Design

I

am a decorator and have been designing luxury homes and offices for nearly 12 years. I also design spaces for children and adults in the Autistic Spectrum, ADHD, Aspergers, Dyslexia and other sensory challenges. As the mother of twin girls, I had always been intrigued by each of my daughter’s “unique emotional blueprints,” and how their environment altered their development and behavior. One of my daughters has sensory issues. She is sensitive to certain colors, sounds, surfaces and smells. She has taught me a lot about a persons sensory needs. I began incorporating these elements into my client’s spaces, specifically the ones with sensory and developmental issues. I call it “Design with Direction.” When approaching the design of a space for a child or adult with Autism, think about your goals for the room. Every child is different including a child with Autism. Consider safety first. Reconsider items that have cords or strings, breakable mirrors etc. Furniture, especially larger, heavier pieces should be anchored to walls.” The best design of a room is a space that addresses the child’s specific arousal level. Do they need a stimulating or calming environment? This will enable them to have the security to learn and function.” Consider the following: 1. Bean bags, floor cushions, small tents for cocooning, rocking chairs, tunnels and swings are wonderful additions to the space. 2. Smell is the strongest sense in our body. It appears that children with Autism have a keen sense of smell. Use organic aromatherapy in the space to calm or stimulate. 3. White noise, such as the sound of a whirring fan, could sound like nails on a chalkboard to a child with Autism. Incorporate calming nature sounds such as waterfalls, the ocean, rain and birds chirping. 4. Studies have shown that children with Autism see the color red as fluorescent and appear calmer in pink and soft blue surroundings. Select paint colors that are relaxing and toxin free. 5. Research suggests that children with Autism might visually process their surrounding differently which

could alter how they spatially interpret a room. Keep the space as clean and as clutter free as possible. 6. Add multisensory toys and products such as microphones, koosh balls and slinky’s to the space. Consider items that address gross and fine motor skill function and objects for pushing, pulling, rolling and hugging. Incorporate visually stimulating products such as clocks, wind chimes, crystals and toy fish tanks. 7. Select soft, diffused lighting. Choose ceiling fixtures that are covered with frosted glass, table lamps that don’t give off harsh light, and don’t forget outlet covers. 8. Many children with challenges are drawn to animals. Hang wall coverings and art that portray happy images and artwork of baby animals. 9. Many children with Autism appear to react painfully to light touch or tickling. Use blankets that are heavy and enveloping 10. Furnishings should be low to the ground. In place of a traditional desk and chair, consider a small coffee table with big pillows to sit on or a lap buddy. 11. In order for the child to learn while at play, store small toys and items in clear bins with labels and graphics to match. 12. Secure a cork board to the wall for family photos and child’s art. Change the artwork frequently. Use putty in place of thumbtacks. 13. Transitioning, or going from one task to the next can be challenging for a child with Autism. So, hang a transition chart to guide them. 14. Regardless of the child’s age, treat the space as if it’s being designed for a young child, assuring safety and unexpected dangers. Consider an upholstered, low platform bed and a snug mattress, preferably organic. Within all of us lies the ability to tune in or tune out sensory information. However for a child with Autism, this is a constant challenge; one that creates a state of imbalance. It is fundamental for all children to first trust their environment so that they can explore it, interact with it, learn from it and thrive.” Deborah Rosenberg of www.DiMareDesign.com and www.Ddigz.com can be reached at info@ DiMareDesign.com or 786-629-9581.

M

ost of us have experienced what I refer to as “the square peg in a round hole” moment. It’s that uncomfortable feeling we get when we are completely out of sync with our surroundings or the people around us. To a person with Autism, this is not a temporary situation. Autism is a neurological disorder that impairs a person’s ability to communicate and relate to others. It’s associated with rigid routines and repetitive behavior. One in 45 children in this country alone are diagnosed with Autism and no cure has yet been found. Our fastpaced world is a constant struggle for this population. They have difficulty expressing their discomfort, which leads to tremendous frustration. In order to thrive and grow to their full potential, children with Autism, as do all of us, need to feel in control in an environment that is comforting and nonthreatening.

Are you considering CoolSculpting

.What is CoolSculpting and How does it work?

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive, clinically proven procedure to selectively reduce stubborn fat using a patented cooling technology. It is a safe procedure cleared by the FDA that gently cools unwanted fat cells in the body to induce a natural, controlled elimination of fat cells. This reduces fat in treated areas of the body without harming surrounding tissues.

