Howe junior Jaycie Grisham wins silver City Council challengersays, ‘Itseems they don’t care what we have to say’ at THSWPAstate powerlifting meet I was 48 years old when I found out you could “reelect” someone who was not elected. ***** Misrepresentation is not defined as integrity. Integrity gives you real freedom because you have nothing to fear since you have nothing to hide. If it can be destroyed by the truth, it deserves to be destroyed by the truth. ***** I’ve been fortunate to have a 1-on-1 relationship with a number of Howe’s greatest mentors. From Charles Thompson to L.B. Kirby to Coach Simmons. They all have encouraged me over the years and have instilled in me the attitude of NEVER QUIT. There are those that believe he’s referring to someone else. ***** We just realized that newer Bibles are omitting the verse Matthew 17:21. Older Bibles include it which reads, Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
Billie Ingram, a challenger for one of two open seats for Howe City Council, has been very boisterous against Howe Mayor Bill French on social media. Ingram, on March 3, complained on his campaign Facebook page that the city was restricting the citizens’ abilities to address the city leadership at the council meeting.

Samuel Wilkerson Young’s arrival in Howe in 1874 marked the beginning of 35 years of service to the community. He brought to the area his merchandising knowledge and established its first store. He served as an alderman for the town council and as the town's postmaster for eleven years, and was a shareholder and vicepresident of the Farmer’s National Bank. In addition to his community interests, he farmed a forty-six-acre tract on the edge of town and was a Master Mason. In 1874, Samuel, also known as S. Wilk, and his brother-in-law, Jonathan T. Edwards, purchased the country store of Root and Page which had been established for only a few months in north Howe. Their first two steps were to change the name of the store to Young and Edwards and to expand the stock. According to the Denison Sunday Gazetter the enlarged stock included onions. The newspaper noted that the general store had brought to Denison on August 4, 1874, “a lot of red onions which on average measured four inched in diameter.” The following year, the store was moved nearer to the depot to take advantage of the business generated by the Texas and New Orleans Railroad. By 1885, Edwards had sold his share of the store and it was called Young and Taylor.
The year 1874 also signified new beginnings in S. Wilk’s personal life as well. Nancy Frances Edwards became his wife on January 1, 1874 in Kingston, Hunt County, Texas. A daughter, Laura Virginia, was born July 19, 1875, and died two months later. George Wilkerson Young, their only other child, was born August 20, 1880, in the family home on Young Street. The house was constructed from cypress wood, which was hauled by oxdrawn carts from Jefferson, Texas. In 1909, S. Wilk became ill with a kidney ailment and traveled to Mineral Wells, Texas to take the mineral baths and drink the mineral water. He died there, July 2, 1909, at the age of 74 and was buried at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas on July 4. He was born August 28, 1834 in Tazewell, Virginia. A biographical sketch in the 1907 Christmas edition of the Howe Herald recognized Samuel Wilkerson Young as a “pioneer townsman.” The description is appropriate for a man who committed 35 years of his life aiding in the transformation of a small settlement into a thriving town. - Carol L. McNeil Originally published in the ‘90s...Then and Now—A Historical Cookbook featuring history and recipes of Summit, Howe, Dorchester, and Farmington, Published by the Howe Area Chamber of Commerce, 1991.

Bulldogs swept by Pottsboro, will face Blue Ridge this week Spring break was not sunny and relaxing for the Howe Bulldogs (5-10). They now have now lost 5-straight games after being swept by Pottsboro to open district play. On Tuesday, highly touted Barrett Kent of Pottsboro shut down the Bulldogs in four innings of work. He struck out eight batters and walked one. Austin Haley had two hits for Howe including a double. Garren Lankford’s single was the only other hit in the game. Senior Matt Hayes got the start for Howe and lasted only a third of an inning, allowing 11 earned runs on six hits and five walks. Kent hit a grand slam in the first inning to help his cause. threw 3.2 innings, allowing no earned runs while striking out five and walking two. Daniels allowed three hits. The Friday rematch was a scoreless nail-biter that went into extra innings. Haley pitched beautifully for six innings, allowing no earned runs on seven hits. He walked one and struck out nine Cardinals. In the eighth inning, Landon Throm was tagged for five earned runs on four hits in 1.1 innings. Lankford came in to get two outs without allowing a run. At the plate, Howe could only muster one hit which was a single by Lankford. Haley and Kolin Murphy each reached on walks. The Howe Lady Bulldogs (10-11, 2-2) got two big wins last week during spring break. Howe took down Blue Ridge on Friday, 10-0 and then followed that up on Saturday with a 9-6 win over Gunter. Hosting Blue Ridge, Howe put up a 4spot on the board in the first inning to jump out to a healthy lead. Howe took advantage of Lady Tiger errors to gather most of their early runs. Ryleigh Craven went five strong innings in the circle, allowing only two hits and no earned runs while striking out three and walking none. Kennadi Barrett led the Lady Bulldogs with three hits including a double, three runs scored, and three RBI. Jocee McCullar had two hits including a triple and Emery Snapp had a single.

