aboutUs by Hotspotorlando
Once Again lives wasted away, terror, fear, unjustified violence that doesn’t belong to our expectations. We keep trying to solve problems that have no solution like human rage. I personally think that someone with a very high level of family values, and also religious, is not able to such crimes, but then again, we can write this in stone, can we? There is no doubt that people that inflict pain, and horror, but hide are cowards, they do not fear God, they have nothing to loose. I have seen a lot lately, priests that have no shame, Pastors that lost their way, innocents dying, unjustified rage, and still a lot of personal deceptions in the personal level, but I can’t understand this. Darkness, crime, disrespect to the holy. Life is a precious gift, must be respected. It is priceless, life is the vessel of our soul that belongs to God, should be always put above all. I have seen it all lately, but what I really want to see is Justice, and to all watching every crime committed against humanity, I would like to ask for a prayer to all, to the criminal, the victims and to the authorities. They need to find a way to put an end to all this. Tonight, hold your children, your family, your animals your loved ones, call the ones far, make sure you have a chance to express your love for them. We never know what brings tomorrow. Have a great month!

Editorial A few months ago I spoke about wasting lives, a shameful accident in Brazil when a night Club went on fire, a random shooting killing kids in a school in the USA, and now the bombing in Houston.

Jay Mark Johnson Il Mercado A Sinistra Artist Jay Mark Johnson produces photographic images that challenge the norms of perception. Jay Mark Johnson’s photographs may look like photoshop experiments, but they are images taken straight from a slit camera used for capturing vast landscapes. The camera captures light through a small slit in its rotating head, effectively exposing the image slowly from one side to the other. With still landscapes this registers as a normal image, but in Johnson’s work which feature moving subjects, the unique result captures both space and time. Because he has rigged the camera to move at nearly the same speed as his moving subjects, they are recorded as still and recognizable images in a moving background of streaked color. In these images we are not simply seeing left to right, but in fact left is the past and right is the

Misunderstanding Focus Nerhol’s latest work, “Misunderstanding Focus”, consists of multiple ‘conversions.’ Generally speaking, a portrait renders a three-dimensional face onto a flat plane. However, Nerhol, the Japanese creative duo of Yoshihisa Tanaka and Ryuta Iida, makes portraits more complex through multiple conversions. Simply put, these artists undertake at least three processing steps: after converting a three-dimensional face into a two-dimensional portrait, they translate the latter into a three-dimensional sculpture, which in turn is made into a two-dimensional portrait. ORLANDO SCIENCE CENTER Star Wars速: Where Science Meets Imagination Developed by the Museum of Science, Boston in collaboration with Lucasfilm Ltd., Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination is a 10,000 square-foot exhibit that explores the fantasy technologies depicted in the Star Wars films, the real science behind them, and the current research that may someday lead to remarkable real-life versions of the technologies seen in the film series. With support from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and presented by Bose Corporation, Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination is the first exhibition to display costumes and props from all six Star Wars films with real-world technologies. The exhibit includes extensive video interviews with filmmakers, scientists and engineers; and hands-on components, including two large Engineering Design Labs, where visitors can build and test their own speeders and robots. As you enter the exhibit it is as you are entering the movie set, with original props of spaceships, weapons and all the amazing artifacts, gadgets and beautiful masks and wardrobe, meticulously created for one of the best movie series ever created. Star Wars defined an entire generation, not only because of the special effects but a whole philosophy that was absorbed by all that followed the movie and waited impatiently for each sequel to come out. This exhibit is a trail of fiction that took science to the next level, an array of inventions that seemed impossible, and today are a reality, based in the artifacts seen in science fiction movies. The Orlando Science Center had this exhibit until April 7th and was visited by thousands of fans and children during spring break.

The Rebel Alliance-The X-Wing Star Fighter The X-wing is a versatile Rebel Alliance starfighter that balances speed with firepower. Armed with four laser cannons and two proton torpedo launchers, the X-wing can take on anything the Empire throws at it.
The Y-wing is a workhorse starfighter has been in use since the Clone Wars. Used for dogfights and for bombing runs against capital ships and ground targets, Y-wings are often overshadowed by newer models such as the X-wing and the A-wing.
Nimble engines give the X-wing an edge during dogfights, and it can make long-range jumps with its hyperdrive and its astromech droid co-pilot. Luke Skywalker is famous for destroying the Death Star behind the controls of an X-wing.
But the Y-wing's historical importance is remarkable, and it has reliably served multiple generations of star pilots. Both ships inspired in Aircrafts of the 20th Century-II World War.

