Ho c rse s ros Ar ts

Welcome...

to summertime at Perth Concert Hall and Perth Theatre, where we are looking forward to serving up a host of festivals and high-calibre events across the performing arts as well as a range of inspirational creative opportunities for all ages to join in. Our plans for transforming Perth’s historic theatre received their biggest boost to date this season when our project partners Perth & Kinross Council voted to provide up to £4.424 million in additional funds, if necessary, to give the Transform Perth Theatre project the green light. This huge boost brings the Council’s potential contribution to nearly £7.5m and means that construction can start next year! While a new theatre for Perth is now secured, your support will be invaluable in ensuring that we can open this revitalised landmark cultural venue with the best possible facilities for our artists, audiences and creative learning participants. Visit www.transformperththeatre.co.uk to find out more about the project and how you can get involved.

Named America’s Best Songwriter by Time magazine, Lucinda Williams has won three Grammy Awards and established a reputation as a consistently fascinating artist. Having headlined Southern Fried in 2009, we’re delighted to welcome her back for a stripped-down duo performance which should prove the perfect showcase for her unique voice, painfully honest writing and totally individual blend of country, blues and rock.

KIDS + FAMILIES

A Horsecross Arts production

Written by Alan McHugh Directed by Rachel O’Riordan

Ugly sisters have all the fun. They’ve pulled on their fancy clothes and gone to the royal party, but poor Cinderella must stay behind in her rags to tidy up after them! Her heart may be pure and true, but will Cinders ever dance at a ball? Will she meet her handsome prince and live happily ever after? Will she even some decent shoes? One thing is for sure, she is going to need more than a Fairy Godmother to help her. So please warm up your singing voices, break out your boos and cheers and join Cinderella and friends in Perth’s beautiful theatre for a magical festive treat. Brought to you by the same team who created last year’s acclaimed and fun-filled Mother Goose and packed with great songs, amazing dance routines and plenty of laughter, this enchanting ‘rags-to-riches’ tale, officially the nation’s favourite panto, is the perfect Christmas treat for all the family.