2. Who is the ideal candidate for CoolSculpting? It’s for men and women. CoolSculpting is not intended as a weight-reduction program for overweight individuals. The best candidates for CoolSculpting are people at or near their ideal body weight who eat well and exercise regularly and have stubborn fat that does not respond to a healthy lifestyle. They are seeking fat reduction but are not considering surgical procedure. With a customized treatment plan, patients can achieve dramatic results with this non-surgical procedure.

3. What type of results can one expect?

Patients who get CoolSculpting done can expect to see a noticeable reduction of fat in the treated area, an average of 20-23%. And the treated fat cells are gone for good. If patients maintain a healthy lifestyle, the results of their procedure are long lasting and durable.

4. How much does it cost?

The cost depends on the physician and the individual patient’s CoolSculpting procedure plan; however, the range is approximately $700-$1,500 for each treated area.

5. What does exactly happen to the fat cells in the body and how do they go away?

During the CoolSculpting procedure, a non-invasive applicator delivers precisely controlled cooling to the treatment area to specifically target underlying fat, leaving surface skin and other surrounding tissue unaffected. When fat cells are exposed to extreme cold, a process of

for Stubborn Fat?

natural cell death is triggered and dead cells are naturally removed, which gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer. The result is a noticeable and measurable reduction of fat in the treated area.

6. How is this different than liposuction?

The results of a CoolSculpting treatment are not as rapid as invasive procedures such as liposuction. However, if you want to avoid the pain during treatment, risk and recovery time associated with surgical procedures like liposuction, CoolSculpting may be the preferred option.

7. What are the risks?

There is very minimal risk due to the non-invasive nature of CoolSculpting. After the procedure some patients experience redness, tingling, minor bruising or numbers in the treated areas, but this is temporary. No pain medication is required during treatment. Results and patient experiences may vary.

8. What does CoolSculpting feel like? How long does it take?

When the applicator is first applied to the skin, it feels a little like a “tugging” sensation and you start to feel the cold. Each area treated takes approximately one hour. Additional treatments in the same or multiple areas may help enhance the desired aesthetic effect.

9. What is the downtime?

CoolSculpting involves no needles or surgery resulting in no downtime. Since the CoolSculpting procedure is non-surgical, patients typically resume daily activities, including work and exercise, immediately following treatment.

10. How long does it take and how long does it last? Each CoolSculpting procedure lasts one to two hours. A

patient’s customized treatment plan determines exactly how many treatments are needed to achieve the desired result. Following the procedure, if patients maintain a healthy lifestyle through eating and exercise, the results of the procedures are long lasting and durable.

11. Does the weight come right back on?

Actually, to clarify…CoolSculpting is not a weight loss procedure. Patients do not lose weight and that should not be an expectation. They reduce fat bulges/pockets in certain areas on their body which, from what patients have told us, results in their clothes fitting much better, they look better or go down in clothing size. Following the CoolSculpting treatment, if patients maintain a healthy lifestyle through eating and exercise, the results of the procedure are long lasting and durable.

12. Would you use this on yourself?

Yes, absolutely. CoolSculpting is the solution for those of us who simply want to look better and have stubborn fat that does not go away no matter how much we diet and exercise. In addition, the popularity of non-invasive procedures continues to grow year after year, which is why I offer CoolSculpting in my practice.

The Facts about...

BOTOX “The Good, the Bad & the Ugly”

Avoiding unsatisfactory results

By: Neeta Mitroo, MD J B Mitroo, MIE

W

hat is it? To most of us, it is either a “magical” treatment for our worrisome wrinkles, or it is “nightmare come true”. It all depends what results you get on your face. The medical name for Botox Cosmetic is onabotulinumtoxinA. It is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines (wrinkles) between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in people 18 to 65 years of age for a few months. It is also similarly effective for wrinkles on the forehead and “Crows-feet” (corners of the eyes). Other commonly used products to reduce appearance of wrinkles in these areas are Dysport and Xeomin and they work on wrinkles in basically the same

way. Hereafter, Botox will also imply any of the other two products. How does it work? Botox and the other two products work in the same way; by relaxing the muscles in the three areas. Wrinkles in these areas could have resulted from squinting in prolonged exposure to sun, and frowning in worrisome and stressful environment. How long does the result last? Generally 3 to 5 months, depending upon the severity of the wrinkles, age of the person, the skin condition and also if the person has previously taken Botox treatment. Asking for a bigger dose than that recommended by a physician would not make the result last longer. On the contrary, it is likely to cause some problems (“horror stories – see below). Why the horror stories? After

