One Act Play heads to bi-district
This time four years ago, during an election year, the coronavirus was thrust upon the world. Will anything happen this week? My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell announced that the filing of the Kari Lake and Mark Finchem v Hobbs lawsuit with the Supreme Court is Thursday. He says the evidence of fraud in the 2020 election will be the most explosive that anyone has yet to see. The appeal calls for SCOTUS to issue a Writ of Certiorari to the lower courts which have refused to address evidence of election manipulation using electronic voting systems. As I approach half a hundred this May, I figured the delay of the dreaded colonoscopy had been put off long enough. Everyone told me the prep was worse than the procedure itself. As it turns out, always listen to those with experience. The previous night before the procedure, a HCFDC board member wished me good luck and said, “I hope everything comes out okay.” It’s also nice to have buddies that tell you that the sewer budget for the month may need to be adjusted. And one said he went and bought extra toilet paper just in case I created a shortage in Texoma. There will be a meeting on March 25, 2024, at 7 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn, Texoma Event Center at 5015 South US 75 in Denison and they are hoping for a packed house. Local conservatives invade old Republican guard Super Tuesday was a full -on conservative volcano as challenger Shelley Luther defeated incumbent Reggie Smith for the Texas House Representative, District 62 Republican nominee. While narrowly winning Grayson County, Luther took the 3-county vote including Fanning and Delta with a total of 16,946 to 14,774. Smith had previously held the seat since 2018 when he defeated challenger Brent Lawson in a May run-off that year and was unopposed by a Democrat that November. Luther gained national fame during COVID when she opened her hair salon in Dallas during the mandatory lockdown. Senator Ted Cruz famously showed up for a haircut during debate of emergency orders while top Texas Repub-

With the endorsement of Cruz, Attorney General Ken Paxton, the Grayson County Conservatives, and even Ted Nugent, Luther took all three counties of Grayson, Fannin, and Delta to win the Republican nominee

He told a group in Denison that it’s time to make the precinct chairs the focal part of the Republican Party in their communities and says that he will be the chairman that will be involved in the day-to-day activities. Lawson is one of the leaders of the Grayson County Conservatives. With Grayson County Precinct 1 Commissioner Jeff Whitmire deciding not to run, no candidate reached over 50 percent where Josh Marr and Scott Renfro will be paired against each other in a May run-off as Marr fell 17 votes shy of the needed margin. Marr garnered 2,390 votes to Renfro’s 1,814, and Terry Thomas finished with 610. Marr told an audience in Howe in February that what set him a part from the others was his ability to negotiate deals and stand up for true conservative principals. Renfro, touts his experience on the Howe and Tom Bean School Board along with his numerous years on the board of Farm Bureau. The run-off winner will face Democrat Andre Luper in November who received 345 votes. Joy Roberts, who lives in Luella, won the Republican Precinct 104 Chair for that area. She defeated Kenzie Baca, 217-89. President Donald Trump outpaced Nikki Haley, 17,908 to 3,361 among Grayson County voters. He appears on his way to become the Republican nominee for President of the United States again. On the Democrat side, Joseph R. Biden totaled 2,063 votes with Dean Phillips coming in next with 135 and Marianne Williamson coming in third with 105 total votes. Biden appears to be the Democrat nominee. Cruz easily won in Grayson County with 18,942 votes. Democrat Colin Alred accumulated 1,220 votes locally and 58.84 percent of the state wide vote. Cruz received 88.31 percent of the vote in Texas. For US District 4, Pat Fallon received 17,058 votes compared to Don Horn’s 3,202. Fallon received 80.29 percent of the state wide vote while Simon Cardell was uncontested. Brent Hagenbach and Jace Yarbrough will face-off in a Texas Senate District 30 run-off in May as neither reached even 40 percent majority of the needed 50 percent majority needed. The Democrats will also hold a run-off with Michael Braxton and Dale Frey also neither reached 40 percent.

