To prepare for the “Multilingual Students and the Communication of Skills� seminar, I kindly request your participation in a grammar instruction contest for a grammar rule that poses a challenge to multilingual writers. The tutor/coordinator that submits the most lucid explanation of the grammar concept will have the opportunity to present a mini-lesson during the seminar. The example is written below:
The seeds I planted them last fall. How would you help a student, whose native language is not English, correct the aforementioned statement? What grammar lessons would need to be included in your explanation? What writing terminology would you need to teach the student to revise?
