Easter, 2024 Some of the greatest content of this column comes during executive session during Howe ISD Board of Trustees meetings. That’s when the wit and wisdom of Middle School Principal Clay Wilson truly shines. After a deep discussion of pickle ball and why, for ease, they didn’t make the court and net the same as tennis, in true Cliff Clavin fashion, Wilson stated that it was a little known fact that the game was invented by Peter Pickle and Bill Ball. Tonight is the big night to voice your opposition to the limestone quarry and cement kiln in Dorchester. The meeting is at the Hilton Garden Inn at 5015 US 75 in |Denison. Grayson County will be severely affected by this and hopefully a good crowd shows up tonight.
Dawn Sunday will bring to the world the anniversary of the miracle of alltime—the resurrection of Christ from the dead, that the world might know there is everlasting life and that right will one day rule the world. From the pulpits of Howe area churches, the story of the resurrection will be retold in sermons, in cantatas, and in other musical arrangements, each one dedicated anew to a story that has challenged centuries.

Cora Grace Boutique celebrates grand opening in Howe
Only from the pulpits throughout the world and church classrooms does the true significance of the day still live. Outside the churches, Easter has been made a commercial holiday, a season of festivity, of gay dress and colored eggs. There is nothing in the story of resurrection that calls upon the world to put on its finery to recognize the story back of Easter morning. It’s a story for the most humble man or woman of the streets as (Continued on page 2)

well as for the best dressed, but the modern interpretation of Easter, the modern demand of silken gowns and gay bonnets, keeps from the temples where the story is retold, however, unintentionally, those who cannot measure up to the modern conception of the season. Most churches of the world will be filled Sunday with millions. Among these will be those who support their churches through the year and there will be those who contribute a little. They expect the story of Christ to be retold throughout the year, but overlook the fact that the future of the
church depends upon their support. Throughout the world today, there is persecution equal in agony if not in severity to the crucifixion. Easter this year finds peoples of earth being pushed aside, contrary to the teachings of the one whose rebirth will be observed Sunday. It finds hatred and distrust among men of all nations. And it finds men who are trying to assume the role of masters over people’s lives. The lesson of Easter teaches that however far they may carry their control and their persecution, right will eventually rule. Originally published by Bob Walker as ‘Easter, 1968.’

Street rebuilds (Continued from page 1)
Previously, the council approved four reconstruction plans for the streets of Duke, Quinlan, the stretch of Young Street between Highway 5 and the railroad tracks, and the section of Ponderosa Road in front of Bethel Baptist Church. The street repair budget for 2023-24 was set at $196,000 by Mayor McDonald and this brings the total to $186,059.60 committed in interlocal agreements with Grayson County for the work. Howe also has obtained a Texas De-
partment of Agriculture Community Development Block Grant to repair a sewer line and rebuild of Young Street from Highway 5 to Highway 75, but that work will not begin until the summer of 2025. The city is also in negotiations with a developer to rebuild Young Street on the west side of US 75 (also known as Matthews Road as well as the south end of Smith Road. Hall Cemetery Road was on the tentative list for the 2024-25 project year, but the local farmers’ contribution moved the target date up.
City passes ordinances to prohibit unauthorized entry on city premises and upped the permit fee schedule The City Council of Howe approved Ordinance No. 816 Tuesday which establishes an unauthorized entry on city premises, abandoned property in the city, authorized no parking towaway zones, authorized towing, and established a fee of $500 per occurrence and related clauses. This became an issue when the city received numerous phone calls from citizens regarding trailers and recreational vehicles being parked and left unattended at the police department. In other items, the council authorized an interlocal agreement with Grayson County to rebuild Hall Cemetery Road at a discounted price to the city thanks to the county and local farmers who contributed $30,000. The council approved adding City Administrator Monte Walker to all accounts. They also approved adding Walker and Mayor Karla McDonald as authorized representatives of an account held with Texas Star Bank. Initiated by Mayor McDonald, the council approved to require two signatures for each check written. The council approved to open a noninterest bearing account to hold the funding for an approved Texas Department of Agriculture Texas Community Development Block Grant that is for sewer and street repair on Young Street. The city will also open a “Park Fund” account to house all the park fees associated with Ordinance No. 744 that was originally approved in 2017. The council approved an annual increase in refuse of 5.57 percent that is part of the contract with Frontier Waste Solutions. Walker told the council that the rates to the citizens will not change at this point as the city will absorb the fees. The city is seeking a $200,000 grant from the Texas General Land Office Community Development Block Grant for the updating of the city’s comprehensive plan. The council ap-
proved the procurement process. The council denied a rate increase of 2.2484 percent from the Public Utility Commission of Texas. The council approved a commitment to use WSB, LLC as the engineering firm for the Young Street block grant. The council approved a resolution which continues participation with the steering committee of cities served by Oncor and authorizing a payment of ten cents per capita. Tabled was Resolution 2024-0004 which would have begun the process for the Young Street block grant. Due to questions about policies involving excessive force, Councilman Billie Ingram wanted Howe Police Chief Carl Hudman to review the document before being officially passed. It will again be on the April 16, 2024, agenda. The council passed Ordinance No. 815 which outlines the new permit fee schedule. The last time the fee schedule was updated was in 2009. Walker made comparisons to local municipalities and worked with the City Engineer Nolan Harvey to forge the new schedule which went into effect immediately upon approval. The city, under the direction of Mayor McDonald, has begun to collect park fees outlined in Ordinance No. 744 which are $1,500 per lot as part of a building permit. The city has also begun a trial period of using GPS on several city owned vehicle assets. The goal is to have these on all assets by the next budget year in October. Since the beginning of September, Howe has upgraded all Information Technology systems and servers for the city, added new software systems for the public works department to help expedite service orders and overall productivity. The city’s next upgrade will be to the city secretary and utility software as they have contracted with i3Verticals to upgrade the outdated 2007 software that no longer has adequate support.