Howe will travel to Bells on Tuesday and host Leonard on Friday. Both games are listed for 6 pm.
On Saturday at Gunter, the Lady Bulldogs had a one run lead heading into the bottom of the first, but the Lady Tigers turned that around with three runs of their own. But the resiliency of Howe scored three runs in the top of the second. Howe also added a crooked number in the fourth and two runs in the fifth to take a 9-5 lead. Freshman Riley McCollum pitched all seven innings, allowing four earned runs on six hits. She walked eight hitters, but struck out nine. Howe’s newest mural at Don’s Smokehouse
The finished product on the east wall of Don’s Smokehouse at 111 E. Haning Street. Courtesy photo. There’s a new eye-catching mural in downtown Howe. On the east wall of Don’s Smokehouse at 111 E. Haning Street, owner Steve Davis contracted his sister Roxanne to begin the artwork. After some disagreements, the mural was finished by the same artist that painted Gabriela’s Mexican Cocina recently. The mural features the San Jacinto Monument, a bald eagle, the 1835 Gonzales Cannon, USS Battleship Texas, the Alamo, and scenes of Texas such as a herd of cows, west Texas landscape including a cactus. No Texas mural is complete without bluebonnets and an armadillo. Davis says people have been stopping by frequently to have their pictures made by the wall.

“Trump Won” - and you know it Local artists’single hits #1 on iTunes. Christian music artist Natasha Owens, of Frisco, never intended to get into the political arena, but after being frustrated with the amount of fraud seen in the November 2020 election, she decided that she would attack the cancel culture community head on without fear and with full faith. Her most recent song, “Trump Won” has supplanted Apple’s iTunes chart as the #1 song—replacing ‘Justice for All’ a combination of January 6 prisoners and President Donald J. Trump reciting the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance. After releasing the album entitled American Patriot and listening to her audience, she kept hearing from her over and over from her fans that ‘Trump won. Everybody knows that Trump won.’ Owens’ husband inspired her to write a song about Trump winning the election. “It (Trump won and you know it) became a saying in our house. I started putting a jingle to it and we would make up all kinds of words and verses that were so funny—we were just kidding around with it,” said Owens. “It started to wear on me. I was worried about being cancelled out in Contemporary Christian because Nashville is too woke for their audience. The progressiveness has made its way through the church.” Owens feared ostracizing herself from her Contemporary Christian market but she said she came to the realization that standing up for truth and what is right was more important than trying to please the Nashville group that she didn’t align with anyway. “It says in the Bible what’s right is wrong and what’s wrong is right in the end times and that’s what we’re living in,” said Owens. “Stuff that we know is not true is being blasted out there and everybody is being censored for misinformation and deceiving people when we know in our hearts that it’s true. We see it.” When the movie 2000 Mules was released, Owens said it showed clear proof of cheating and it was the damning evidence. “This is it, right here,” said Owens of 2000 Mules. “This is how they stole the election.” Owens said she got to the point where after Trump announced his campaign, she felt she needed to blast words that everyone is afraid to say—Trump won. “I know that advisors to President Trump are probably telling him that he needs to steer away from this topic and to just move on,” said Owens. “But when you talk to people out there— average Americans, they want it acknowledged, they want it talked about. They’ve been censored for so long and they want something done about it. It’s not going away. We need to hit it head on instead of running from it.” The censoring is real as the YouTube
video of Trump Won was labeled as false information by independent factcheckers. A scene in the video shows election officials improperly scanning the same ballots multiple times, however, Facebook’s independent factcheckers said it does NOT which triggered the violation. The video was released prior to the song being available for purchase. Owens says it only takes two to three days to get a song live on Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, Amazon music, and other digital platforms. “For some reason, they dragged their feet and it was a week and a half late. So we jumped the video out there and it’s been gathering steam and not one thing has been done on Facebook until yesterday (Thursday),” said Owens. “When it hit number one and it gets all this press and suddenly it’s being censored.” Trump Won was played several times during Thursday’s Steve Bannon’s War Room show and Owens was featured on Mike Lindell’s FrankSpeech.com. On Friday, President Trump “re-truthed” her video on TruthSocial which received over 20,200 likes and nearly 6,000 “retruths” in 21 hours. As of Saturday, YouTube still had the video posted, and it has not been censored by Twitter, Rumble, or Truth Social. “It’s just Facebook,” said Owens. “How do you get around that? They censored a President for how long? Years? It’s just something you can’t fight. But