Dorchester kiln
A flyer sent to the Howe Enterprise from a concerned Dorchester citizen. (Continued from page 1)
Road in Dorchester. The city wrote the ordinance with recognition of concerns of public health, safety, and welfare implications of the proposed operation. The Dorchester City Council is concerned about the potential air, noise, blast, seismic waves, and light pollution. They say the seismic waves and other activity emanating from the cement plant could negatively affect sensitive landowners and users nearby, including the new silicon prairie hightechnology industries such as the $36 billion investments into the expansions of Texas Instruments and Global Wafers. A big proponent of the cement plant is the First Baptist Church of Dorchester which is home to 100 students that meet once per week for both indoor and outdoor facilities. The church is located in extremely close proximity to the proposed location. In addition, an airport, TxAerosport Aerodome, is located in close proximity to the site which, according to the Dorchester resolution, would not comply with applicable rules governing the distance necessary. Dorchester estimates the plant will result in monetary damages that will exceed $100,000,000.
Flyers in protest of the cement plant say that the pollution, traffic, water availability, and contamination will affect more than a 30-mile radius. It states that it will adversely impact health because of the dust being blasted and cites the adverse effect it will have on property values, vegetation, landscape, and habitats for livestock and wildlife. In a written list of bullet points provided to the Howe Enterprise by the opposition, it states that 653 tons or 30 semi-loads of particulate matter or dust exhausted in the air each year, with mostly south winds settling over Sherman, Denison, Lake Texoma, and even Durant, Oklahoma. It goes on to say that the blasting, mining, or transporting of rock to the kiln would most likely double or triple that amount citing 58 tons of sulfuric acid and 80 pounds of lead polluted each year into the air. The bullet points also states that schools such as Sherman High School, Sory Elementary, and Texoma Christian School will be subject to students with illnesses affected from the production plant. It even states that it will cause Grayson County to be classified for mandatory emissions tests as part of the yearly inspections for motor vehicles.

Howe Community Facilities Development Corporation amends budget, considers updating city’s comprehensive plan The Howe Community Facilities Development Corporation (HCFDC) serves held a meeting Thursday evening at Summit Gardens to discuss the updating of the city’s comprehensive plan which was last accomplished in 2010. The board, consisting of Sharla Ross, Janie Finney, Clay Wilson, Kent Lowder, Dana Nixon, Kevin Crosson, and Brandon Grooms, heard a presentation from Maurice Schwanke of Bureau Veritas who discussed the project which would begin with a strategic committee most likely consisting of HCFDC board members, council members, the mayor, and city administrator. Schwanke said the first portion fo the plan would be to put together base mapping of the city to give a better outline for zoning.

The board entered executive session to discuss real estate matters before returning to adjourn the meeting.
The board also discussed liability insurance for board members which is covered by the City of Howe through the Texas Municipal League’s program. The board approved a budget amendment which increased the projected revenue to $155,000 for the fiscal year which began in October. The budget transferred the salary and benefits amount from Chief Operating Officer Monte Walker into the line item of projects. This is due to Walker’s salary now being paid by the City of Howe as the city administrator. Walker has not received a salary from the HCFDC since August.

Every year, twice a year, we spring forward and fall back, changing our clocks in an endless cycle of insanity. Everyone pretty much agrees, it’s awful, and “time change” needs to end. What we can’t seem to agree on is which time to leave it.
It is clear that we have not learned from history, either. The US tried permanent DST in 1974. 79% of the population was in favor of the program at the beginning, but after only one dreadful winter, the support dropped to 42%. School officials urged lawmakers to reconsider after the expected energy savings ended up being false, the schedule disrupted family time for students, and several deaths were directly attributed to DST due to children going to school in darkness. The 2-year program was ended a year and a half early. Many other countries have also tried permanent DST and have likewise canceled their programs.
