Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) For Skin Rejuvenation Greg Chernoff, M.D., F.R.C.S.(C) Research demonstrates that our own Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) has the power to heal and regenerate tissue in all areas of our body. PRP treatment uses your own platelets, rich in your own growth factors, to generate new collagen and blood supply. The treatment helps to repair and regenerate damaged skin and reverse the signs of aging. How does PRP treatment rejuvenate skin? Platelets are the cells in the blood that help tissue to heal and grow new cells. When Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is properly injected into specific areas of the skin, it promotes your own collagen growth, regenerates tissue, and naturally improves skin tone and texture. Studies document that PRP grows new collagen when injected into the skin, and new studies show that PRP can soften sun damage and other aging skin issues. Is PRP safe for cosmetic use? Yes, PRP has been safely and effectively used for cosmetic treatments. PRP has been used in orthopedic medicine, dentistry, and reconstructive surgery for over 30 years. Now PRP’s uses are expanding, for use in accelerating wound healing, as well as for cosmetic face and hand rejuvenation. Can PRP injections be performed with other treatments and dermal fillers? Yes, PRP can be combined with almost every treatment or procedure to enhance results. Most of Dr. Chernoff’s patients combine PRP injections with surgical procedures (facelifts), injectables, laser treatments, and facials. Some patients choose PRP as a stand-alone treatment to improve the overall quality, tightness, and texture of their skin.
How much improvement can I expect from PRP and how long will it last? Since PRP comes from your own body the results vary for each person. Our patients have noticeable improvement in the tone, texture, and overall quality of their skin. They have been impressed with the results. Some of Dr. Chernoff’s patients have experienced improved volume in their hands and faces, as well as a shorter recovery from facial surgery procedures. Results begin to show 3-4 weeks after the treatment session and continue to improve with time. One to three treatment sessions are generally recommended, spaced 1-2 months apart, to achieve the best outcome. What to expect during and after the PRP procedure? A small amount of blood will be drawn from you and the PRP is prepared. The injections take a few moments, and are only mildly uncomfortable. The procedure is quick, relatively painless, and requires no post procedure care or time off from daily events. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising fades within 1-3 days. PRP therapy is another way Dr. Chernoff uses research and advanced techniques to give patients natural and lasting results. PRP is one of many treatments we use for our trademarked procedure: YOUR NATURAL BEST®, which are unique and individualized treatment combinations exclusively developed by Dr. Chernoff to enhance his patient’s natural features. The combination therapy creates balance, symmetry, and an overall picture of excellent health. Chernoff Cosmetic Surgeons is one of the most comprehensive Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Centers in the United States. Dr. Chernoff is involved in numerous research programs that will expand the treatments available to our patients for face and body rejuvenation. YOUR NATURAL BEST® is a Registered Trademark of Chernoff Cosmetic Surgeons.

Do You Have Rich Habits?
by Sheryl Matthys, Founder of Successful Women Made Here (SWMH) Do the mega-wealthy utilize their time differently in order to achieve success? You bet! The very rich actually have certain habits according to years of research by Tom Corley. Their “Rich Habits” focus on achievement, which provide more time for profitable work, family, and fun. I consider this a wealth formula – a tune up to more success! Now, incorporating some of these may not immediately put money in your pocket but in time you’ll become more efficient at work and more aware of how you spend your time – which may open doors of opportunities for you. These habits are a way of working smarter not harder. How does your lifestyle compare? Here are 6 of the 16 “Rich Habits.” 1. LESS TV: The mega-wealthy watch less than an hour of TV a day. That one may be my biggest challenge! Instead, free time includes in-person activities like personal development, volunteering, and networking. Yes, they spend their extra time learning more and building relationships. Their philosophy is “Learn to Earn!” 2. READ MORE: At least 30 minutes a day, the mega wealthy read, or listen to audio books and the genre pertains to non-fiction, education, current events, biographies, or history. The purpose of reading is for improvement and information. Fifty Shades of Grey is most likely not on their bookshelves, but then everyone needs a little break, right? 3. LIVE WITHIN MEANS: Yes, even with all their money – they live within their means. Sure, you may think when you have millions does the well ever run dry? Well, we all know of celebrities who seem to have it made yet declare bankruptcy. The mega-wealthy pay their Present & Future-self first. They invest in themselves with materials, masterminds, conferences, as well as in a portfolio. This includes a retirement plan; investment funds that don’t lose money