Howe ISD to upgrade playground equipment at Howe Intermediate School Howe ISD Superintendent Kevin Wilson stated at Monday’s school board meeting that enrollment was up to 1,292 students at the end of February which was up from January. He said attendance rebounded nicely from the low January numbers and said that February ended with 94.33 percent. He said he accepted resignations from Heather Brown and Michelle Davis. He gave the board a delinquent tax update and stated the collections for the 2022 tax year were 88.63 percent which came to roughly $644,000. The previous year, there were 533 delinquent accounts at $766.000 as opposed to 463 this year at $423,000. That’s a reduction of 13.1 percent which Wilson said was a good year collecting taxes. The board made it official of the cancellation of the 2024 election as there were three seats open for election and only the three incumbents filed to run. The board went into a lengthy discussion on playground equipment at the intermediate school after Wilson told the board that the current equipment that was originally thought to be installed 28 years ago was beyond repair. With funds available in the fund balance, Wilson was authorized to spend up to $400,000 for multiple pieces on the campus and for turf around the playground area at Summit Hill Elementary.
a
Wilson said there were three broken and unusable slides on the intermediate school campus that has become more and more difficult to find replacement parts.
Howe ISD Wilson said Superintendent Kevin his level of Wilson degree of need for the project went up dramatically after inspecting the equipment. “Not only do we have slides that are cracked and broken, but the metal has started to separate and has become rusty,” said Wilson. “This is not cheap, but I promise you it won’t be any cheaper next year if we decide to put it off.” The playground will have swings, slides, and shaded benches for the supervision. With the requirements of the playground to be placed on a cushion, the board chose rubber shards instead of wooden mulch due to the longevity. The turf area at the elementary school will be nylon fabric instead of synthetic due to the longer lasting quality.

Lady Bulldogs lose two games in district play
Howe pitcher Riley McCollum pitches to a Bells hitter on Tuesday. Photo by Michelle Carney. The Howe Lady Bulldogs (9-6-1, 2-4) cannot overcome the error bug as they committed a total of 12 combined errors against Bells and Leonard last week which saw them drop both games and begin to place their proverbial back to the wall in District 11-3A. Howe lost at home to Bells on Tuesday by a score of 5-1 as sophomore Riley McCollum pitched all seven innings, allowing three earned runs on eight hits while striking out 11 and walking one. Howe’s four errors on defense didn’t help things out as Bells scored a single run in all but two innings. Kamry Snapp led the offense with the only two hits for Howe in the game which included a double and a triple. She also scored the lone run. On Friday, the game at Leonard was moved to Princeton due to a wet field. Howe had a 3-2 lead at the end of the third, but eight Lady Bulldog errors led to five unearned runs which did the hometown girls in.