I am firmly in the camp of Standard Time. Sure, it’s nice to have daylight hours in the summer evenings, but at what cost? One non-profit, nonpartisan group has come together to answer that question. Save Standard Time dot org, a group comprised of doctors, sleep experts, scientists, and astronomers, argues that permanent Standard Time, the natural time defined by the sun, is the healthiest time to follow. Shifting to Daylight Saving Time (DST) affects our health in adverse ways, including causing us to lose an average of 19 minutes of sleep each night, and disrupting our circadian rhythms. Save Standard Time asserts, “Healthful sleep is necessary for prosperity and longevity, and it’s biologically regulated by melatonin and cortisol. The body’s natural release of these sleeping and waking hormones is tuned to the setting and rising of the sun.” The truth is our bodies were meant to rise with the sun. One of the harms that experts say will happen if we go to year-round DST is that people will rise in the dark during winter hours when the day is short and be making their morning commute in the dark. Children will be waiting at bus stops in the dark, and the risk of accidents increases. For the “extra hour” of daylight in the summer, we would be miserable during the winter mornings. And don’t we realize that there’s not actually an extra hour? Summertime naturally has up to 14.5 hours of daylight at its longest, while winter has 10.5 hours of daylight at its shortest. Whether a day is from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., or 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., the length remains
The federal legislature currently gives a remedy for the time change. Any state can adopt permanent Standard Time by passing legislation. Arizona, Hawaii, and all US territories have gone back to permanent Standard Time without any difficulty. If Texas wishes to end “time change,” we can easily pass a bill to do so. However, that is not what Texas did in the last legislative session. Instead, the Texas House passed legislation to make DST permanent, which cannot happen without the approval of Congress. Legislation to make DST permanent at the federal level has been proposed several times but has not passed. The permanent DST law that the House passed will not go into effect unless and until the US Legislature acts, and there is no guarantee that it will. Had the legislature passed permanent Standard Time instead, it would have taken effect either on September 1st as most bills do, or they could have chosen to have it take effect after the regular November “fall back.” I propose that our representatives pass a law to make Standard Time permanent once again. It is better for public health, and public safety, and is the most biologically normal time for us to be in. And we don’t need any permission from the feds to do so.

City of Howe SECONDS COUNT IN AN EMERGENCY! That's why the City of Howe has instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System - an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications. This system allows us to telephone all or targeted areas in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action (such as a boil-water notice, missing child or evacuation notices). The system is capable of dialing 60,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers a pre-recorded message describing the situations to a live person or an answering machine in the affected area possibly including instructions requiring action on the part of the recipient. Once the situation is remedied, another call will be placed to the area signaling that the issue has been addressed and that normal activities can be resumed. The following information is required to add a telephone number into the "CodeRED" database: first and last name; address (physical address, no P.O. boxes); city; state; Zip Code; and primary phone number. The system works with cellular phones but requires a valid street address. When entering information, please fill out all of the screens because the newest data entered will replace the old data. Texas History Minute On Monday, April 8, viewers in the continental United States will be witness to a rare, spectacular event: the total eclipse of the Sun by the Moon. Ken Bridges And Texas will be able to enjoy most of the event in spectacular fashion. Across the entire state, at least 80% of the Sun will be obscured, allowing almost all of the Lone Star State to experience the event, with the area of the total eclipse moving across the heart of Texas. Already, preparations are being made across the state. Hotel rooms in the path of the totality, the area of total eclipse, have been sold out for months. State officials estimate that millions could be visiting the state that day. Though the Moon orbits the Earth every 28 days, the alignment of the Earth, the Moon, and the Sun to produce an eclipse only happens rarely. Eclipses have been sighted for centuries. Among the earliest recorded eclipses occurred in ancient Mesopotamia in 1375 BC. Ancient Egyptians, who worshipped the Sun, were reportedly so disturbed by the bad omens associated with eclipses that they would never mention or write about them, fearing bad luck. Historically, eclipses have