at least the others are playing nice so far.” She and her husband live in Frisco, but she was originally from Memphis, Tennessee and moved to Colleyville, Texas at the age of 14. She graduated from Grapevine High School in 1994 and met her husband, of Arlington. They’ve lived in Plano and Prosper and moved to Frisco two years ago. Owens’ music career is a story in itself. She comes from a musical family where her parents sang and recorded. But she never wanted to be in the spotlight because she said she suffered from severe anxiety. “I wanted to sing on the praise team and in the choir but never step forward to do a solo or anything like that,” said Owens. Her father passed away in 2010 in Colleyville in a tragic accident while cleaning his gun. “He was gone so quickly and I was such a daddy’s girl and the oldest of the family so I held everybody together,” said Owens who soon found herself in a deep depression at the oneyear mark of his death. She began to question why and speak negatively. She received a call from her pastor who asked her to be the music minister. She informed him that she
struggles with severe anxiety and was dealing with severe depression and couldn’t get out of bed every day. “He kept calling me and kept calling me and I kept getting worse and worse. The enemy had already convinced me that the world would be a better place without me. He called me on a day that I can honestly say that if God had not crossed my path when he did with a lifejacket, I wouldn’t be alive today,” said Owens. “So I said yes to a position I was petrified to take and mentally wasn’t prepared to take. But I was tired of feeling the way I was feeling and I said yes and that was the beginning of many years of recovery.” While at the church, they brought in a man to teach them new songs and he eventually asked Owens whether she had ever thought of putting out an album. She said no but was open to the idea as long as it would be music that would help people get through a trial. With that, her first CD was created. “Somebody I knew sent my music to someone else and this big manager out of New York called me and said, ‘I feel something in your music. I’ve never helped a Christian artist but I’ve always done rock and pop. But I’m new to Christ and I feel like maybe I can help you.’” Owens explained. Six weeks later, she received a call from him on Father’s Day and said his father was dying of cancer and he had thought of Owens when one of her songs began playing on his phone. “He said, ‘I feel like God wants me to help you.’ And that was the beginning of the music career,” said Owens, who opened for Michael W. Smith a few weeks later in front of 20,000 people. She originally turned down the offer because she didn’t have a band and had never sang the songs live and was about to have a panic attack. “He said it’s October 3rd—think about it and let me know, The wind got completely knocked out of me and I said I’ll do it. He said, ‘what changed your mind?’ I said, ‘That’s my dad’s birthday.” Her album entitled, I Made it Through was exactly what she wanted which helps people get through trials. And each album thereafter has been another chapter in her recovery. “I think God had to really show up and direct me because he knew I was paralyzed by fear and that I wouldn’t step
out unless I knew that this is what God wants me to do,” said Owens. Eventually, she became involved in President Trump’s Faith Initiative Team where she saw first-hand what he was doing that the media wasn’t showing. During COVID, her husband inspired her to create an album about hope and the importance of freedom. That’s when she produced her fifth album American Patriot which eventually landed her at Mar-a-Lago to perform. Trump’s Faith Initiative team consisted of pastors, Christian artists and others who had a platform that could compete with the media which wasn’t sharing truthful information. In November 2021, she was invited to the first event of the America First Policy Institute at Mar-a-Lago. “I told myself this is going to be a once -in-a-lifetime opportunity and we’ve got to drop everything and attend this gala,” said Owens. “Little did I know that was the first one of 14 that we did within a year. We just kept getting invited back—mostly to sing.” While performing a concert, President Trump approached her and talked to her while she was singing. “I sang a warrior song and dedicated it to him because I feel God sent him at the perfect time to help America,” said Owens, who said Trump teared up during one of her songs. “It really shows you his heart. He jus loves Americans and he loves the babies.” Her sophomore album, We Will Rise, was named "Inspirational Album of the Year" at the 2018 We Love Christian Music Awards, which led to a deal with Nashville-based Radiate Music and extensive media coverage including appearances on Fox News, HLN, Newsmax and more. Owens has been making regular appearances on the conservative circuit in recent months with CPAC 2022 in Orlando, performing the national anthem for the largest and most influential annual gathering of conservatives in the world. She also performed for nearly 50,000 at this year's Hero’s Honor Festival alongside Toby Keith and Craig Morgan. The song that has caught on fire across the country will most likely send her on stage for Trump rallies in the future. And now she has no fear.

