Taiwan will start at 6:00 p.m. local time. Weston is the location for the second half of the endurance run. Various lane closures will take place on State Road 84, Indian Trace, Bonaventure Boulevard and Glades Parkway between 4:00AM-12:00PM. America needs an energy policy that ensures access to clean and reliable services. But we must also ensure electricity is universally affordable to all regardless of income, location or race. Solar power is the nation’s fastest growing source of alternative energy. According to data available from the Solar Energy Industries Association, a new solar power system is installed in the U.S. every four minutes. These types of on-premises power systems are part of a larger aspect of the energy space known as “distributed generation.” Distributed generation basically decentralizes power generation to the customer’s property, turning homes into miniature power plants that can provide energy for the consumer’s use and when there is excess electricity generated it can be sold onto the grid. A driving force behind the rapid increase in use of distributed generation platforms like solar has been the usage of net metering. Net metering is the billing mechanism that allows consumers with distributed generation to bring their bills to zero What does all of this mean for consumers who aren’t generating their own power? Net-metered households must still connect to the electric grid. The costs of maintaining the grid do not decrease because some customers install solar panels. At present, you pay for what you use but everyone shares in the cost of the network. But when solar-generating customers spin their meters backwards by selling excess energy back to the utility company, they pay neither the fixed nor the variable components, shifting those costs to customers who can’t afford to install solar panels. We should all be pleased with the growth of solar energy and fully support its inclusion along with other renewables in the nation’s energy portfolio. However, we cannot endorse a regressive policy that burdens those citizens least able to afford it.

I am interested in applying for asylum. Would it be possible that I be granted asylum due to the current situation of the country (Venezuela)? Cordially, Alejandra ANSWER : Dear Alejandra, With the current situation in Venezuela, there has been a lot of talk about the possibility that Venezuelan nationals be granted asylum in the United States. I have noticed, based on what I have heard that there are a lot of misconceptions about how a petition for asylum works and who is eligible for it, whether they’re from Venezuela or any other country. A woman on television went as far as to confirm that Venezuelan nationals could apply for asylum at this time and be granted automatically without prejudice. That is not the case and everybody should be careful. They should seek legal advice before making a decision to apply. It’s true that there is a situation in Venezuela that can support objective evidence that can withstand a petition for asylum. However, all the requirements established under the law must be met despite all that is happening in Venezuela. In order to qualify for asylum, a person must prove that he has been a victim of persecution in the past or that he is afraid of persecution in the future due to his race, religion, nationality, political opinion or membership to a particular social group. Persecution must come from the Government itself or from a group that the Government cannot or is unwilling to control. There must be a strong connection between the source of the persecution and the social group which in the majority of the Venezuelan cases, (not all) is their political affiliation. With what is happening, many people, no doubt can corroborate their well founded fear of persecution if they oppose the current government. Nevertheless, it is imperative to produce strong and overwhelming evidence. If you can prove that you supported an opposition group or that you are involved in activities here in the United States, opposing the current Government, these things can be very helpful. It is also very important to show proof of your political opinion and how that opinion was the cause or could be the cause of your persecution. Finally, it should be noted that the petition for asylum must be introduced, no later than a year within entry to the United States. There are limited exceptions to this rule, one of them being the changes in circumstances in a country. Even though the circumstances have changed in Venezuela significantly in the last few months, to prove the rule wrong, you must show that those changes in circumstances have affected you in a financial way. Atentamente, Alejandra RESPUESTA: Estimada Alejandra, Con la reciente situación que está ocurriendo en Venezuela, se ha hablado mucho sobre la posibilidad de los venezolanos de solicitar asilo en los Estados Unidos. De estos comentarios me he dado cuenta que hay un montón de ideas falsas circulando sobre cómo funciona el asilo, y cómo una persona de Venezuela o de cualquier país del mundo puede calificar para el asilo. Una mujer en la televisión al parecer fue tan lejos como para afirmar que los venezolanos pueden solicitar asilo en estos momentos y que con seguridad sería aprobada su petición de forma automática, sin ningún tipo de problema. Ese no es el caso, y todo el mundo debe tener cuidado y obtener la asistencia legal adecuada antes de decidirse a solicitar asilo. Es cierto que hay cosas sucediendo en Venezuela que pueden ofrecer evidencia de carácter objetivo que puede reforzar un caso de asilo, pero todos los requisitos previstos en la ley deben cumplirse, a pesar de todo lo que está sucediendo en Venezuela. Para poder calificar para el asilo, una persona debe demostrar que ha sido víctima de persecución en el pasado o que tiene temor de persecución en el futuro basado en su raza, religión, nacionalidad, opinión política o membrecía en un grupo social determinado. La persecución debe venir de parte del gobierno, o un grupo que el gobierno no puede o no quiere controlar. Tiene que haber una conexión fuerte entre la persecución y el grupo social, que en la mayoría (no todos) los casos de los venezolanos sería su opinión política. Con lo que está pasando, muchas personas sin duda pueden demostrar que tienen un temor fundado de persecución si se oponen al gobierno actual. Sin embargo, es necesario presentar evidencia fuerte y contundente. Marcos Malderon Medrano, es el Director Técnico más exitoso de la historia del futbol peruano. Nació un 11 de Julio 1954, como director técnico dicto cátedra y fue reconocido en el mundo entero. Y sumo once títulos en el futbol peruano, equipo que tomaba lo sacaba campeón. También gano La Copa América en 1975 y clasifico a Perú al Mundial de 1978, en Argentina. Llego al Alianza Lima para reemplazar al Paraguayo Cubilla. Iba rumbo a sumar su duodécimo título en el futbol peruano al frente de los “potrillos” hasta el fatal accidente del avión FOKKER F-27. Al hallarse su cuerpo en el fondo del mar, llevaba fuertemente apretado en la mano derecha el rosario de su madre. Sus restos fueron enterrados en el Cementerio Baquijano del Callao a pocos
metros de la tumba de Sarita Colonia. Yo tuve la dicha de conocerlo muy bien y fuimos muy buenos amigos, cuando estuve en la Alianza Lima, y él era el coach del equipo y la hinchada intima lo quería y respetaba. Recuerdo que salimos BICAMPEONES en 1977 y 1978, y logramos conformar un tremendo equipo, ya con Hugo “Cholo” Sotil que venia del Barcelona y Teófilo “Nene” Cubillas que venia del Porto con Jose “Patron” Velasquez y el zurdo de oro Cesar Cueto. Era un equipo de ensueño, y con base sostengo que era muy exigente y recto en su trabajo y los títulos alcanzados hablan por sí solo. i no han pasado por el Greek Joint últimamente, ahora podrán visitar su nuevo local en downtown Hollywood que es mucho más grande y completo.