– other than stocks; less than 25% toward housing or their housing is paid off, 15% on food expenditures, and tend to “buy” instead of lease. 4. MANAGE EMOTIONS: The mega-wealthy master controlling their emotions by filtering them. They understand volatile behavior can destroy work and home relationships. Loose lips lead to trouble and to the wealthy are a sign of those who struggle. 5. GO ABOVE AND BEYOND: The mega-wealthy write articles, are board members, create companies, speak at events, attend networking functions if not in charge of them…Those who struggle tend to say, “I don’t have time for that or that’s not my job.” 6. POSITIVE OUTLOOK: The megawealthy know their purpose in life. They love what they do, have hope, set one big goal, and pursue their dream like it is their reason for living. These are just 6 of the 16 “Rich Habits” of Tom’s research. I created a one-page cheat sheet I’d love to send to you. Simply “Contact Us” from our website with subject line of “Rich Habits.” Do you live by these criteria? What habits do you have? Need some one-on-one mentoring of your goals, brand strategy, or video presence? I’m interested in hearing from you. Reach your goals at SWMH monthly events utilizing invaluable insight from the Speaker Spotlight interview, marketing training, and building relationships in the mastermind session while solving your challenges.

Feel It….Look At It…..Learn From It and Let It Go So often times, my clients want a simple formula for working through their past. They come in and report that undesirable things have happened to them and they don't know how to let go of the anger and sadness that typically accompanies a loss. Perhaps this sounds like you. Have you been through a nasty divorce, the death of a loved one, or bankruptcy due to someone's financial irresponsibility? Maybe there's a family member that is estranged from you and these losses have really taken a toll on your psyche. When bad things happen to good people you have to increase your resiliency so that you don’t stay wounded from the trauma. The clients that I work with have asked for easy guidelines to help navigate them through the trauma and drama of life. When this occurs I typically teach them the following formula that is easy to remember and helps them to process the pain. Feel it. Look at it. Learn from it. And then let it go.
on you had nothing to do with you and in Carol Juergensen Sheets part you are right but invariably we are all 100% responsible for our behavior and there were likely some things that you could've done differently to avoid part of this pain. Maybe that required that you get out of denial and start listening to your gut that was telling you years ago something was wrong. Or maybe you resisted going to a counselor and getting marital help. After you look at it and assess it appropriately, you ask yourself what did I learn from it? When you do this, it takes you out of the “victim” state. This requires you to ask yourself two very important questions, what does this have to teach me? And what have I learned from it? When you ask yourself those questions, you take yourself out of the victims’ role and you put yourself in a place of empowerment. Once you understand what you have learned from the situation, you will likely never repeat it again. This means you will be more responsible with your finances or you'll pick a better partner or you will choose a better job.
The last thing you want to do is to let What I'm advocating for here is not a the pain go. You no longer want to be Pollyanna-ish approach. Spotlight
The story of HCG began in the Fifties when, after having done research on weight loss for 40 years and research on HCG specifically for twenty years, Dr. Simeons reported that patients taking small amounts of HCG, in conjunction with a very low calorie Kathryn Azhar, Owner diet, could lose weight safely and quickly and her staff without exercise, muscle loss or hunger. But all HCG is not created equal. The SuperVision Weight Loss program starts with pharmaceutical HCG. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of confusion created by products being sold without guidance that call themselves “HCG” but do not contain any in their ingredient list. HCG is one of 67 hormones naturally produced in the human body, so if a product states that it is hormone free, it's not HCG. HCG does not produce weight loss by itself. However, in concert with a very specific balanced diet, and our help in avoiding unexpected environmental or behavioral deviations, HCG will allow the body to naturally pull the nutrients and calories needed from stored fat reserves into the blood stream at the rate of 1500 to 4000 calories per day. We are sure that those who follow our protocol WILL lose 20-30 pounds in 40 days. These fantastic results ARE typical with our full service packages. SuperVision Weight Loss program is not your run of the mill “eat less and exercise more” diet for a slow loss of 1 to 2 pounds a week that seems to take the rest of your life. Our protocol tricks Mother Nature a little, maybe, however only natural processes are at work. Per Dr. Simeons, it is safe and so very effective.

