DINNER PARTIES Our Dinner Parties are twice a month on a Wednesday night at 7:30pm and not just for those in Sheffield but for the whole region of South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. They are for all ages and for whatever life group you represent from singles and young families to empty-nesters as well as youth. Everyone is included!
Food was a big part of Jesus’ life and it’s a big part of our journey to belonging. Even when He was about to leave the earth, He had a last supper with His disciples! Food relaxes you a lot; and we want you to feel like you can relax, find space to be you, allow others to really get to know you and have confidence to express yourself freely. If you don’t

At Hope City Church we have people attending our services from the Dinnington, Worksop and Thurcroft areas, so our Dinnington Dinner Party is perfect for those living in that region. Phil and Maggie are both much-loved gems in the life of the church who completely love to help people on their journey.

Our Aston Dinner Party is led by James and Charlene Dacre. They recently returned to the UK after spending four years at Hope City KL. This couple love to connect with new people and would make you feel more than welcome when you arrive.
This Dinner Party meets in the Press Coffee area of the Megacentre and is led by two fabulous women, Jo and Caz. This is for both parents and their children, providing space for the kids to play in the play area while the parents spend time together. This Dinner Party meets earlier than most to enable children to get home for bedtime.

HACKENTHORPE DINNER PARTY GRAHAM & MARIA SMYTH Our Hackenthorpe Dinner Party is led by Graham and Maria. They have been an integral part of the church and Pastoral Care team for the past 15 years. This Dinner Party is one of our family Dinner Parties where both parents and kids attend. Due to this, the Dinner Party meets at a slightly earlier time so the kids can still get home for bedtime.

The Handsworth Dinner Party is led by Cheryl and Silvia and is a Dinner Party for those in our ‘We Are Woman’ life stage. It’s a warm, friendly, encouraging environment which is perfectly complimented by Cheryl’s superb cooking skills. It has an excellent mix of people from different backgrounds and ages all coming together. Dilly and Ngozi serve as part of our Sunday Connections team and are passionate about helping people connect into the life of the church.
The I Said Yes DP is an opportunity for people who have recently made the decision to become a follower of Jesus. This group is led by Claire Parkinson who is also our Connections Pastor. This Dinner Party is designed to help you grow in your new found faith.

Our Rother Valley Dinner Party is led by Andy and Karen. They have both been involved in Hope City Church for over 20 years and were pastors in our Hope City Accra location in Ghana, for seven years until returning to the UK in 2017. Both are now on the Sheffield Core team and Andy also heads up our Men’s ministry programme.
Leading our Shiregreen Dinner Party are Sal and Christine. They have both been part of Hope City Church now for six years after moving up to Sheffield from London. This Dinner Party was launched Summer 2018 and has soon gathered up pace in seeing people connect and grow together.
Based in Rotherham, just off of the M18, this Dinner Party is perfect for anyone living in the Rotherham or Doncaster region. Karl is on staff at Hope City Church and Jeanette helps to oversee our ‘We Are Woman’ ministry.

The Swallownest Dinner Party is led by Stuart and Gemma. It is a mix of seasoned Hope City attendees and new people alike. Stuart moved to Sheffield from Hope City Liverpool, and Gemma moved up from Southend. Both of them love to enjoy life and have a laugh so expect many LOLs when you attend.
As a church we have a growing number of people attending from the Stocksbridge, Barnsley, Wombwell and Wath areas of South Yorkshire; and this Dinner Party is a perfect centralised location for people living in these areas. This Dinner Party is led by Gavin who is part of the Sheffield Core team.

Not far from our Sunnyside Dinner Party, we also have our Wickersley Dinner Party. This party has people from Rotherham, Maltby and Eastwood areas attending. Chris and Mandy have been a core part of the church since 2014. Chris is often on the sound desk helping the services run smoothly, while Mandy is a key member of our MegaNursery team.
Our Aughton Dinner Party is co-led by Dan and Julia Houghton and Miran and Liz Muthiah. All four of these leaders have been part of Hope City Church for a number of years now and all have a heart for seeing people connecting together to flourish.
Our Aston Dinner Party meets in the home of Dario and Catherine Lanera, an amazing couple who have been a core part of Hope City Church since 2012. If you are looking for a fun Dinner Party to join then you won’t go wrong giving this one a go.

This Dinner Party was recently launched as our other Hillsborough Dinner Party was getting packed as more and more people wanted to attend. It’s obviously a popular part of the city and a great group of people to know. Martin & Gail have attended Hope City for many years and are also on our New Peoples team.

NEON YOUTH CREWS Neon You meets every Friday night from 6:30pm-9:30pm at the lower entrance of the Megacentre. Led by our Youth Pastor, Sorcha Rooney, we have a mix of Neon Stadium Nights, Neon Socials and Neon Crews Nights. Neon Crews are a chance for everyone to gather within their year groups to create friendships, have great discussions and a whole lot of fun!