Botox, some people have experienced eyebrow or eyelid droop down; the “ugly look”. This is due to excessive dose or inaccurate injection site. Obviously, the problem is not Botox or its competing products. It is because of faulty injecting technique. How to avoid unsatisfactory result? The injecting sites have to be carefully selected to effectively neutralize the wrinkles. The experience and expertise of the injector (physician) is critically important in getting optimally good result. He/ she must have good accurate knowledge of the anatomy of the muscles to be injected, before selecting the injecting sites. Sure, you should shop for Botox prices, but don’t shop for it as if you are buying a grocery item. That is why the question “How much

you charge for Botox” can lead you to some low-priced place, where you may not find an experienced physician. Instead, focus on who will give you the treatment correctly. Will it be the physician who talked to you during consultation, or some other “trained” person? Also, what is the level of experience and expertise of the physician? Then only the price should come in to consideration. One such experienced physician is Neeta Mitroo, MD, who owns and operates Sitara Medi Spa at 2461 East Commercial Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. She has over 15 years of experience in Botox and other aesthetic injectable treatments. She uses the latest advanced injecting techniques. Give Sitara a call for FREE consultation. They will make you feel like a star; like their logo says. 954-237-6646.

the Natural Way

Lose Inches the Natural Way! The fatty tissue in your body acts as a “toxic waste disposal site”, where substances that cannot be metabolized are deposited. This congested tissue also has poor blood circulation, so when blood has a hard time getting in, waste has a hard time getting out. A natural way for treating this tissue is through a blend of lymphatic drainage and deep-tissue massage called Lypossage. This technique cleanses the body of the stagnant lymphatic fluid that causes the lumps and bulges. Deeper strokes break up adhesions under the skin that contribute to the dimpled, uneven appearance of cellulite. This treatment also tones the muscles, lifting and firming the tissues. Areas to be treated include the buttocks, hips, thighs, abdomen, chest, back and arms, giving a firmer smoother appearance to the saggy, creepy skin that belies aging. Treating the face and neck can also create dramatic reaffirming effects, producing a natural lift. Lypossage is a safe and natural

reductive treatment that offers many benefits. By helping the body flush out toxins and retained fluids, it can also enhance energy, mental clarity and overall well-being. Treatments last from 30 minutes to one hour and are performed in a series of 18 over the course of 6 weeks. Noticeable results will occur after about 8 treatments.

The adoption of a healthy lifestyle is the best complement to Lypossage. A diet rich in whole organic foods, practicing Yoga regularly and some cardio routine will contribute to a terrific outcome. Avoiding foods that contain hormones, preservatives and are processed or refined, will allow to keep the newly detoxified body in the best shape possible. Drinking generous amounts of water and ginger tea is key to maintaining the body cleansed. Schedule a private consultation for complete details and to find out if you are a good candidate for this unique, alternative contouring treatment. We cordially invite you to make an appointment by calling 954-237-3500 or visiting www.jothivita.com.

ith her unique urban style and catchy rap beats, Rebbeca Marie Gomez, better known by her stage name as Becky G, at only 18, has managed to capture the hearts of her fans, called #Beasters and today is one of the most followed singers across every social media platform. This inspiring Latina has become a powerful role model for teen. Always the trendsetter, she is currently the dazzling face for Covergirl. Becky G first became recognized in 2011, after she posted several videos of herself performing remixes of popular songs on YouTube. Her unique urban pop style with a bit of Latin spice made her a sensation. Becky G quickly rose to stardom following the release of her EP “Play It Again” in which she pays homage to her Mexican heritage while cruising through her old school with her girlfriends. Her real break came when songwriter/ record producer Dr. Luke showed one of her early music videos to will.i.am, the multi-platinum producer and Black Eyed Peas frontman immediately wanted her and the rest is history. Becky spent her early childhood in Moreno Valley living with her SpanishMexican family and went through difficult financial times, even living in her grandmother’s garage. Becky began writing her own songs and recording them on GarageBand at age 11. By 13, she had taught herself to play the guitar. But Stardom didn’t change Becky who still does chores - cleans the bathroom and watches her three younger siblings. Her recent video “Becky From The Block” (which was filmed in Becky’s Los Angeles hometown of Inglewood) has “knocked it out of the park” on YouTube. Some of her recent accomplishments: -Scoring a #1 single (Can’t Get Enough feat.Pitbull) on Latin Billboard Charts, - Winning “The Best New Artist” award on Radio Disney Music Awards, wrapping her first major support tour with Austin Mahone. -Named one of Time Magazines most influential teens of 2014 as well as one of Billboard Magazine’s under 21 (2014) Music’s Hottest Young Stars. -Her hit single “Shower” was one of People Magazine’s “Top 10 Song of the Summer.”

