Typography for Print Holly Nation S2951455 Tuesday 10am-12pm
Development of Typeface Typewriter was the font I was going to use at the beginning. I wanted it to look old and have the stamp affect of ink running. My idea to modify the typeface was to flatten out the curves at the bottom of the serifs, slice it or double expose the letters.
It wasn't going to look good as a title text so I decided to go with Century Schoolbook as it still has that old looking affect. I played with the typeface in InDesign. Making it look chunky which didn’t look good.
Development of Typeface
I looked at the normal Century C and tried adding patterns which didn’t count as a modification so I added lines around the typeface. I played with the anchor points around the serifs deleting points to make the edges look sharper.

I also added a face to the typeface to make the letter look like hair.
Decided Modifica4on
My final modification that I decided to go with was round the serifs to give a soft looking approach. I named it Century shores because of the soft edges.
