2021 SUMMER PROGRAM TEACHING FELLOWS
OUR MISSION Pathfinder provides a four-year, tuition-free program of comprehensive, rigorous academic preparation and high school admissions counseling to high potential middle school students from New Haven public and parochial schools. Pathfinder is also a pre-service teacher education program that prepares talented high school graduates and college students to pursue teaching careers.

LONG-TERM OUTCOMES: COLLEGE MATRICULATION & COMPLETION The academic mindset of our students persists after graduating from Pathfinder and into adulthood. Of our over 220 alumni who completed our program and graduated from high school since 2013,

HIGH SCHOOL ADMISSIONS 2009-2021 $13 million in high school scholarships has been awarded to our program graduates since the inception of the High School Admission Counseling Program.

ALUMNI NEWS Isaac Bloodworth PF ‘13, a graduate of the University of Connecticut puppetry program, helped found Nu Spiral, a collective of anti-racist anti-bias artists. He has also been commissioned to complete two public murals in New Haven, including one of Coretta Scott King.
Z Cordero PF ‘14, an alum of Hopkins School, a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the Columbia University School of Social Work, began practicing as a psychotherapist in New York City. Tiana Dyson PF ‘15, a graduate of Howard University and former Miss Connecticut Outstanding Teen (2013), began her career as a cheerleader for the New England Patriots. Isaiah Edwards PF ‘17, a graduate of the University of Connecticut, was the lead curator and creative partner for the second annual Black Film Festival, hosted in the Dixwell neighborhood of New Haven. Alfredo Maldonado PF ‘14, a graduate of the University of Hartford, began working in Yale’s Cancer Research Support Laboratory. Jocelyn Mendez PF ‘14, a graduate of American University and the University of Delaware Law School, was admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania. Matthew Spence PF ‘16, an alumnus of Hopkins School and graduate of Harvard University, matriculated to the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Madison T. PF ‘21, an alumna of Lauralton Hall, matriculated to Trinity College and will be studying organ performance with world renowned organist Christopher Houlihan.
