8-bitt y by Luke Morgan In terms of product design, 2013 will be bold, bright and a little gory for 8-bitty creator Luke Morgan. A local graphic designer and artist, Luke grew up in the 80s and 90s with Stormtroopers, Battlecat, Ninja Turtles, Batman, Indiana Jones, Soundwave, Sub-zero and of course video games. Drawing on these well rounded influences, he designs and produces radical video game clothing which essentially chews up cool stuff from the 80s and 90s and spits them out as giant pixels onto t-shirts.

the who, the what & the why . . the market is a boutique art + design event, showcasing independent Tasmanian designers, makers and producers. It is held six times a year in the intriguing Masonic Temple, Hobart. Alongside co-curating the market, Holly & Shannon both run successful small businesses of their own and bring to the market their skills in graphic design, journalism, advertising, creative writing and marketing.
