The sun sets, the lights come on, and Wilton Manors ignites with the first ever electrifying Glow Night Parade at 8pm. Wilton Drive transforms into a shimmering spectacle of color and creativity in commemorating the 55th anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Riots. Stonewall Parade and Street Festival will begin with a vibrant street festival at 3pm, followed by a spectacular Glow Night Parade at 8 p.m. All residents, visitors, businesses, and nonprofits are welcome to come and show their support for the LGBTQ+ community, both locally and globally.

“This event is about celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community locally

and across the globe,” said Mayor Scott Newton. “We couldn't be prouder to be a safe space for the more than 50,000 people who come together from all across the country and world to celebrate love, acceptance, and inclusion.”

General admission tickets for the event are currently on sale online until June 14, for $10 per person. These tickets grant access to the festival through special prepaid lines at the main entrances. Once inside, attendees can enjoy the street festival with over 100 vendors, performances on seven stages, and, of course, the Glow Night parade. On the day of the event, general admission tickets

will be available for $13 per person, payable by credit card/debit card only as this is a cashless event at the entries, VIP's and lounges. Of course, all the bars and businesses will be taking cash. VIP packages and The Women's Lounge and Black Exxcellence lounge are offered, providing access to air-conditioned tents and exclusive premium lounge experiences.

“My team and I are once again excited to produce the annual Stonewall Pride Parade and Street Festival, which is the largest pride event in the County, and one of the largest in the state," said Jeff Sterling. "We are extra enthused to be working even closer with the City of Wilton Manors to make this the best Stonewall Pride ever. Stonewall Pride prioritizes creating a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community. To ensure that everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves freely, we will have security measures in place. This will include collaborating with local law enforcement for a visible presence, as well as having trained security personnel patrolling the parade route and staying up to date on any risks to our community.

Clue, the hilarious murder mystery comedy inspired by the Hasbro board game and adapted from the cult favorite film, comes to the Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale Tuesday, June 11 through Sunday, June 16, is the final show of the 2023/2024 Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale Season with presenting sponsor Nicklaus Children's Hospital.

Led by Broadway Director Casey Hushion (Associate Director of Mean Girls and The Prom) murder and blackmail are on the menu when six mysterious guests assemble at Boddy Manor for a night they'll never forget! Was it Mrs. Peacock in the study with the knife? Or was it Colonel Mustard in the library with the wrench? Based on the cult 1985 Paramount movie and inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is the ultimate whodunit that will leave you dying of laughter and keep you guessing until the final twist.

It was a pleasure to sit down with Elisabeth for this exclusive Hotspots interview:

At what age did you begin performing and how did it happen?

I started performing when I was 7 years old as my mom took me on a surprise audition to Annie the Musical and I got up there and I got bit by the fever. I just loved it!

What was your first professional gig and how much did you get paid?

It was “Dancing at Lughnasa” which was an Irish play at the Wellesley Repertoire Theater

just outside of Boston. When did you know performing would be your career?

There are so many different paths to it, so it was hard for me to find the correct one. I went to the London Academy for Music and Dramatic Arts for a semester abroad, and I learned a lot there. I got positive feedback and it became a real possibility for me to pursue acting professionally and from there I looked into Grad Schools.

Other than this show, what has been your favorite role so far?

Dawn in “Lobby Hero” this past fall at Palm Beach Drama Works. It was an incredible role.

What's your fantasy role (a role you haven't played but would die to play)?

You know what I am going to say…. I am craving a period piece.

Is it intimidating for you and the cast since the movie has such a cult following?

Totally, it is intimidating, but it's also such a joy. All the actors are fans of the work, and we are delighted to pay homage to it. However, we did find a unique expression of the story and the characters. Is it hard being on the road all the time?

Yes, it is hard, but it's also such a gift that we get to see the country in a way that so few people get to see it. The other day I got to see the oldest bowling alley in the country and on another night, I went to a burlesque show. There is a lot of adventure in my travels!

Describe yourself in 3 words?

Human, empathetic, and consistently delighted by the world (ok, that a lot of words)

What do you do for fun?

When I am not on the road, I play Dungeons and Dragons. The cast has gotten very into Karaoke, and I love trying good food from around the country. What should our readers expect from this touring company of, “Clue”?

The show is genuinely one of the funniest things I have been part of. It's hilarious and nostalgic, and it's just the classic who done it. If you have ever played the board game or have seen the movie you are going to love it. All these actors are some of the most

talented people I have ever worked with. In addition, the set and the score are amazing. It's 90 minutes and with no intermission, you are in and out and have a wonderful time.

An official Stonewall Pride Parade & Street Festival event, the FLoatarama Flotilla will launch from Esplanade Park in downtown Fort Lauderdale and cruise the New River and Intracoastal Waterway with the full support of law enforcement vessels including Fort Lauderdale Marine Patrol, Broward Sheriff's Office, and Wilton Manors Police.

At what age did you begin performing and how did it happen?

I was 2 and I walked away from my mother at the state fair to sing on stage. What was your first professional gig and tell us about it?

I was in my regional theater production of a Christmas Carol.

I first became aware of you from your role on Glee. How did you get cast and how special was working on Glee?

I was on a competition show called the “Glee Project.” To be a fan of the show and then be on the show is every actor's dream. When did you know performing would be your career?

When I was 2 and knew that there was nothing I liked more.

You played Asaka in one of my favorite musicals of all time, Once On This Island. Can you tell me about that experience?

It was long, hard and tedious. It was also a dream role of mine.

What's your fantasy role (a role you haven't played but would die to play)?

I say this all the time in almost every interview that I have given so I'm sure people are sick of me answering this question… but it's Effie in Dreamgirls. What should our readers expect from your performance at the ArshtCenter's CommuniTEA Dance 2024?

I'm excited to let all our collective hair down and have some fun!