Public records are your records Happy Sunshine Week! (March 1218) Each year, media organizations across the country highlight the importance of accessing government public records and shining the light on records which are stored away in government file cabinets (or computers). Public records are the meat and potatoes of a reporter’s data collection. Their first step usually is to collect the records for a story. The last thing is to interview the folks in the story. But citizens can also take advantage of this law. The federal law is called the Freedom of Information Act, but each state has their own name. In Florida, where I’m from, it is called the Government-in-the-Sunshine Law. Although the law varies from state to state, the gist of it is simple. Don’t ask your government official for his opinion or try to get them to answer questions. They are not required to answer you. If you want to be effective, ask for records! It’s as simple as this. E-mail them and say: This is a request for public records. Please provide a copy of (whatever you’d like to know). And then wait to see what the official says. Sometimes a government agency is lightning fast and will give you the records within the hour. Some are not as efficient and might take a day or two. Some are intent on
not handing over any record and want to keep our public records private! You can spot these when the first person who answers your request for records is an attorney. Another indicator that the agency is not “public records friendly” is they won’t list the e-mail address of the records custodian on their website. If you have any doubt of whether something is a “public record” or not, don’t worry about it. Just ask for it. It is the agency’s responsibility to either provide the record or state the statutory reasons why they won’t provide them. We know public records. As private investigators (my better half and I), we’ve been requesting records from tiny towns to state government to the Feds for decades. (Note: be prepared to wait from the U.S. government! They are S-L-O-W.) We have compiled records on psychiatrists from every single state in the country and even from foreign countries culminating in the “world’s largest collection of records on psychiatrists”, which you can find at PsychSearch.net. Good luck in your own search! Ken Kramer, Private Investigator Agency License #A1400285 Psychsearch.net aka Psychs.com “world’s largest collection of records on psychiatrists” a research division of DataSearch, Inc.

City of Howe SECONDS COUNT IN AN EMERGENCY! That's why the City of Howe has instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System - an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications. This system allows us to telephone all or targeted areas in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action (such as a boil-water notice, missing child or evacuation notices). The system is capable of dialing 60,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers a pre-recorded message describing the situations to a live person or an answering machine in the affected area possibly including instructions requiring action on the part of the recipient. Once the situation is remedied, another call will be placed to the area signaling that the issue has been addressed and that normal activities can be resumed. The following information is required to add a telephone number into the "CodeRED" database: first and last name; address (physical address, no P.O. boxes); city; state; Zip Code; and primary phone number. The system works with cellular phones but requires a valid street address. When entering information, please fill out all of the screens because the newest data entered will replace the old data. Walking on bridges that human eyes cannot see Soon after Jesus had resurrected, we find a beautiful account found in John chapter 20 that is a wonderful example of how much God loves us and Dr. Billy Holland desires to help us. The friends and family of the Messiah were gathered together after his horrific crucifixion and were still grieving over his death when suddenly, He appears in their midst. Even though they remembered how He had promised to return I’m sure they were still awestruck. Jesus stretches out His hands and reveals His wounds, and of course, they are overjoyed to see Him again. He spoke peace over them, commissioned them, filled them with the Holy Spirit, then vanished. Thomas was not there that night and later when he returned he was told that Jesus had visited them. He responded that until he saw Jesus with his own eyes, he would not believe. Eight days later the group came together again and like last time Jesus miraculously appeared except this time Thomas was present. Christ looked at Thomas and told him to reach out and touch the scars, and he did. Jesus said, “Be not faithless, but believing,” and Thomas replied, “My Lord and my God.” When we are discouraged and struggling to believe, we can know that God will make an extra effort to prove how much he loves and cares about us. Have you ever needed Jesus to inject faith into your doubt? Are you feeling the heaviness of fear and discouragement today? You see, Thomas is not the only person who ever doubted. Actually, he’s a perfect example of you and I. God realizes how hard it is for us to believe. Yes, Thomas had a chance to literally see Jesus, but does this mean we will not believe? This is where faith understands that just because we cannot see and touch Christ, does not mean He is not there. In verse 29 we read, “Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: but blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” Trusting God is having the ultimate

