How Do I Know if I Need to Colonic? The answer is simple. Nancy Spahr of Cleansing Waters Wellness Center states, After consulting and conducting colonics with more than 3,500 clients, I can honestly say that I've never worked with an individual who didn't benefit from detoxifying the internal body. It can be compared to asking your auto mechanic if the oil in your car ever needs to be serviced and changed." The human body is one of the best detoxification machines in creation, but even the best machine can lose efficiency if it is overloaded. When we don't eliminate properly, wastes may not be expelled for days, weeks, months, or years. When we don't eliminate our waste - whether it's from toxins in the air, or from fatty, sugary processed foods; the toxins back up in the colon, which can cause autointoxication, or self poisoning. You may be experience gas, bloating, heartburn or 4

abdominal pain as a result. You can't be completely healthy if you're carrying a load of toxic substances in your body and colon. Toxic build-up in the body, particularly the bowels, is the root cause of many of today's chronic health problems. A complete internal cleansing program that includes colon hydrotherapy and also addresses the blood, tissues and cells, with emphasis on the five channels of elimination (bowel, lungs, skin, kidneys, lymph) almost always produces definite and positive results. The bonus is that once the gastrointestinal tract is cleansed, the digestive system is better able to absorb and assimilate all nutrients. Cleansing the colon and correcting digestive issues should be foundation for any nutritional and cleansing programs. In order for the digestive system to work optimally, the eliminative system must work optimally, as well.

The Division of Property The division of property is a key issue when a couple decides to divorce. Indiana is an equitable division state, which means the division must be fair but not necessarily equal. However, it is presumed that an equal division of the marital property is just and reasonable unless one of the parties is able to rebut the 50/50 presumption. Typically, all assets and debts, whether owned by one or both spouses, are considered part of the marital estate. This includes property owned or acquired by either spouse before or during the marriage or acquired through their joint efforts. In order to keep separate property, a couple should consider entering into a valid prenuptial agreement that classifies those items of property; the parties wish to keep separate in the event of a divorce. A court may consider separate property when dividing the estate, but without the pre-nuptial agreement, the court is not required to set the property aside as the separate property of one of the spouses. The court may consider the follow factors

in determining whether or not an equal distribution is appropriate: the contribution of each spouse to the acquisition of the property, regardless of whether the contribution was income producing; the extent to which the property was acquired by each spouse before marriage or through inheritance or gift; the economic circumstances of each spouse at the time of the disposition of the property, including the desirability of awarding the family residence or the right to dwell in the family residence for such periods as the Court considers just to a spouse having custody of any children; the conduct of the parties during the marriage as related to disposition or dissipation of their property; and the earnings ore earning ability of the parties related to a final division of property and final determination of property rights of the parties. It is especially important to discuss with an attorney or determine how the property should be valued and what, if any, tax consequences may result from the division of the marital estate.

Triple Board Certified Facial Plastic & Reconstructive

Fat Is Your Own Fountain of Youth Aging, weight loss, or other genetic factors can cause our faces and bodies to go through involutional change. Our eyes and cheeks can appear sunken in. We develop vertical lines around our mouth commonly mistaken for “smokers lines”. Our hands start looking boney and our buttocks flatten. All of these changes are a result of loss of fat. Autologous fat, which is your own fat, could hold the key to counteracting these changes. Fat cells are naturally rich in stem cells. They can regenerate and restore lost volume anywhere on the face and body. In cosmetic terms, it’s means transferring fat to improve facial and body contouring. The process involves reshaping less desirable body areas, by removing fat from where it is excessive, and moving to areas that are deficient. Fat is an excellent source of natural growth factors that can restore both volume under the skin and improve skin quality. Many of my patients have benefited from different types of Autologous Fat Transfers. I perform one or two each week. The most common procedures I perform are fat injections to the face to restore lost volume for patients

who have a “sunken in” appearance. Additionally many patients have lines around the month and prefer having their own fat injected instead of synthetic fillers. Fat transfer to hands have become more and more popular and help patients who have “boney” looking hands. A Brazilian buttock lift helps restore lost volume to the buttocks using fat to add back volume. Autologous fat transfer is safe, natural and non-allergenic. Your body accepts your own cells. Autologous fat transfer is performed with a safe and effective method to remove fat, then, re-inject it anywhere you are experiencing lost volume. Unlike synthetic fillers, fat transfer is long lasting. Unlike implants, fat is your own tissue. It’s safe and natural. The transplanted fat cells develop their own blood supply and will remain their new location.

Greg Chernoff, M.D., is a Triple Board Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with over 25-years of experience. Dr. Chernoff has performed thousands of fat transfer procedures with excellent results. The Success of Dating Why is it that some of the toughest areas in life are experienced in the form of trialand-error? Dating is one of those areas in which there is little formal training. When I work with singles that are going through the process of dating, I believe that reading books, going to workshops and classes, and talking to others are ways to obtain dating life skills. Most people come in with a fear of dating. They make comments like, “I don’t even want to think about dating” or “I hate dating” or “The thought of dating is so scary”. Many times they are afraid that they won’t be good enough or they fear rejection. If you have good self-esteem and don’t fall into this category, the opposite might be true. This would be, “I don’t want to go through the process of meeting men or women who aren’t like me or aren’t who they claim to be”. If you see yourself in either of these scenarios, look at dating as an opportunity to gain more life experience. Stay positive in order to get the most out of it.