-She recently toured with Demi Lovato and Katy Perry. -Joined pop Mexican megastar Thalía to film the video “Como Tú No Hay Dos.” At what age did you realize you had star power? BG *I think I really discovered it the 1st time I set foot on stage at the age of 10 at Universal City Walk. I felt such a rush and the most powerful feeling that just came over me. I felt invincible. You started writing songs at age 11, what inspired you? What did you rap about? BG*The 1st time I started writing music was because I heard a writer made more money than the artist in some songs. It motivated me to not just stop at singing but being part of the entire process. Your parents are Mexican, do you celebrate the Latino culture at home? BG*My parents are second generation and my grandparents only speak Spanish. My 1st language was English and if I wanted to have a relationship with my grandparents I would have to speak to them in Spanish. We celebrate our Latino culture everyday not just on holidays. It’s in our food every day, it’s in the way we speak, our mannerisms, the way we pray as a family, the way we celebrate, it’s in our music we listen to, it’s in the programming we watch on TV. I love everything about our culture and I embrace it.

What’s your favorite Latin food? BG*My favorite Latin food is this dish called Posole, I also love “tacos de asado con todo.” Can’t leave out some good chicken and cheese enchiladas. Yum… getting hungry from just thinking about it. What are some of the best lessons you learned from growing up in Inglewood? BG*Growing up In Inglewood I always remember how my grandma would cook great amounts of food and take food to the neighbors or the people who lived around the block or down the street. Eventually the same people she shared food with would bring dishes back to her with amazing food. If someone was sick in the neighborhood we knew to pray for them. The Community was very sweet to each other. What was the first song you remixed? Who is your favorite artist to remix? BG*Kesha’s Die Young was my first official remix after getting signed:) my favorite artist I like remixing always changes! I love so many artist! What artists would you like to collaborate with in the future? BG*I would love to collaborate with Artist like Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Miguel, Daddy Yankee, Bruno Mars ,

Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Megan Trainor and many more :) What do you like most about being “The” face of CoverGirl cosmetics? BG*It’s a great brand, it’s very reachable to girls my age. I remember wearing CoverGirl makeup at the age of 13. I think cover girl caters very well to young woman. It’s fun and it’s really good makeup. You have toured with Demi Lovato, Katy Perry and Jason Derulo and had collaborations with Will.i.am to Pitbull and recently did a duet with Thalia…What’s next for Becky G? Movies, TV, more music?… BG*I’m so excited about my career right now, I would love to see myself on the big screen in a movie , I want to put my hands in fashion, I would want to be in some of my favorite shows that I watch. Who knows, I’m just excited and fell very blessed to be able to have these amazing opportunities. What’s your best advice for young aspiring singers? BG*Don’t ever give up. Always listen to yourself and go with your gut. Be ready for the challenges. It’s not easy but definitely worth it!

¡Me encanta muchos artistas!

Siempre escúchate a ti mismo y a tu presentimiento.

Algunos de sus logros recientes: -Su sencillo (Can’t Get Enough feat. Me sentía invencible.

The new Lincoln MKC is not only visually stunning; it’s also incredibly smart and innovative. One of the MKC’s most impressive features is the Active Noise Control. With this technology, unwanted noise is reduced while desired sound is enhanced. The microphones monitor the cabin’s sound profile, which is replicated and inverted to generate an opposing sound wave through the speakers. The original sound wave and the opposing one simply cancel each other out. Active noise control is especially effective in low frequency or pitch range.

If you’re tired of missing life’s “Kodak moments” because you didn’t get your camera out in time, then the QindredCam is just for you. This clip-on, or necklaced, camera can automatically detect memories worth capturing based on certain cues. The camera will selfactivate if someone smiles or if there’s a change in atmosphere or lighting. The accompanying app allows you to see what the camera is capturing real-time and facilitates social sharing. The QindredCam comes with 4GB of memory, and can easily be cleared by transferring the photos to your smartphone or cloud. This automated camera will be released throughout the US, Europe and Japan in Q2 2015 with a price tag of $149.