optimistic and positive attitude, as faith is choosing to believe there is a way when there seems to be no way. Trust is paying tithes when we only have a small amount of money in the bank. Faith is resting in the promises that God’s word cannot fail. Yes, it’s difficult to demonstrate confidence in His infinite power and authority when all we can see is discouragement and hopelessness, but let us remember, not if - but when the Almighty intervenes in your situation, miracles happen and nothing is ever the same. I John 5:4, “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” So, how can we have more faith? We must consistently ask God to teach us how to believe. Faith is not only a source of spiritual hope and strength, but Hebrews 11:6 reminds us, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that approaches God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” In Acts chapter 16, we read that Paul and Silas were being held in a dark and dreary prison, yet they began to praise and worship the Lord. Why? Because joy is not confined to a geographic location, a mood, or a feeling, but is activated when the determination to trust God becomes stronger than the temptation to doubt. We cannot live in faith and fear at the same time. If we feed our faith, our fears will starve! These men made a choice to perceive reality with the eyes of their spirit instead of being controlled by their emotions and today we have the opportunity to do the same thing. Whatever trial we are facing, we use faith that we developed in the past as mountain-moving faith is not created in one day, but rather with a lifetime of learning. Our natural senses are associated with our emotions, but spiritual faith declares that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Humans tend to rely on their intelligence, but God wants us to place our confidence in Him. True peace comes from knowing that He is listening and moving on our behalf. Thomas Aquinas is quoted as saying, “To the one who has faith, no explanation is necessary, but to the one without faith, no explanation is possible.” Read more about the Christian life at billyhollandministries.com

Texas History Minute (Part 3). The career of Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna brought him to the height of power in Mexican politics, serving as presiKen Bridges dent on eleven different occasions though he preferred to be leading his armies in the field. His career had also brought him nearly into political oblivion. In spite of the many problems Mexico faced and the disaster of his surrender to Gen. Sam Houston at the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836 and his roles in many coups against elected governments, Mexico still reluctantly turned to him in times of crisis by the late 1830s and into the 1840s. By 1841, he had clawed his way back into the presidency. He led a nation that was deeply divided and near bankruptcy. Instead of concentrating on Mexico, he turned his eyes toward Texas and revenge. Santa Anna led a raid into Texas in 1842. By September, he reached San Antonio and captured the city. Texas troops attempted to retake the town, leading to the Battle of Salado Creek just on the outskirts. Mexican troops killed 36 Texas troops in what was called the Dawson Massacre. In spite of Mexico’s numerical superiority, they suffered heavy casualties and retreated back into San Antonio. A few days later, Mexican troops headed south and returned to Mexico. It was the last time Santa Anna was in Texas. The incident convinced most Texans to pursue annexation to the United States once again. Santa Anna left office a month later. He was president twice more before being overthrown in 1844 and forced into exile in Cuba. When the U. S. and Mexico went to war in 1846, Santa Anna returned and led the army once again. At the Battle of Buena Vista in February 1847, Santa Anna led a much larger force against the U. S. but faced difficult resistance. The Americans weren’t going to give in, but Santa Anna was gaining the advantage. Poised for victory after two days of fighting, Santa Anna suddenly left the battlefield in the dead of night. In his arrogance, he was more interested in the political drama in Mexico City as the government disintegrated. The retreat allowed American forces to advance rapidly southward. He installed himself as president again but stepped down weeks later to fight American forces approaching the capital. While Santa Anna delayed American forces, Mexico ultimately surrendered.
Mexico was force to give up territory from California to Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico. In yet another indignity to the self-proclaimed “Napoleon of the West,” Illinois forces captured Santa Anna’s amputated and buried leg from the 1838 Pastry War with France and took it back to the United States, sparking a diplomatic dispute that has lasted for decades. By 1853, he was once again president. He ruled with the same heavy hand. Instead of due process or free speech, his opponents usually saw the army seizing their property. Seeing Mexico’s treasury bankrupt again, he agreed to a land deal with the U. S. He agreed to sell portions of southern Arizona and southern New Mexico in what is now known as the Gadsden Purchase. After having lost nearly half their territory to the U. S., his opponents had finally had enough of Santa Anna. In what came to be called the Liberal Revolution, a coalition of generals, aristocrats, and high-ranking politicians forced Santa Anna from office in 1855. His successors embarked on an ambitious program of reforms to undo the harsh and dictatorial policies that had marked his presidency and restore civil liberties to the people. Santa Anna bounced around the Caribbean for a while before ending up in New York. He tried his hand at business. He tried selling Mexican chicle, a natural gum used since ancient times, to use on buggy and carriage tires instead of rubber. Thomas Adams bought a large shipment, but it proved a poor substitute. Instead, Adams began selling chicle as chewing gum, introducing the popular treat to Americans in part because of Santa Anna. France invaded Mexico in 1862 after a debt dispute and seized Mexico City, while President Benito Juarez launched a long insurgency to defend the country. By 1865, hoping to be the hero of the nation again, Santa Anna offered to return to Mexico to lead the army against its invaders. Seeing the pattern that had marked so much of Santa Anna’s career, Juarez refused. In the meantime, Santa Anna tried to raise money for an army while in New York City, only to see these efforts falter. After Mexico repelled the French in 1867, Santa Anna continued to live in the United States. In 1874, Santa Anna was offered amnesty and was allowed to return to Mexico. His return was met with little fanfare. Barely able to walk, deep in debt, and almost blind, he lived his remaining days quietly. He died in 1876 at age 82, with Mexico still unsure how to place him in its history.