GO SLOW

The most important skill to remember is to go slow. Dating requires getting to know each other, and the slower you go, the more successful you will be. If you have great chemistry, you might be tempted to see each other too much, talk to each other daily, or share activities that are too personal too soon (e.g. having sex). If you take your time you will make fewer mistakes. Just remember, a new date is not necessarily your best friend. Don’t get too emotionally intimate. It’s important to pace yourself!

STAY IN THE PRESENT

Although dating is a mechanism for finding a life partner, you will have more success if you focus on staying in the present. Your mission should be to have fun, not to find a life partner. If and when the relationship moves

into exclusivity, you will have a good foundation for that relationship.

TEACH YOUR DATE HOW YOU WANT TO BE TREATED

Carol Juergensen Sheets Know your boundaries. How much do you want to contribute to the relationship? I know women who say they want to be pampered, and then by the second date they are cooking dinner and doing lots of maternal tasks. Stop that! If you do that in the beginning of the relationship, you are bound to that lifestyle forever.

GET OUT AND MINGLE WITH LIKE MINDED PEOPLE

Believe it or not, dating is a numbers game. So find like minded people and spend time doing things that you enjoy doing. When you have fun, you are much more likely to send out positive messages that you would be a fun companion. If you like to hike, join a hiking club. If you love activities, sign up for MeetUp.com and meet men and women who want to play euchre or go to Indians Games or hang out at The Chatterbox. .You won’t meet anyone sitting on your couch so put yourself out there and and have fun!

SMILE AND MAKE EYE CONTACT

Men will notice you if you are noticing them so don’t play shy…. smile and let him know that he has caught your eye. I guarantee if you follow these five steps you will have a winning formula for having healthier relationships and more enjoyable dates!

Remember have fun with it and enjoy the adventure!

10 Ways to Boost Your Exercise Motivation You know exercise is good for you. Doing it, though, is another thing. To stick with an exercise routine, you need to get out there when that little voice inside you says, "I'll do that tomorrow. Or the day after -- maybe." Motivation does that, and it's not about just powering through. That doesn’t work. These 7 suggestions do 1. Track Your Progress and Short Term Goals: First write down your fitness goals in a journal or online app. Then break those goals in half! Goals broken down into 2-3 milestones is crucial to success. Next chart your workouts. Seeing improvements, whether running faster, doing more reps, or working out more often, makes you want to keep going. 2. Focus Only On Yourself: There will always be someone fitter, faster, or more flexible than you. Don’t compare yourself to them. Do not let them deter you from your goal. Your workout time is for you, and about you.

with a friend that makes you laugh. Then when major milestones are achieved, treat yourself to a larger rewards like a new outfit, a massage, new tunes, or a movie, whatever you enjoy. 7. Get a Cheering Squad: Find professionals like a coach, or personal trainer or other people like friends, co-workers or neighbors, who will encourage you to stay on track. Get help! However, if helpful reassurance turns into criticism, gently remind your pal that you don’t need nagging. Your support system should be in support of you, but not say, 'Why can’t you? It’s so easy”

Coach Roz Harris, the Thinner For Life Expert and creator of the Fit Chicks! program in Fishers, IN. To request a complimentary coaching call go to www.coachrozharris.com/ scheduleacall

3. Delete Guilt: Get real. You're going to miss a day or two. If you accept that there will be some side steps on your fitness journey, you’ll be better prepared mentally to deal with setbacks. Don’t let a misstep be an excuse for giving up. 4. Make It Convenient: When you're busy, don't spend 30 minutes driving to a gym or too much time navigating big parking lots big box gyms. Use small gyms or online exercise videos instead. 5. Forget the Past: So maybe you weren’t the most athletic kid in high school and were the last chosen for class games. That was years ago. Your goal now is not to win a letter jacket or make the cheerleading squad. You want to exercise to stay healthy and enjoy your life. 6. Reward Yourself: Treat yourself for working out. Choose micro rewards that comfort you like take a bubble bath, watch the sunset, or take a short break Please say “I found it in Indy Metro Woman Magazine!” Thanks!

