My first design Set Apart I haven't decided but I will probably have this design in all of my style guides as a reminder to me of who I am and to never settle for anything less. In my first issue I addressed labels and the role they play in how we relate to one another. This go around, I am sharing some of my memories of past OPEN HOUSES that my family and I have hosted and one of my favorite labels: Hostess with the Mostest! I love my Open Houses because it's always a mix of people. Over the years, these relationships have extended beyond our front doors...and I am most grateful. Relationships are God designed and are to be nurtured. Here's to friendships, celebrations and love! Happy Holidays!!!
Every year I have a Holiday Open House. People are welcome all day and night. There's food, laughter and TONS of joy. People always ask: what time is the party over and we're reminded of the time one of our friends rolled in at midnight!

I'm excited to feature a dear friend's daughter's candle company: &flora. Some of you may know her mom, Nikki Coleman. The founder, Aseeli Coleman attended my alma mater, Smith College. I was so excited when I took Carol and we saw Aseeli on campus. Aseeli finished her studies at Rutgers Camden but couldn't escape Smith. The former Chancellor, Phoebe Haddon is a Smithie, Smithies are everywhere (lol) Aseeli is also my Soror and a former Debutante (like me!). Support this up and coming Black female entrepreneur.