Estate Planning and Assisted Reproduction Technology by Ann Schneider & Jennifer Hostetter Most people do not think these two fields of law relate, but they actually can be interconnected. And if you have ever gone through any type of assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedure or fertility treatment, it is very important to discuss this with your estate planning attorney. If you are in the process of going through a form of assisted reproductive technology, it may be wise to speak to an estate planning attorney now to prepare documents while you or your spouse are going through these procedures. When planning your estate, it is important to plan and discuss what you wish to happen to any stored sperm, eggs or embryos you may have. The laws governing assistive reproductive technology differ greatly from state to state. In addition, many states, including Indiana, have yet to address issues concerning the treatment of stored genetic material upon an individual’s death. Working with an estate planning attorney will allow you to create an estate plan which takes these matters into consideration. Your
estate planning documents can then include direction for what should be done with stored genetic materials upon your death. Additionally, if you are going through some type of surrogacy, you have the ability to make plans in the event something were to happen to you, your spouse or the surrogate. Fertility clinics across the nation have varying agreements and contracts that range from very basic to very thorough. The storage or final disposition of your stored genetic material may have been something you have already addressed with the fertility clinic. Your estate planning attorney should review any agreement you have signed with a fertility clinic to ensure that your estate planning documents will be effective at carrying out your wishes. If you are considering, are going through, or have already gone through some type of ART procedure, I encourage you to seek out an estate planning attorney. ART is a vastly growing area of the law and it is important to plan for the future.

Indiana Women in Need (I.W.I.N.) Foundation Gives Indiana Breast Cancer Patients the Strength to Endure It was a somber day in 1998 when Nancy Shepard’s best friend and nursing colleague, Ellen, informed Nancy that she had breast cancer. Being the extraordinary friend that she is, Nancy traveled through this life altering journey with her friend from the surgical room through her recovery from a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. As the anesthesiologist initiated the IV to Ellen, she slowly turned to Nancy and shed a small tear fearing the uncertainty of her future. It was then that Nancy made the commitment to help women with breast cancer. Nancy originally thought she would create a fundraiser and give the proceeds to an existing breast cancer program but the survivors thought otherwise. As one survivor said, “so much money goes to finding a cure, and although we want one, we need help now... while we are in treatment!” Nancy listened to their challenges hearing how the fatigue from treatment disrupts families and compromises a woman’s daily life. Spouses suddenly take on unfamiliar tasks of preparing meals for the family, cleaning the house, doing laundry, getting the children to/from school and maintaining bedtime rituals while still trying to work and provide financially for the family. Single women struggle to maintain daily work responsibilities, while at the same time care for themselves during a physically and emotionally draining time. As a result of hearing these women’s stories, Nancy saw the need to bring back the “neighbor next door” support system of the 1950’s. In researching existing programs Nancy learned there were no organizations that provided individualized support to a patient actively going through treatment. Nancy was inspired to start her own Foundation twelve years ago and launched the Indiana Women in Need (I.W.I.N.) Foundation dedicated to giving Indiana women the strength to endure breast cancer treatment by providing individualized services. To date, I.W.I.N. has
provided over 1 million dollars in services to their recipients and have served close to 450 women in 2014. This is 100+ more women than I.W.I.N. served last year. The youngest recipient is 19 and the oldest 93 years young. Many women are of low socioeconomic communities and often times I.W.I.N. Foundation is the only resource to provide assistance during their time of need. In 2004, I.W.I.N.’s signature fundraising event, the overnight Pink Pajama Party was launched. The funds raised at this annual event provide the grant funding needed to support the individualized services for patients throughout the year. The 11th annual Pink Pajama Party will be held February 20 & 21, 2015 at the Marriott Hotel located at Keystone at the Crossing. The evening features a night of pampering with local businesses donating spa and salon services to an estimated 325 attendees that include survivors, their family and friends. There is a delicious dinner with an expansive silent auction. The next morning includes an inspirational breakfast program in which a recipient will share her story and Nancy will share more about
the future of I.W.I.N. For details on the Pink Pajama Party, including how to donate an auction item, sponsorship opportunities, make a tax deductible donation or to host a third party fundraising event, contact the I.W.I.N. Foundation at 317-475-0565 or www.iwinfoundation.org.