P53 | April 2015 | www.holalatinonews.com | Earth Day

Living Greener Here’s how to make a difference:

In the AM • Brew “certified” coffee. A USDA Certified Organic label means it was grown using sustainable standards. At Work • Configure your office printer or copy machine so it prints on both sides of the page. • Fill up a water bottle: instead of buying disposable plastic water bottles, fill up a refillable water container to decrease the energy used in producing, transporting, and disposing plastic bottles. • Use electronic media. Make greater use of electronic media and limit the number of print outs. • Recycle! No matter what kind of paper you buy, and how much you use, recycle as much of it as possible. • Use BYOB bags to carry your lunch or buy food. Before Bed • Truly turn off electronics. Plug your devices — the TV and DVD player, or the computer and printer — into a ULcertified power strip; switch the whole group off. • Turn off the water while brushing your teeth. Leaving the tap running during the recommended two minutes of brushing can waste up to five gallons of water a day.

In General -Reduce plastic use. Many kinds of plastics contain endocrine disrupters that can cause all sorts of health issues from obesity to liver problems. -Avoid food treated with antibiotics. Widespread use of antibiotics for livestock has led to the growth of superbugs that cause illness in humans and decrease the effectiveness of certain drugs. Buy organic meat and dairy products or switch to a vegetarian/vegan diet. -Say no to Bulk Mail: EarthShare’s partner, 41pounds.org, can help you rid your life of all that waste by contacting 20 to 30 direct mail companies on your behalf to stop the majority of your bulk mail. For each person who signs up for their service, 41pounds.org donates more than 1/3 of the $41 fee to EarthShare and they’ll stop your junk mail for five years. This will: •Save trees. More than 100 million trees are destroyed each year to produce junk mail. 42% of timber harvested nationwide becomes pulpwood for paper. •Reduce global warming. The energy used to produce and dispose of junk mail exceeds 2.8 million cars.

Los padres podrán participar en una clase de Zumba en la playa Place: Hallandale Beach On Hallandale Beach Boulevard and Ocean Drive, (meet on beach between Fire Station and the Beach Club Condo) Date: Saturday, April 11, 2015 Time: 9:15 am

Children from Nana’s Preschool

Nana’s Preschool Beach Cleanup Event for Earth Day Nana’s Preschool will be hosting a Hallandale Beach cleanup day to promote environmental and community awareness. This event will give the opportunity for parents to meet other parents, interact with their children, exercise, and share an important moment with their child, other parents and Nana’s family. They will be joined by Hallandale Beach City Mayor, Mayor Joy Cooper. There will be a performance from Nana’s dance group. Parents will be able to join in on a Beach Zumba Class!

An eco-friendly lifestyle is easier than you think. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, we bring you these tips to create a greener environment for you— and our beautiful earth.

•Save water. About 28 billion gallons of water are wasted to produce and recycle junk each year. •Save time. You waste about 70 hours a year dealing with junk mail. -Switch to an electric vehicle or hybrid. Hybrids and electric vehicles are now available from just about every manufacturer, have better gas mileage and run cleaner than their counterparts. If you can’t make the switch, try to look for a car that has the highest miles per gallon (MPG). -Recycle your cross-trainers. After putting in all of that extra mileage, your new shoes are bound to lose their bounce. Instead of tossing them, give your shoes new life with Nike’s Reuse-A-Shoe program. Just drop them off at any Nike store. Worn out shoes are used to build new tracks, basketball and tennis courts! - Use LED lighting. They achieve full brightness instantly and work well with dimmers. -Opt for organic. Cotton is the most pesticide-intensive crop out there. Non-organic cotton production is responsible for 11% of global pesticide usage. Celebrate this Earth Day by giving thanks to our environment and putting your two cents worth in making a difference.