been met with both fascination and dread. The Chinese believed that dragons were eating the Sun, causing an eclipse. Drums were beaten to drive them off, according to legend. Similarly, an old Choctaw legend held that a black squirrel caused solar eclipses when it tried to eat the Sun and that the people needed to make noises to scare it off. Cherokees believed that a giant frog jumped onto the sun to cause an eclipse and that the people must beat drums and make loud noises to scare it away. For generations, Navajos believed that they should not eat during an eclipse or they would experience digestive problems. Navajo traditions also warned against looking at the Sun during an eclipse, or they would go blind, a belief backed by modern science. The ancient Mayans, without benefit of calculators or computers, were able to carefully calculate when eclipses would occur. Eclipses have also been an important tool for scientific discovery. Astronomers discovered a new comet during an eclipse in AD 418. The Sun’s corona was first noticed in an eclipse in 968. In the eighteenth century, solar prominences, eruptions on the Sun’s surface, were observed. These all helped give important information on how the Sun worked. The first eclipse photographed was in 1860. Eclipses in 1919 and 1929 helped confirm Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity by confirming that the light of stars traveling near the Sun was bent by the Sun’s intense gravity. The totality will take a path stretching from Del Rio, which will reach totality at 1:30 up to Texarkana, which will see the totality at 1:56. The path of the Moon’s shadow will roughly run parallel to Interstate 35 north of San Antonio to the Metroplex and include the almost the entire path of Interstate 30. San Antonio will be on the eastern edge of the totality, seeing the maximum eclipse by 1:34. Austin will see the total eclipse by 1:37, followed by Waco at 1:40. Almost the entire Dallas-Fort Worth area will be plunged into darkness as the Moon’s
shadow passes, including all of Dallas, Tarrant, Rockwall, and Collin counties by 1:42, with Denton on the northern edge of the totality. Even the extreme western and northwestern edges of the area such as Mineral Wells and Gainesville will see 98% coverage. The totality will cover the entire area between Sherman and Texarkana starting at 1:43. Even people outside the totality will see a great deal of the eclipse. Along the Gulf Coast, viewers will see up to 93% of the eclipse, with Beaumont expected to see 94% at 1:40. On the northern side of the path of the totality, viewers will still see at least 83% of the Sun eclipse in the northwest Panhandle. Across the state, El Paso viewers will see 85% totality by 12:25 local time, Amarillo to see 87% eclipse by 1:40 and Lubbock to see 89% totality by 1:38. The line between San Angelo, Abilene, and Archer City will see 95% coverage. Wichita Falls will see 93% of the Sun obscured by 1:42. The total time from the beginning of the eclipse until the end will be roughly two and one-half hours. A Dallas-are viewer will see the beginning of the eclipse at 12:23 and the end by 3:02. For Austin, it will begin at 12:17 and end at 2:58, with the peak at 1:37. At the mid-point of the eclipse, the totality will last between two and four minutes. From Texas, the long shadow of the Moon will then travel across Arkansas and Missouri and then to Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York, and to Maine throughout the afternoon. Millions of Americans are expected to enjoy what is being called the “Great American Eclipse.” Viewers should plan ahead to make sure the eclipse is viewed safely. Individuals need to remember that they should never look at the Sun directly. Even with most of the Sun obscured, the glare is too intense for the human eye to tolerate. Looking directly at the Sun is dangerous and could cause permanent eye damage and even blindness. Not even regular sunglasses or binoculars are safe. Darkened Welder’s glass is the only safe glass dark enough to view an eclipse through. Specially made eclipse glasses can allow for safe viewing, but NASA recommends that these eclipse glasses not be used if they are torn or scratched and that children’s viewing should be closely monitored. Even with eclipse glasses, people should not view the eclipse through telescopes, binoculars, or camera lenses. The classic pinhole projector will offer safe viewing: simply poke a small hole through one sheet of paper (poster board or cardboard can also work) and allow the fading sunlight to project onto another piece of paper. With these precautions in place, the event promises to be a spectacular display of nature. As the Sun disappears behind the Moon, viewers will be able to see the features of the Moon. Lunar mountains and craters will allow only tiny pieces of the Sun to shine through, a phenomenon known as “Bailey’s Beads.” And the last piece of the Sun to disappear will shine brilliantly on the Moon’s edge, known as the “Diamond Ring Effect.” NASA has unveiled a website for the eclipse, including tips on viewing the event safely at science.nasa.gov. Many communities are organizing eclipse viewing parties and events. The next major eclipse for Texas will be August 12, 2045.