Luiz Torres Bayon - Bayon Sculpture is an art that represents plastic images in full or partial. Various techniques exist from working materials such as cinzelação, casting, molding or particle agglomeration to create an object. Various materials lend themselves to this art, some more permanent as bronze or marble, other easier to work as clay, wax or wood. Although they can be used to represent anything, or even nothing, traditionally the main goal was always to represent the human body, or the divinity in anthropomorphic form. Sculpture is considered the fourth of the classical arts. Through most of history, remained the works of artists who have used the most permanent and durable as possible such as stones (marble, limestone, granite) or metals (bronze, gold, silver). Sometimes they used techniques to improve the durability of certain materials (clay, terracotta) or employing the organic source materials noblest possible (durable woods like ebony, rosewood, materials like ivory or amber). But in general, although one can carve almost anything that can keep for at least a few hours to idealized form (butter, ice, wax, plaster, wet sand), these ephemeral works can not be appreciated by an audience that is not coeval. Here in Brazil we have the privilege of having a fantastic sculptor of great talent and sensitivity Bayón Luiz Torres. better known as Bayon, we would like you to meet your talent and a bit of his success story. The fascination for stone carving happened a few years later when she meets the Swiss sculptor Rinaldo Willi who also started in the art. Attended classes at Barcelona's Spanish sculptor Mariano Andres Vilella. Feeling the need to delve into the art of stone carving, came to know in St. Paul sculptor Alvaro Franklin and attended his course for three years. A guitar professional
By Charles Portela A Guitar Professional I spoke with Luiz Silva Jr., great instrumentalist and guitar teacher ! He is still very young, with only 27 years of age, and took his time to tell me a bit of his story, in a short conversation: Since when do you play guitar and what is your Musical influence? -I play guitar since I was 9 years old and my biggest influences were my father Luiz Silva, and other guitarists like Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons, Frank Gambale. I always had an open mind to all musical styles. What are your experiences as a musician and what is your current project? -I had many experiences in the field, both good and bad, but nothing that will make me quit. My passion for music is greater than anything! I had very good experiences playing with certain artists that I admire, which influenced me musically such as, Andre Valadão David Sacer and his wife Veronica Sacer, Nani Azevedo, Soraya Moraes, group blessed Beyond the Veil etc ... I also developed a great friendship with Gospel artists such as Fernadinho, PG and his wonderful band. -I always keep in contact with everyone. My current project is my solo CD, which is very time consuming not only for lack of time , but also for technical problems with my computer . I’ve been working in a partnership with Master Quality Studios in Orlando, where my friend Hector is the sound engineer. We have recently concluded a project where I recorded the guitar finals for an artist named Michael Estrada that is now working on his first CD.
Very good musical arrangements on the part of my friend Hector and anointed lyrics of Michael. Luiz what is your opinion: Being a musician is a matter of natural aptitude or acquired? -I believe that God enables all of us with different skills to praise etc. But there are people, who have a natural tendency to Music and rhythm they are naturals, making them not just music lovers but extraordinary musicians. Whenever I talk to my students, it is not just about having talent, but talent has to be accompanied by Passion for the instrument and the will to play. Without passion or study an uneducated talent is unfortunately buried. Luiz Silva Jr opened a company that aims to develop musicians to the Ministry. It is called LSJ Flame Guitar Works, which also makes productions, arrangements, schedules, guitar classes, guitars and bass classes, instruments repairs and also customizing of instruments for special applications (custom guitars).
Hello friends, This week I wanted to write an interesting subject, and looking inside my roots, I thought about several issues, frevo, maracatu, Bumbameu-boi, all subjects very interesting in my opinion, but I opted for Cordel Literature, a form of writing very popular in the North and Northeast of Brazil. What is Cordel Literature ? Cordel literature is also known in Brazil as a brochure, and as a popular literary genre often written in rhyming form, originated in verbal form and then printed on leaflets. Dates back to the sixteenth century, when the Renaissance popularized the impression reports, and kept it on literary form, very popular in Brazil.
lio Vargas (1883-1954) are some ofTwine subjects who had the highest circulation in the past. There is no limit to the creation of themes of the leaflets. Virtually any subject can turn the attention of a poet. In Brazil the string literature is a typical production from the Northeast, especially in the states of Pernambuco (where I was born, and I'm very proud of it), the Paraiba and Ceara .
It used to be sold in markets and fairs, where I could buy some rigt off the hands of its authors some time ago, when my trip to Aracaju, a thriving town in the Northeast Brazil, where I still have some friends. The Cordel today is sold at cultural fairs, culture houses and bookstores!! "The poetry of Cordel is one of the purest manifestations of inventive spirit, the sense of humor and critical capacity of the Brazilian people, in their modest interior layers " The name comes from the traditional way the “Carlos Drummond de Andrade “ leaflets were displayed for sale, hanging from ropes, cords or string in Portugal. Some poems are illustrated with woodcuts, also used in the covers . The cordelistas recite these verses so melodious and lilting, accompanied by viola as also do readings or declamations very excited and excited to win thepossible buyers. In 1988, was founded in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian Academy of Cordel Literature. The themes are a variety of everyday, historical episodes, legends, and Religious themes among many others. The exploits of the bandit Lampião(which my father Chief of Police Zacharias was highlighted several times, and potrait in the cover. Scotland Yard.
What's good Orlando? This month I'am very excited to talk about the latest release from South Coast Recording artist "Some Kosher Yuppy" This is Yuppy's sophomore EP and it's titled "The Rebel's Reason". This EP really came from the heart and it captures the life of a kid in his early 20's that feels like a rebel in this mechanical world of robots. From beginning to end, you will be entertained with excellent production and most importantly meaningful lyrics. Some Kosher Yuppy is quickly gaining a local buzz and is one of Orlando's newest yet brightest artist. Yuppy believes that every one should give their all to their hidden talent because at the end of the day, we were put here to chase our passions not regret why we didn't. Born in Louisville Ky, Yuppy moved to Orlando at age 9 to stay with his father. Every since middle school, Yuppy has had the same circle of friends that to this day still hang out with each other almost daily. These child hood friends make up the group G.M.A.T.T. "Give my all to talent" or "Get money all the time" Yuppy is the only M.C. in the crew but they all have a role. I always tell young artist how important it is to have a team in place that have responsibilities not just friends hanging around. Anyway, Yuppy relates to today's youth and understands that through music he can give guidance through his own experiences. The debut single is called "Wrong Things" and it talks about Yuppy's life from high school through college, the birth of his daughter and his relationship with his team G.M.A.T.T.