Living with children In 1993, President Clinton signed the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, an international treaty that John Rosemond extends to children the rights to associate with whom they please and have access to all forms of media, among other headscratchers. Thankfully, as of March, 2023, the U.S. Senate has not ratified this nefarious document. I subsequently channeled my indignation into a counter-document titled “Rosemond’s Bill of Rights for Children.” Recently, numerous folks have requested that I reprint the “Bill of Rights.” So, in tribute to civilized behavior, I give you the short list of a child’s rights. Article One: Because it is the most character-building word in the English language, children have the right to hear their parents say “No” at least three times a day, every day. Article Two: Children have the right to find out early in their lives that their parents don’t exist to make them happy, but to offer them the opportunity to learn the skills they will need to eventually make themselves happy. Article Three: Children have a right to scream all they want over the decisions their parents make, albeit their parents have the right to confine said screaming to certain designated “Go Scream All You Want” places in their homes. Article Four: Children have the right to find out early that their parents care deeply for them but don’t give a hoot what said children think about them at any given moment in time. Article Five: Because it is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, children have the right to hear their
parents say “Because I said so” on a regular and frequent basis. (This Article goes hand-in-hand with Article 1.) Article Six: Because it is foremost a character-building activity, children have the right to share significantly in household chores. Article Seven: Every child has the right to discover early in life that he/she isn’t the center of the universe, that he/she isn’t the Second Coming, and that he/ she isn’t even – in the overall scheme of things, and in strictly earthly terms – very important at all (no one is) so as to prevent him/her from becoming an insufferable brat. (Homework Exercise: Name three adults who continue to be insufferable brats.) Article Eight: Children have the right to learn to be grateful for what they receive; therefore, they have the right to receive all of what they truly need and little of what they simply want. Article Nine: Children have the right to learn early in their lives that obedience to legitimate authority is not optional, that there will be consequences for disobedience, and that said consequences will be memorable and therefore persuasive. Article Ten: Every child has the right to parents who love him/her enough to make sure he/she enjoys all of the above rights. And everyone still possessing of commonsense said, “Amen!” Family psychologist John Rosemond: parentguru.com, johnrosemond. com. John Rosemond has worked with families, children, and parents since 1971 in the field of family psychology. In 1971, John earned his masters in psychology from Western Illinois University and was elected to the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.

The Patriot Pony Manhattan DA's Trump case rests on Trump'sArrest shaky legal, ethical ground, experts say & the Second Ordinarily, such a charge would be considered a misdemeanor and come with a two-year statue of limitation. crime," according to Saland Law.
By Ben Whedon Former President Donald Trump on Saturday shocked the world with an announcement that he expects to be arrested Tuesday in connection with an ongoing investigation by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a case legal scholars have suggested has a questionable legal basis. The investigation involves Trump's 2016 alleged payment of $130,000 in hush money to Stormy Daniels via his former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, whom he later reimbursed. While Bragg has not announced specific charges, legal scholars such as George Washington University Professor Jonathan Turley are predicting an indictment for falsifying business records under New York Section 175. Such a charge would likely be based on Trump's labeling his reimbursement of Cohen as a legal expense. Trump's attorney, Joe Tacopina has argued that Trump's payment to Cohen was in fact a legitimate legal fee. Trump, he noted, never directly paid Daniels any money. Rather, he only paid his own lawyer for services rendered, i.e. legal fees. "The payments were made to a lawyer, not to Stormy Daniels," Tacopina said last week on MSNBC. "The payments were made to Donald Trump's lawyer, which would be considered legal fees. Michael Cohen ... was his lawyer at the time and advised him that this was the proper way to do this to protect himself and his family from embarrassment. It's as simple as that." The host then argued that the money Trump paid to Cohen went to Stormy Daniels and was therefore not a legal fee. "It went to Stormy Daniels from Michael Cohen," the Trump attorney countered. "He decided he was going to do it this way and asked for the reimbursement of what he billed as legal fees. That is not a crime." Ordinarily, such a charge would be considered a misdemeanor subject to a two-year statute of limitation, meaning Bragg cannot pursue it solely on this basis. Bragg does, however, have the discretion to convert it into a Class E felony, if he can prove that Trump's alleged "intent to defraud involved further criminal intent to either hide the commission of another crime or to assist in the commission of that other
In order to meet even the threshhold standard for prosecution, Bragg would therefore need to argue that Trump falsified business records concealing his reported "hush money" payment to Daniels with the intent to conceal another crime. As a hush money payment to ensure silence about an affair would not be illegal in and of itself, Bragg's case would likely hinge on a possible campaign finance violation. If Cohen's payment to Daniels constituted an illegal campaign contribution, then the falsification of records would have concealed an underlying crime, providing legal predicate for a Class E felony charge of first degree falsifying business records. Trump would face up to four years in prison if convicted on the charge. Bragg, therefore, needs to demonstrate that the payments occurred specifically with the intent to affect the election, a prospect Turley called "extremely difficult," given the myriad other legitimate reasons Trump might have for wanting to keep an alleged affair out of the spotlight. Tacopina argues that the payment was not an illegal campaign contribution, both because Trump used his own money and because he would have made the payment regardless of whether he was running for president. "This is Donald Trump paying with his own money," he told MSNBC. "Here's the bright line test, and here's where this case falls miserably ... If the spending were the fulfillment of a commitment or the expenditure would exist irrespective of a campaign, it's not a campaign law violation. "End of story. This would exist irrespective of the campaign." Characterizing the payment as a "nuisance settlement," Tacopina explained that people make such payments to make embarrassing problems disappear but that does not mean the claims are valid, noting his client "vehemently denies an affair." Trump has labeled the case a political witch hunt, a claim he has often made of various legal actions against him. In this case, major legal scholars appear sympathetic to that argument. Turley dubbed the possible trial a "prosecution by plebiscite," referring to the political pressure on Bragg to bring a case. "The season opener of 'America’s Got