Destrucción del esmalte

dentario y su peligro

L

HIPPITY HOP, DON’T EASTER BUNNY SHOP

H

ave you ever wondered how the Easter Bunny originated? The Easter Bunny has become such a joyous symbol of Christianity’s most important holiday due to being an ancient symbol of fertility and new life at spring time. The Easter Bunny first arrived in America in the 1700’s with German immigrants who settled in Pennsylvania and transported their tradition of an egg-laying hare called “Osterhase” or Oschter Haws.” Their children made nests in which this creature would lay its colored eggs. The custom of the Easter Bunny folklore goes on to this day. Did you know that a Hare and a Bunny are two different species? The Hare doesn’t burrow and is bigger, has larger ears and not as social both species can conceive a second litter while still having buns in the oven, hence the saying “To breed like bunnies.” Rabbits must be Christian because they sure don’t believe in birth control wag wag. I am asking that all Christians and houses of worship educate families and their children although bunnies are cute it’s no fun for a bun at Easter time unless you are going to make a ten year commitment. Bunnies are like me they have emotions and are not harebrained no bun intended. Bunnies are sexy too look at the Playboy Bunnies wag wag.... Have you ever met a Jewish bunny they hop to shop if I had a cotton tail it would be bopping right now. Children and bunnies are not a match made in Heaven. Please request that your local pet stores STOP SELLING RABBITS. Children make rabbits nervous and stressed which can cause a heart attack. Rabbits are not little puppies they are more subtle. They are NOT stuffed animals and are insecure when held. Rabbits are not cuddly like they appear. It is not right to expect your child to take on the responsibility of a rabbit. Once your child looses interest the rabbit winds up neglected and surrendered to the pound. Bunnies chew electrical cords rugs, books and furniture. Our bunny chewed on our antique Chinese cabinet. Outdoor rabbits become depressed from being isolated. They are intelligent social animals who don’t want to live their life in a hutch outside away from the family. The moment they stop grazing and going #2 you have 1 hour to get them to an Exotic Animal Vet. Here is a poem I want to share with you to give anyone you may know that plans on buying their child a live bunny to read.Links to Rabbit Rescues in South Florida are: http://www.southfloridarabbitrescue.com/Phone: 561-212-2712http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/hare.htm lKEY LARGO ANIMAL SHELTER RESCUED RABBITS or call them at 305-451-0088 to learn more about their current adoptable rabbits. http://rabbit.org/faq-how-to-find-a-goodrabbit-vhttp:// www.bio.miami.edu/hare/vets.htmlet/ FLYERS FOR RABBIT RIGHTS http://rabbit.org/flyers-for-easter-and-bunnies-dont-mix/

EASTER BUNNY POEM by Mary Brandolino In Memory of all the bunnies we couldn’t save. I remember Easter Sunday it was colorful and fun. The new life that I’d begun in my new cage. I was just a little thing when they brought me from the store and they put me on the floor in my cage. They would take me out to play love and pet me all the time then at day’s end I would climb into my cage. In the night outside their house I felt so sad and so neglected often scared and unprotected in my cage. In the dry or rainy weather sometimes hotter sometimes colder I just sat there growing older in my cage. The cat and dog raced by me playing with each other only while I sat there feeling lonely in my cage. Upon the fresh green grass children skipped and laughed all day I could only watch them play from my cage. They used to take me out and let me scamper in the sun I no longer get to run in my cage. Once a cute and cuddly bunny like a little ball of cotton now I’m grown up and forgotten in my cage. I don’t know what went wrong at the home I did inhabit I just grew to be a rabbit in my cage. But they’ve brought me to the pound I was once loved and enjoyed now I wait to be destroyed in my cage. A rabbit’s foot is not a good luck charm and the only rabbit for your child at Easter time is a chocolate Easter Bunny. Dogs Cats & Rabbits cannot eat chocolate Easter Bunnies or Peeps. I love Peeps but they get my fur all sticky. Domestic rabbits should never be set free.

This Heat Season A Big Success,

Given All The Challenges

In April, the Miami Heat will most likely be headed to the NBA playoffs, which is truly AMAZING for the team and the fans known as “Heat Nation”. This has been one of the most challenging years in the team’s history. They started the year adjusting to Lebron’s departure to Cleveland, they lost Josh McRoberts one of their key off-season acquisitions to a knee injury, and then lost their franchiseplayer Chris Bosh for the season to a lung blood clot. Necessary adjustments have generated a record 28 different starting line-ups. Additions to the team have included Hassan Whiteside, who has shown star-quality but has also shown to be a hot-head. Michael Beasley is back for his third time with the Heat with multiple 10-day contracts and extensions.

Goran Dragic new but key to the Heat’s success.

And then there is the rest of the team who bring it all together and demonstrating their experience, Dwayne Wade, Udonis Haslem, Mario Chambers and the “Birdman”, as well as Luol Deng and Goran Dragic. They will ALL need to make significant contributions each and every game in order to win even in the first round. It’s still unknown what team the Heat will play in the first round; but most likely they will either play the Cleveland Cavaliers or Atlanta Hawks. The best matchup for the Heat to have a winning chance would be to play Cleveland, who the Heat has beat 2-1 this season. Needless to say playing spoiler to the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James would be a lot of FUN for the “Heat Nation” and NBA fans around the country and the world.