Now you can enjoy their amazing authentic Greek-style food in a much larger location, yet still in the same relaxed atmosphere as before. Brothers Jimmy and Chris recently relocated the Greek Joint from Harrison Street to Hollywood Boulevard where they can now offer dining “Alfresco” and a full bar for Greek Joint lovers to enjoy drinks and then a great meal in their much larger dining room or outdoor cafe. What hasn’t changed is their oversized portions and reasonable prices.
Here are some of my absolute favorites from the Greek Joint fare: The Greek Joint’s “Souvlaki”, a “kebob,” with chunks of chicken or pork seasoned and grilled to perfection on a skewer. Platters of pita sandwiches and souvlaki include fries and a small salad. Juicy chunks of grilled chicken breast, with onions, tomato and a yogurt-based tzatziki sauce, stuffed generously into a soft and warm pita loaf.The Greek Joint’s Gyro meat is actually made by them so it’s as fresh as it gets and is the best I tried. Comenzamos una dieta y tratamos de matarnos de hambre y, básicamente, comer alimentos blandos y aburridos en un intento para bajar de peso. Creemos que tenemos que pasar 3 horas al día en el gimnasio. ¿Y quién diablos tiene tiempo para eso hoy en día? ¡Así que simplemente no lo hacemos! Of course we do, but it’s so hard these days because we are being bombarded with all these Fad Diets and the next big and expensive gadget that will “ help you lose weight”. There is no need to reinvent the wheel and use a gadget that makes the mid section shake all day long or the cookie diet or the juice………….. All you have to do is eat healthy and exercise! Then why is it so hard? Well, it’s hard because most of us moms are so ALL or NOTHING. We start a diet and try to basically starve ourselves and eat bland and boring foods in an attempt to lose weight. We think we need to spend 3 hours a day at the gym. And who the heck has time for that in this day and age? So we just don’t do it! Not to mention its’ incredibly hard to deprive yourself of food and eat bland and boring for any amount of time necessary to get a good enough result.
Recipes/Recetas: Healthy Chocolate Mouse
Ingredients: 2 Hass Avocados, ripe, seeded and peeled 3 tbsp coconut oil 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder ¼ tsp agave 2 Stevia ½ cup chocolate chips (gluten and dairy free) Instructions: In a saucepan, melt the chocolate chips with the agave and coconut oil. Let cool a little and in a food processor or good blender add all the ingredients and pulse until creamy and well incorporated. Serve at room temperature or place in the fridge for a few hours. 2 packets of Stevia 2 Tbsp Agave 1 tsp vanilla extract ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder ½ cup unsweetened applesauce ½ tsp baking soda 1/3 cup gluten and dairy free chocolate chips Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a food processor, add all the ingredients except the chocolate chips, and pulse until well incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips and place in an 8x8 baking dish and bake for ~ 20 minutes or until done. Make it a special Mothers Day avoid Sea Creature entertainment venues. Whales are mammals. I know I’m just a dog but dog spelled backwards is GOD. We are all God’s creatures, even a flea yesiree... there are humane ways of treating all. When my Mom would find a flea on me she would split it in half with her fingernails. Why did God invent fleas and mosquitoes? I guess for dragonfly and frog food? It is a shame to have to adopt out litters of critters, however when it comes to whales and dolphins who are mammals like my Mom they are independent and do not need anyone to clean their litter box, feed or groom them. They do need for Man to not pollute their ocean and to not kidnap and confine them to live in a tank for exhibition the rest of their lives. This really saddens me. Have you watched the documentary Black Fish? When we heard the kidnapped whale literally WHALING LIKE A BABY with heavy hearts we cried too. Pegasus slaying an equally imposing dragon is being constructed. The structure is being built from 450 tons of bronze and steel and will stretch 220 feet long and stand 110 feet tall. The Pegasus which is located on the north side of Gulfstream’s property began construction several months ago and the estimated completion date is December 2014.