Trump' might be a guaranteed hit with its New York audience — but it should be a flop as a prosecution," he concluded. Harvard Law School Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz last week likened a potential Trump prosecution to Jim Crow-era legal tactics in which prosecutors predetermine a target's guilt and then find a charge on which to prosecute. Writing in his Substack newsletter, Dershowitz, a member of Trump's defense team during his first impeachment trial, asked, "Does anyone actually believe that if someone else were accused of paying hush money to avoid a sex scandal in the manner that Mr. Trump is suspected of doing, he would be prosecuted?" The former president "should not be indicted for novel and unprecedented technical crimes for which no one else would be prosecuted," he wrote. Decrying "partisan selective prosecution," the renowned civil liberties lawyer concluded: "Equal protection of the law requires equal application and non-application of criminal statutes. Mr. Bragg would be violating that important principle if he seeks a grand jury indictment based on what now appears to be the slim evidence and even slimmer legal basis." American Revolution
By Tom Renz Tomrenz.substack.com In the minds of many patriots, conservatives, libertarians, and even some relatively mainstream republicans our nation is careening out of control towards a socialist/communist nightmare. I count myself amongst this group of people and find myself ever more concerned that the complete disregard for the principles our nation was founded on is leading to massive levels of political unrest at a time when America’s enemies are stronger and more emboldened than ever. This demonstrative lack of respect for our Constitutional principles is becoming ever more apparent and has now led to the political imprisonment of J6 protesters for 2 years and now, the reported upcoming arrest of a former President that is running for office again. To nearly anyone paying attention though that is regrettably few - this latest assault on the most fundamental principles of justice in this nation will simply be a bridge to far and, I predict, will lead to another level of upheaval in a nation already besieged by enemies foreign and domestic. Given the apparent risk of repeating the past I want to discuss a bit of history. There was no singular cause for the American Revolution, rather, it was a confluence of events that pushed enough of the colonists beyond their willingness to tolerate the ruling class dictates. By no means do I intend to get into everything in this article, but I want to draw some parallels. Rather, I mean this as food for thought for the current nobility class and those that think we can continue this way. The first thing to understand about the revolution is the mindset of the colonists. They or their ancestors had risked everything to come to the new lands to live their lives. Many had left to escape religious persecution or overbearing governments/monarchs. Upon arriving many faced unthinkable difficulties in trying to settle a completely new land while nearly totally cut off from the resources of the “civilized world.” These brave pioneers had to make their shelter (without modern tools), grow and hunt for their food, deal with disease, create (Continued on page 18)

The Patriot Pony Second American Revolution (Continued from page 17)
enough law and order to function, and simply find ways to survive. These individuals were tough and there were no safe spaces to hide so they could cry their fears away. They did what was necessary or died, or worse, had to watch their families die. These individuals recognized that law and order were necessary because without it they could not rely on each other and would thus not survive. That said, they also pushed through all of these issues so they could live their lives without persecution. While much of that spirit and toughness has been lost, it does still live in many Americans. In only the past hundred or so years we saw generations stand and fight against racial inequality, suffrage, and many other assaults on freedom. Americans are still very strongly of the belief that we should all be able to live our lives freely with minimal interference from outside interference. While it may seem counterintuitive to those of us that are conservative, libertarian, or generally patriotic, the left does not disagree with this but, rather, are generally misled into advocating for positions that they would fundamentally disagree with if they understood. Let me explain. The movement for gay rights has been pushed by people with agendas but has been championed by people screaming “stay out of my bedroom.” The important point that we should not overlook here is that these advocates are pushing for freedom… they are telling the government to stay out of the daily lives of people. The freedom to live your life without governmental interference is foundational to our country and we can all come together on it. Where the right and left break down on the issue of gay rights is not whether people should be allowed to live their lives as they choose (they obviously should or we are not a free country), rather the breakdown occurs because the agenda driven left then pushes beyond the freedom to live your life and into forcing those with religious beliefs that disagree with gay rights to condone the lifestyle. This means that the people that are rightly advocating for people to live their lives as they choose are then being misled into pushing for some people to live their lives as they choose, and others being forced to give up their freedoms to believe as they choose. Freedom either exists for all or none. This is similar to the overreach of the British government prior to the revolution. The American colonies had to have local government to set and enforce local law and provide for courts to deal with disputes (they were quite different than what we have today). Colonists found ways to deal with issues that reflected the ideals they had embraced and were living their lives. As the colonists became more en-