Ryleigh Craven started in the circle and went four innings, allowing two earned runs on three hits. She walked two and struck out four. McCollum came on in relief and pitched two innings, striking out four and only giving up one hit. Howe collected four hits in which Mya Burt collected two of them. Emery Snapp had a double. Burt, Zoey Montgomery and Lexi Leon had RBI. Howe is scheduled to host Pottsboro on Friday, March 29.

Chamber recognizes 903 Brewers for Founders Day partnership
Home Country By Slim Randles— That thick old hide shifted beneath me as I got my handhold in the bull rope. I watched his horns. Looking straight ahead in the chute. So far, so good. You know, just like the jumper said as he passed the 26th floor. And then you find yourself asking the big question: if I take a little more time here in the chute to get set on him, will he start chute fighting? Men have been killed by bulls who fight in the chute. The guys who have had this bull before say he behaves himself pretty well. He’s known to spin to the right about one full jump out of the chute, but I think I can handle that all right. Okay, I’m as set as I’m going to be, so I nod my head and I hear the hinges of the gate squeak as they swing open and I’m climbing. Going up, and when
I get up about as high as I should, I follow this horned monster down. Down to the right as he starts his spin. I loosened just a bit on that first spin, but I hooked that left spur and tried to make it back to where a bull rider belongs. He just spun faster on the next jump, and I tasted dirt without even having the knowledge I’d been bucked off. The bull fighters had him busy with them and it gave me time to get up and limp to the gate. Let the next guy do it. Bull riding the way I do it works out pretty well. I’m safe here in my recliner at home watching the television. Have my dog in my lap and a cold one sitting on the stand next to me. My shirt isn’t even dirty. I’ve done it the other way, a long time ago, and this is much better. And the best part is, my dog doesn’t even know I bucked off.

Texoma Patriots to meetApril 1 Submitted— By Christina Martin— I wanted to let you know of a petition that has been gaining traction in your area. Barbara Thompson, a resident of Whitesboro, TX, has launched a petition on Change.org to prevent the demolition of the historic Texoma Peanut Dryer. To Barbara, the Texoma Peanut Dryer holds immense historical and cultural significance for her town. It has stood as a symbol of her town’s agricultural roots and hardworking spirit for generations. Unfortunately, plans are underway to demolish this iconic landmark, which Barbara believes would not only erase a significant part of her town's history but also disconnect her from her past.
Barbara's petition has already garnered over 100 signatures in just over a week, demonstrating the strong support and desire to preserve this important piece of heritage. As Kelly Wagner, a petition signer and lifelong resident of Whitesboro, expressed, "I'd love to see this preserved! This is a representation of our town and its history. I just can't imagine our town without it." Barbara and her petition signers believe that the Texoma Peanut Dryer deserves to be preserved for future generations to appreciate. If you are interested in covering this story, I’d be happy to provide you with additional information or try to connect you with Barbara, the petition starter, for interview or comment. You can find the petition at www.change.org/Texoma.
The Texoma Patriots will meet on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 7 pm at the Edwards Community Room at 109 S. Britton Street in Tom Bean. The guest speaker will be Ammon Blair, Sr. Fellow at Texas Public Policy Foundation. His topic is how the US government is using food as a weapon in the war against the people. Blair says a food war is brewing and American farmers and ranchers are on the front lines. Family owned farms are the backbone of America. Ninetyeight percent of U.S. farms are operated by families. Eighty-six percent of all U.S. agricultural products are produced on family farms or ranches. The Texoma Patriots say that most people don’t give much thought to where our food is coming from. The backbone of America is being crushed under the weight of the Biden administration’s policies. The Biden administration’s looming tax hikes, incentives to put farmland out of production, and plan to put 30% of all U.S. land and water into conservation by 2030 threaten American farmers’ and ranchers’ way of life, as well as our nation’s food security. The cattle industry is the
final frontier before the ‘Global Elites’ have taken complete control of our food supply through environmental / Ammon Blair climate regulation. Tyson closed six plants in 2023 and plans to now close its Perry, Iowa, pork plant. “We must fight to save the American dream of independence and security,” said Kaaren Teuber of the Texoma Patriots. In an excerpt from Food War: Farmers, Ranchers & Our Food Security, it says “The cost of food is rising constantly causing many to go hungry. Get involved by contacting your representative and telling them that overtaxing American farms, ranches, and businesses will crush the backbone of America.” Blair has over 10 years of experience as a U.S. Border Patrol Agent serving in the Rio Grande Valley Sector, and he is a 20 plus year Army Veteran.