Pulling down strongholds within our minds The Human experience includes the standard requirement to choose right and wrong and has always been accountable when it Dr. Billy Holland comes to good and evil. Each of us has the free will to choose how we live and no matter how much we brag about being independent, there is no such thing as walking through this life refusing to be accountable to God. Every selfgoverning and self-reliant person who has ever lived does not have the authority to be excused from God’s judgment. It would seem that humans would understand there are only two choices in this life which is cooperating with God or fighting against Him. A good question is how many sincerely see this truth, and how many see it but refuse to deal with it? It’s not a secret that people want freedom to speak, live, and worship this is why our ancestors began this great nation. Many have taken an even more extreme path by living off the grid so they can be free to do whatever they desire. However, the ultimate freedom is spiritual and includes turning away from sin and yielding our will to God so we can enjoy the liberty of walking in His presence wherever we are. When we sing, “My chains are gone, I’ve been set free” it’s a declaration that our carnality and the persuasions of evil are no longer holding us in the bondage of misery and depression. When God’s truth sets us free, we are free indeed if we desire to be. The majority of the world would rather not dwell on the fact that someday they will give an account of their life. A convenient way to temporarily escape conviction is to block these thoughts from our minds and replace them with things that make us happy. We realize that unbelievers do this, but why would a follower of God not want to think about this? The basic reason is they refuse to give Him their heart. Our default nature has a sneaky self-preservation mode that gives us the capability to convince ourselves we are right when we are wrong. It’s deadly but true that the un-renewed conscience can cleverly persuade the
brain that we have fooled everyone. This is an intentional deception that justifies what is personally acceptable. A stronghold that needs to be broken. This ability to come up with excuses and override every voice of reason (including the Holy Spirit) can be blamed for much of why we are our own worst enemy. It’s true, humans are smart and are often secretly proud that maybe they can hoodwink God. A fascinating aspect of this serious problem is that many individuals do not take sin seriously. We seem to be religious experts in comprehending what is right and wrong and are always first in line to judge others but have a tendency to be very lenient with who we are. Come to find out, we are not as smart as we thought. God is not only perfectly aware of how humans are wired but keeps track of every thought as the Bible says in Jeremiah 17:10, “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” He realizes how difficult it is for us to change, but He must retain the highest standard of purity to preserve the integrity of His absolute truth. It’s true, His mercy endures forever but His grace does not give us a license to play games with secret sin. This transformation process to become holy as He is holy does not happen because it's a good idea, we are drawn into Him when we love Him with all of our mind, soul, and strength. Becoming an overcomer with Christ in this life will happen when our obedience to God becomes more important than allowing our rebellion to control us. The Bible is heavy on the theme of repenting which sadly is why it has more dust on its cover than the latest issue of National Geographic. It’s also why watery religion is much more popular than taking up our cross and truly following Christ. We all resist laying upon the altar and sacrificing our will to become a new creation, however, it’s the way He demands. Living in denial and ignoring our accountability to God allows our old nature the perfect opportunity to ruin us in this life and possibly the next. The COVID Gene Jab. Inconvenient Truths. Update on current status through my lens By Robert W. Malone, MD, MS Last fall I thought that the wall of propaganda deployed by the publicprivate partnership of western governments, WHO, WEF and NGO to support the COVID gene therapy technology-based “vaccines” would soon fall. I thought that the burden of evidence that the products were neither safe nor effective was overwhelming, and that the “official” lies had become unsustainable. Silly me. What I overlooked and underestimated was the power of the globalized censorship-industrial complex to literally distort reality and/ or substitute a false synthetic reality for truth in large numbers of minds. For further details on how this works, I recommend the insights and documentation