trenched and felt more comfortable with their newfound “rights” they became far less tolerant of interference from a disconnected group of unelected officials interfering with these rights. Feel free to draw a parallel between the nobility class in Washington telling us that we have to lockdown, wear masks, and take experimental gene therapy injections that kill more than they save. People now, as then, just want to live their life without interference. In terms of the events leading up to the revolution, there are other substantial parallels to the things we are seeing today. The French and Indian War was expensive, and the British economy was struggling at the time. This was cutting into the good life of the ruling class and was unacceptable to them, so they began raising taxes and restricting trade in the colonies to make their own lives easier (yes this is an oversimplification of what happened). The Sugar Act and Currency Act created issues with trade and prevented colonists from printing their own money. Together these, plus other tyrannical laws, led to the Boston Tea Party. In terms of today, these two acts had the effect of limiting the colonist’s ability to participate in commerce while also making them more reliant on the broken British economy. You may notice the parallels between the idea of international vaccine passports and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). Vax passports are being pushed by the WHO and supported by Biden. Many forms of trade and commerce will become unavailable to those that have not allowed the government to alter their DNA with these gene therapy injections. To enforce this “great reset” of our rights, the government will eliminate any private currency in favor of CBDC so they can control what you spend your money on and penalize you if you speak or act against the crown. These two items together are FAR FAR more impactful than the Sugar Act and Currency Act but our global nobility class and the rulers in DC are pushing for them regardless. Needless to say, all these things infuriated the colonists, but the British did far more, as tyrants always do. To ensure the colonists were kept in their place, the British also enforced “Writs of Assistance”. The Writs of Assistance allowed the British soldiers (acting in their capacity as our current FBI) to search and seize any property the decided was illegal - smuggled, stolen, etc. This meant the soldiers could essentially decide they wanted to search a home (say Mar-a-Lago), go in and raid it (like Melania’s underwear drawer), and take whatever they wanted (Donald Trump’s papers?). Frequently, these tactics were corrupt and used to control the public rather than legitimate acts of police power. The situation was made far worse by the corruption of the justice system at
the time. The Boston Massacre occurred after substantial posturing by the British. The Brits had sent warships and soldiers to Boston Harbor because of the political turmoil and protests that had resulted from the ruling class’s tyrannical dictates. As tensions escalated violence broke out and people were killed. Ironically, John Adams defended the British soldiers in court for their role in this and was successful in his case. Despite this, the British decided that they needed more control over the justice system then created a rule that British officers accused of crimes in the colonies would be sent to Britain for trail. This meant there would almost certainly be no witnesses and the trial would be a joke. That situation allowed officers to essentially act with impunity in the colonies as there was no legitimate court system. If this seems all too familiar that is because we are living through similar nonsense. The Boston Massacre occurred because violence broke out after the people felt unheard. The people gathered and small things escalated to larger things and then everything got out of hand. On Jan 6 people gathered after the courts refused to hear ANY evidence on election cases. While I cannot argue that some of the cases filed were poor, the fact that the Supreme Court of the United States refused to even hear evidence when a case was filed and supported by multiple states led to people doing exactly the same thing - gather to ensure their voice was heard. Where January 6th seems to differ is that we are now finding that it is highly likely that the protestors of J6 were completely nonviolent until FBI and other governmental actors provoked them. The firing of tear gas, the violent attacks, the lies, the cover-ups, etc. all pushed an already outraged crowd into action. This intentional act, that started when the SCOTUS refused to fulfill its role, then lead to political imprisonment. Despite being entrapped and [arguably] constitutionally unable to be charged in many instances, we see political prisoners rotting in jail for over two years for questioning the throne. Further, the courts hearing their cases have, in my opinion acted so illegally and unethically that they have made the entire situation worse. To add additional fuel to this already burning hot fire the courts have continued their corruption in Arizona. De-

spite the legislature clearly overturning common law after the corrupt 2020 election the Arizona courts have continued to rely on standards from the 1920s to allow Katie Hobbs to steal an election. An election she abused her power to oversee while she competed in it, abused her power to have her opponent censored in, and abused her power to threaten officials to certify her “win” of face criminal prosecution. Further, we now have the courts going after any lawyer that has the courage to question the legitimacy of an election. Is it any wonder Americans are losing faith in the courts? As if all of this is not enough, we are now escalating ourselves even closer to outright tyranny and the complete loss of faith in our justice system. It is being reported that this week President Donald Trump will be arrested for some nonsense charges out of New York put forth by an activist DA who is far more interested in politics than justice. This while we have Hunter Biden committing every crime on the planet (including possibly making money off of the creation of SARSCOV-2 - see my SubStack here) and the “big guy” getting his 10%. We have Pelosi covering up the criminal incident with her husband and seeming to coordinate with the Capital Police to allow J6. Let’s not overlook ED -Leader China-Mitch McConnell and his payoffs through his wife and from Pfizer (that may or may not be legal). And what about the corruption from the FTX scandal that many congresspeople made money off of? I don’t know where all this is going but I do know it is not good. I also know that I do not want to see an armed and violent revolution - especially with America in a weakened state. That said, I WILL NOT stand by while our children’s future is stolen and so will do EVERYTHING in my power to peacefully protect our freedom. It has been said that substantially less than 50% of the colonists supported the Revolution but that small group won against the most powerful empire in the world. If enough of us stand peacefully but immovably we can still save our country and freedom around the world but we MUST take action now.
