The Delta Generators
SATURDAY JULY 1
Winning awards and playing to sold-out shows across New England and beyond, the Boston-based Delta Generators have made quite a name for themselves since hitting the scene in 2008. Their music brings together their diverse musical influences, drawing on the traditions of Blues, Roots, R&B, Americana and Rock to create a sound uniquely their own.
The Love Dogs
FRIDAY JULY 7
Take one red-hot horn section—we’re talkin’ alto, tenor, baritone saxes and trombone - down and dirty. Add liberal amounts of barrelhouse boogie-woogie piano and stinging Fender guitar. Pour over a funky and swinging rhythm section that Blues Review magazine called “the best in the business”, and top it all off with a crazy and charismatic front man with one of the biggest blues voices around.
The Honey Bees
SATURDAY JULY 8
Sponsored by Milford Cultural Council
Zach Innis and the Honeybees are back on stage in the HCA amphitheater this summer. Get ready for a solid set of the best of Tom Petty: Mudcrutch, The Heartbreakers and Traveling Wilburys. Zach and the “bees” are local favorites and always bring a fantastic show!
Tickets are available on a pay-what-you-can basis at www.HopArtsCenter.org
Concerts are held in our outdoor amphitheater and will move inside in the event of rain. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a night of amazing music.
Wine, beer, and soft drinks will be available for purchase at the event.
Willie J Laws
FRIDAY JULY 14
Sponsored by Holliston Cultural Council
The Willie J Laws Band is one of the most notable Blues acts with a modern funky style that’s uniquely its own. The band’s sound includes deep Texas roots music, add some funk, and jazz influenced bass patterns, and the influence of various Afro-Caribbean drum beats, a genre-bending sound tempered with a groove from Motown, Memphis, Muscle Shoals, the Gulf Coast of Texas, and New Orleans.
The Racky Thomas Band
SATURDAY JULY 15
One of the coolest guys this side of the Mason-Dixon, Racky Thomas lives and breathes the blues. The Racky Thomas Band hails from Boston, Massachusetts but plays the blues as though they came right out of postwar Chicago or the Mississippi delta. A collection of harddrivin customers who dig deep into the heart of their music and get into your soul.
Erin Harpe & The Delta Swingers
FRIDAY JULY 21
Erin Harpe has been called “one of the most dynamic, talented and exciting roots rocking blues women on the scene” by Living Blues Magazine. The singer, guitarist, songwriter, producer, and leader of the Boston Music Award-winning band, Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers, was named New England’s “Blues Artist of the Year” in 2019.
The Chris Fitz Band
SATURDAY JULY 22
The Chris Fitz Band is a hot pot of blues jambalaya, mixing swing, jump, Chicago and Texas blues styles with a healthy dose of funk, soul, rock-n-roll, and a touch of British blues rock (think Eric Clapton with the Blues Breakers and Cream). This power trio has a spicy sound all their own!
Tony Soul Project
FRIDAY JULY 28
Sponsored by Ashland Cultural Council
What is the Tony Soul Project? It is a unique blend of stylistic musicians from diverse backgrounds, melded together to provide Soul Music, yes Soul Music. It is a well tuned dance band. Perhaps the best you will ever see. The Tony Soul Project plays dance music covering rock & roll, soul music (Motown) and blues.
Walk That Walk
SATURDAY JULY 29
Sponsored by Southborough Cultural Council
As one of the premier bands on the impressive Boston blues scene, Walk That Walk is an east-coast phenomenon, but its midwestern roots run deep. The group’s material and fiery performances are born of the fertile sounds of Detroit and Chicago, where the electric blues was forged in the 1950s.