Experiencing symptoms “down there” but too embarrassed to ask? We Got You Covered! Are you afraid to sneeze or cough for fear of leaking urine? Do you experience painful intercourse? Have you had pain in your vaginal, pelvis or abdomen area for a number of years without relief? Believe me, you are not alone! It is estimated 1 in 3 women experience these symptoms, referred to as pelvic floor dysfunction. The pelvic floor is the group of muscles that you feel tightening when you hold back gas or urine, also known as the infamous “kegel.” Just like any other muscle in the body that can experience pain or weakness, the pelvic floor muscles are wired the same way. Dysfunction can result from a number of things including pregnancy and delivery, bladder dysfunctions including interstitial cystitis, recovery from cancer treatments, muscle imbalances and even chronic constipation. Incontinence tends to be thought of as an “old person’s problem.” This is so not true! Women all ages, including young female athletes, experience urinary leakage. While it is considered common, it should never be acceptable! Urinary leakage is a sign that our pelvic floor and core muscles are not working as cohesively as they should. In fact, it is reported up to 78% of low back pain sufferers also experience urinary leakage. Learning how to engage our “pelvic brace” muscles correctly during exercises, including activities such as lifting our kids and working out at the 20

gym, can both improve back pain while eliminating incontinence. Pelvic pain is another dysfunction that can affect both men and women. Pelvic pain can originate from pelvic trauma itself, prolonged sitting as with bicycle riding, surgery, or referred pain from painful bladder syndromes. Pain can be felt in the groin, abdomen, vagina, hips, low back, tail bone and buttocks region. Many chronic pelvic pain sufferers will see a number of different health care professionals, including physicians, to get answers and seek relief. They can be given different treatments that are not effective, and tend to suffer months if not years with their symptoms. Treating the musculoskeletal component of their symptoms, which in some cases involve treating the internal or vaginal muscles with a specialized women’s health Physical Therapist, can give relief if not eliminate their pain completely. As a women’s health Physical Therapist myself I find treating this clientele very rewarding! If you feel any of these services could help you please call me for a free phone consultation. In Indiana you do not need a doctor’s prescription to be seen initially by a physical therapist for an evaluation. Please call me at 317-689-0073 or visit my website at IndyWomenPT.com for more information. I look forward to hearing from you!

Nearly 1 in 5 women and 1 in 33 men in the United States experience sexual violence, but in a culture where victims are often blamed for what happened to them, nearly 68% of sexual assaults go unreported and many victims do not seek help. The aftermaths of these crimes can range anywhere from posttraumatic stress disorder to substance abuse. Sexual Assault Victim Advocates with Families First are professionally trained to support victims who have experienced sexual violence at any point in their lifetimes. Advocates can assist victims through the criminal justice process, if they choose to report, and are committed to helping victims plan for their continued safety. Advocates can help in filing protective orders and can provide emotional support at court hearings. Advocates have knowledge of many resources in the community that may be helpful – many of which victims

26

might not even know about. We can act as a liaison between victims and organizations to gather information about ways these organizations may be able to help. Families First offers individual therapy that focuses on sexual trauma as well as support groups. Support groups serve as a place where individuals can come together and provide each other with encouragement and comfort. Therapy and support groups are offered to anyone who has experienced sexual violence at any point in their lifetimes and are both confidential and free of charge. Healing from sexual violence can be a long and emotionally draining process. If you or someone you know has questions or needs guidance, please feel free to contact one of our advocates by calling (317) 644-7986 for more information.

The HCG Story... The story of HCG began in the Fifties when, after having done research on weight loss for 40 years and research on HCG specifically for twenty years, Dr. Simeons reported that patients taking small amounts of HCG, in conjunction Kathryn Azhar, Owner with a very low calorie and her staff diet, could lose weight safely and quickly without exercise, muscle loss or hunger. But all HCG is not created equal. The SuperVision Weight Loss program starts with pharmaceutical HCG. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of confusion created by products being sold without guidance that call themselves “HCG” but do not contain any in their ingredient list. HCG is one of 67 hormones naturally produced in the human body, so if a product states that it is hormone free, it's not HCG.

Before

After

Cindy's Story

For years, I've had trouble losing the excess weight that I put on. I've tried several plans and fad diets, only to put the weight back on. I came to Super Vision Weight Loss when my doctor told me that I was pre-diabetic. I found the program easy to follow. i was glad to have the support of the staff through the entire transition. I am so happy with my results and my new lease on life.

Gary's Story

My doctor was on my case about my blood pressure, and I know that the extra weight I was carrying wasn’t helping that situation. My knees hurt and I just wanted to feel better. I gave Super Vision Weight Loss a chance to help me get the weight off. They were really great!! I lost 38 lbs. in 31 days! My girlfriend is thrilled. I travel for a living and I was able to stay true to the diet protocol even on the road. I’m so glad I did this diet with Super Vision Weight Loss. I feel YEARS younger and I know I’ll never have that belly again.

HCG does not produce weight loss by itself. However, in concert with a very specific balanced diet, and our help in avoiding unexpected environmental or behavioral deviations, HCG will allow the body to naturally pull the nutrients and calories needed from stored fat reserves into the blood stream at the rate of 1500 to 4000 calories per day. We are sure that those who follow our protocol WILL lose 20-30 pounds in 40 days. These fantastic results ARE typical with our full service packages. SuperVision Weight Loss program is not your run of the mill “eat less and exercise more” diet for a slow loss of 1 to 2 pounds a week that seems to take the rest of your life. Our protocol tricks Mother Nature a little, maybe, however only natural processes are at work. Per Dr. Simeons, it is safe and so very effective.