provided by Mike Benz and colleagues (Foundation for Freedom Online) and in particular the recent Tucker Carlson/Mike Benz interview. Rather than the usual DC tactic of finding a convenient fall guy and pinning blame for this whole COVID fiasco on a sacrificial lamb (Tony Fauci/NIAID and Peter Daszak/Eco Health Alliance, for example), what has been done is to seek to completely avoid accountability by deploying heavy handed censorship, PsyWar, and propaganda techniques on local civilian populations as a way of obscuring and confusing the truth of the widespread mismanagement. This mismanagement has resulted in enormous and widespread economic damage, a global epidemic of excess all-cause mortality and morbidity, and deep damage in public trust in governmental organizations and their integrity. And as even those methods are proving incapable of preventing inconvenient “COVID vaccine” facts from spreading via alternative media, governments are now resorting to criminalizing the sharing of inconvenient truths. Similar legislation is currently pending in the Canadian province of British Columbia. Nothing says “safe and effective” quite like prison time and fines for publicly questioning whether a medical product is safe and effective. Currently, there is a concerted global effort to not only prevent distribution of the actual facts concerning the damages done by the global public health response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but to quite literally criminalize those who seek to share those facts.
All this despite the CDC now considering COVID signs, symptoms and risks similar to those of other common respiratory viruses, and no longer recommending a five day isolation period for COVID. What are those inconvenient facts which cannot be shared? The modified mRNA and adenoviral vectored products are not “traditional” vaccines, employ cutting edge gene delivery or gene therapy technologies, and should be regulated as gene therapy products. These “leaky” products did not prevent infection, replication, and spread of SARS-CoV-2, and indiscriminate mass administration of these products contributed to evolution of more antibody-resistant viral strains. In contrast to official HHS communications, these products distribute throughout the body after injection, and are not localized to injection site and associated lymph nodes. This wide distribution contributes to product toxicity and risk, as the body responds to both the genetic delivery particles themselves as well as the encoded proteins which these products cause the body to mount inflammatory responses to the cells and tissues which receive these products. The viral “spike” protein which these products cause patients’ bodies to manufacture is a genetically engineered toxin. The lipid nanoparticle formulation used to deliver the modified mRNA has intrinsic toxicity in humans. These products do not deliver natural messenger RNA, but rather a synthetic chemically modified form with extended stability which cause the body to produce “frameshifted” unnatural, unintended proteins. These products are contaminated with previously undisclosed short DNA fragments which are co-delivered into tissues and cells of patients (together with the modified m-RNA), and which at an unknown and uncharacterized frequency damage patients’ genomes. Analysis of public databases clearly demonstrate a causal relationship between administration the these prod-
ucts and a variety of toxicities including cardiac damages, central and peripheral nervous system damages, damage associated with abnormal blood clotting, and death. Public health data from a wide variety of western government sources demonstrate that the repeated administration of these modified mRNA products are associated with “negative efficacy” (increased risk of COVID disease) beginning between one and three months after administration. In parallel, at the fringes of the “medical freedom” movement, there are efforts to delegitimize those who have been reporting these inconvenient truths if they are not sufficiently strident in their statements. Infiltrators, those who believe that they have not received sufficient attention for their own theories, and chaos agents are sowing discord by claiming that others who have remained data and documentation-based in their criticism must be “controlled opposition”, “grifters”, compromised by conflicts or interest, or in some way surreptitiously acting on behalf of governments, pharma, NGO, WEF or WHO if they do not endorse the latest and most extreme theories. While much of this involves variants of well known internet Trolling strategies (for example concern trolling or sealioning), in other cases either spontaneous or promoted moral outbidding/purity spirals (which are related to virtue signaling) drive groups committed to defending medical freedom into endorsing unsupported theories. In the latest twist on the promoted and weaponized controversy of Germ vs Terrain Theory, various groups are now promoting the logic that there was no pandemic, and there was no SARSCoV-2 virus. This thesis is built on redefinition of the meaning of the term “pandemic” to require global distribution of a highly lethal virus (if not sufficiently lethal, then “no pandemic” or so goes the logic), and a misinterpretation of the correct observation of the widespread misuse of insufficiently specific or contaminated PCR-based testing (often employing excessively high cycle numbers) as demonstrating
