The Captain's Collection tells the story of Highland composer Captain Simon Fraser as he is transported back through his turbulent existence, visited by the ghosts and dreams dwelling within the pages of his collection of Jacobite music and song. The international award-winning Dogstar Theatre Company returns to its roots with this revival of one of its earliest productions, a potent blend of history, drama, music and humour. It features four celebrated performers including the sublime singing of Alyth McCormack, 2009 Scottish Critics' Best Actor Matthew Zajac, and the playing of two of Scotland's finest traditional musicians. “An engrossing treat… fascinating and provocative music theatre pulling together history, storytelling, cultural politics… and some hilarious madcap humour.” The Scotsman

Back in the 1930's and 40's, a cinemagoers passport to fantasy was simply the price of a ticket, but for the people who provided these fantasies, there was no escape. Never-Never Land was their home, and dreams were their reality. At the tender age of thirteen, Judy Garland was admitted to this makebelieve world and almost immediately fell victim to its fairy-tale values. This is her story.