that to this group that “all” SARS-CoV -2 viral sequence data is fraudulent. Those promoting these theories are quite evangelistic in their belief, and consistent with the dynamics of moral outbidding and purity spirals attack and reject any who do not endorse their belief systems. Behaving akin to a cult, they typically reject data and alternative definitions or explanations inconsistent with their theories (as well as rejecting and ridiculing those who do not endorse their conclusions). In many cases, these armchair philosopher/epidemiologists find common cause with adjacent cults which deny the existence of all viruses. One consequence is the further alienation and discouragement of moderate, fact and documentation-based discussions and opinions. Another is that any dissenting opinions which differ from
officially approved narratives are more readily cast as biased and unsupporteda strategic guilt by association. And most importantly the movable middle of the current political spectrum is alienated by what is rightfully seen as unsupported extremism. And as if that was not enough, as public interest in COVID wanes, those whose employment and careers have been damaged by speaking out about government, pharmaceutical industry and WHO mismanagement and untruths are now confronting new professional and economic realities. Medical licenses have been revoked, businesses have been destroyed, and employment opportunities have dried up. In many cases, these individuals have gained some degree of fame or notoriety from their dissenting opinions, and may have found ways to monetize this via telemedicine, selling on-line treatments, “praying away the COVID”, or promoting various social media-based business models. But as public interest (Continued on page 14)

‘Divisive:’Biden substitutes fiery campaign speech attacking Trump, justices for State of the Union Bidenattackedhis"predecessor"onabortion, immigration,Russia, guncontrolandCOVIDduringhis StateoftheUnionaddressandevencriticizedtheSupremeCourtjusticeswhoweresittinginthechamber First Amendment.
By Nicholas Ballasy President Biden substituted a fiery campaign speech attacking his 2024 opponent Donald Trump for the State of the Union address on Thursday evening, drawing derision and eyerolls from Republicans in Congress. Biden attacked Trump without mentioning his name — referring to him as his "predecessor" — on abortion, immigration, Russia, gun control and COVID-19 during his third State of the Union and also criticized the Supreme Court justices who were sitting in the chamber. The president's repeated criticism of Trump throughout his Capitol Hill address drew eye rolling and head shaking from House Speaker Mike Johnson, who was seated behind Biden and next to Vice President Kamala Harris. Biden looked in the direction of the Supreme Court justices and criticized their ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, which effectively ended the constitutional right to abortion. "Women are not without electoral power, excuse me, electoral or political power, you're about to realize just how much you brought about," he said. The critique was reminiscent of former President Obama attacking the justices during his 2010 State of the Union speech for their Citizens United ruling, which upheld that corporate funding of independent political broadcasts in elections cannot be limited under the
Biden argued that Trump is "the reason" Roe v. Wade was overturned.
heard one that is such a campaign speech," he said.
"And he brags about it," he said.
Former Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga., said Biden delivered a "divisive angry campaign speech."
Biden also attacked Trump over his response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, described the speech as a "campaign rally."
"My predecessor failed the most basic presidential duty that he owes to the American people, the duty to care. I think that's unforgivable," he said.
Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.V., said the State of the Union is a "great opportunity for a president to deliver a forward thinking and unifying message about the spirit and promise of America."
Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Minn., the House majority whip, described the speech as "one of the most divisive State of the Union addresses in history." Former GOP presidential candidate and Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said the speech sounded like an angry tirade. "What a bizarre ranting and angry tirade from POTUS at SOTU! Is this his idea of unifying America?" he said on social media. "His peeps gave him the wrong meds and he is screaming like an old man 'Get off my lawn!'" Rep. Larry Bucshon, R-Ind., said Biden's address was the 14th State of the Union he has attended. "I have never seen a more partisan campaign speech disguised as a SOTU. It was a speech full of falsehoods, half truths, liberal policy wish lists and revisions of history," he said. CNN's John King said Biden's address was the 36th State of the Union he's watched.
"Tonight, President Biden delivered a divisive and partisan campaign speech," Capito said. "The American people can see through this and are looking for leaders who are ready to solve problems." Rep. Max Miller, R-Ohio, said in a post on X he decided to leave the speech early. "President Biden mentioned President Trump more times than he talked about inflation, the border, or energy prices. This speech wasn’t about the issues Americans are facing. It was a nakedly political campaign speech by a failing president & that’s why I left," he wrote on his X account. Democratic lawmakers praised Biden's speech. "President Biden laid out a bold vision to the American people that shows Democrats are working for a safe, stable, strong America – one that prioritizes the needs of working families and leaves no one behind," said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, DN.Y.
Dr. Malone (Continued from page 13)
has waned, often these individuals or groups have found it necessary to take increasingly strident positions (or to attack others) resulting in an endless spiral of hype and outrage in pursuit of fame and fortune. This is a fundamentally immature and narcissistic response to a foreseeable winding down of this particular weaponized fear/crisis pairing, which could be avoided by focusing on the underlying issues of systemic corruption, the long term consequences of over-reliance on public-private partnerships, globalism, the rise of the censorship-industrial complex itself, and the exploitation of fear to advance political objectives. All of this further alienates the “persuadable middle” of the political spectrum, who can be reached and persuaded by clearly and calmly speaking provable data-based truth and providing “common sense” arguments. And it is with that spirit in mind that recent testimony by a range of domestic and non-US experts was provided at the request of Senator Ron Johnson, an eminently reasonable midwestern businessman (with expertise in manufacturing) who has chosen to remain in the US Senate for another term largely because of his commitment to getting to the bottom of the COVID lies. Some might say that Senator Johnson is naive in his belief that this will make a difference and empower a more informed electorate to influence future public health policies so that we might all avoid another round of similarly arbitrary and capricious mismanagement. I suspect that even the Senator would acknowledge that this may be a labor worthy of Sisyphus, but nevertheless he keeps trying against all odds.
"Never heard one so political. Never
And so long as he is willing to try, I will be proud to serve my country in support of his efforts if again requested to do so. Damn the trolls, full speed ahead.
Confronted by MTG, Biden admits illegal killed Georgia nursing student Laken Riley
The video montage inserted below was prepared by the Senator’s staff as a summary of the many hours of provided testimony.
By Joseph Weber President Biden in his State of the Union address Thursday night acknowledged nursing student Laken Riley was killed by an illegal resident, after being confronted on the matter by firebrand Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. Biden had until tonight been criticized for not publicly acknowledging Riley's death, allegedly by an illegal resident from Venezuela who entered the U.S. in 2022. She was found on the University of Georgia campus late last month. The president in acknowledging Ri-
ley's death held up a pin eulogizing her, reportedly one passed out by Greene, wearing a red jacket and MAGA baseball cap. He argued that so many people are trying to cross illegally into the U.S. – even willing to pay $8,000 for a smuggler to help them – because they think the risk and cost is worth it because they know they won't have to appear in court for months. Then he urged congressional Republicans to pass a bill now on Capitol Hill that would shorten that time, arguing it would disincentivize illegal crossers. "Lincoln Riley, an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal. That’s right,” said Biden, who mispronounced the woman's name. “But how many thousands of people being killed
by illegals? To her parents I say, my heart goes out to you having lost children myself. “But look, if we change the dynamic at the border, people pay these smugglers."