City of Howe SECONDS COUNT IN AN EMERGENCY! That's why the City of Howe has instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System - an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications. This system allows us to telephone all or targeted areas in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action (such as a boil-water notice, missing child or evacuation notices). The system is capable of dialing 60,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers a pre-recorded message describing the situations to a live person or an answering machine in the affected area possibly including instructions requiring action on the part of the recipient. Once the situation is remedied, another call will be placed to the area signaling that the issue has been addressed and that normal activities can be resumed. The following information is required to add a telephone number into the "CodeRED" database: first and last name; address (physical address, no P.O. boxes); city; state; Zip Code; and primary phone number. The system works with cellular phones but requires a valid street address. When entering information, please fill out all of the screens because the newest data entered will replace the old data. Texas History Minute It started with an insurance salesman and one small airplane. From there, it became an aviation empire and one of the most noted names Ken Bridges in Texas aviation. From Braniff Airline’s humble beginnings, Tom Braniff’s story became one of many colorful tales of Texas pilots and businessmen and the quest to conquer the skies.
Braniff bought Bowen Airlines, a small company operating out of Fort Worth.
Thomas Elmer Braniff was born in Salina, Kansas, in December 1883 into a farming family. His father, John Braniff, soon moved into the insurance business and moved the family to Kansas City in the 1890s. The Braniffs were devoted Catholics. The younger Braniff worked a series of jobs while he completed school, including working in a meat-packing plant and working for the Kansas City Star. In 1900, the family moved to Oklahoma City where John Braniff began working for a new insurance agency.
When World War II started, the Braniff brothers stepped up. Paul Braniff, now in his 40s, would serve as a pilot during World War II, while his brother, too old for the military at this point, controlled the airline and his other business interests at home. Tom Braniff donated all of the airline’s DC2 aircraft to the military, which were older but still reliable aircraft, as the airline switched to the DC-3. Braniff also arranged to share their Love Field facilities with the military for maintenance and training of pilots and mechanics.
The younger Braniff soon wanted to branch out and soon started his own insurance agency west of Oklahoma City at the age of 17. However, his firm went bankrupt when a tornado wiped out a nearby community where Braniff had sold tornado insurance and was unable to pay the claims. He soon returned to Oklahoma City and started a new firm with a partner. The new firm struggled in its early years, but by 1917, he was able to buy out his partner. He expanded into Braniff Investments shortly afterward and soon had one of the most successful insurance agencies in the region.
After World War II, Braniff began routes throughout Central America and the Caribbean. They also expanded steadily across the Midwest. In 1952, he bought Mid-Continent Airlines. By this point, the airline dream that had started with one used plane now had a fleet of 75 aircraft, 400 pilots, and 4,000 employees. By the mid-1950s, it was the tenth largest airline in the country. However, Thomas Braniff died tragically in a private plane crash near Shreveport in 1954 at the age of 70. His brother Paul died a few months later from cancer.
By the 1920s, Braniff was looking to the future. In 1923, he built the T. E. Braniff Building in Oklahoma City, a 10-story building that was the first skyscraper in Oklahoma. He also became fascinated with aviation, and his younger brother Paul already had a license and his own airplane. In 1927, Braniff and a group of investors bought a used airplane and began the Oklahoma Aero Club, beginning a flight school, air taxi service, and selling aircraft parts. In 1928, bought out his partners and started an airline, with his brother Paul as president and the main pilot and himself as vicepresident, calling it Paul R. Braniff, Inc. It served a single route between Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
The airline he founded continued for several more years and was a staple in Dallas aviation. By 1955, the company’s payroll reached $22 million (more than $240 million in modern dollars), and the airline built a new terminal at Love Field in 1958. The number of passengers and the miles flown by passengers increased steadily into the mid-1960s. The company went through a series of buyouts in the 1960s but remained profitable well into the 1970s. In 1978, when the federal government deregulated airline routes, Braniff executives attempted to take advantage of it by buying a series of new aircraft and starting new routes. However, the new routes were not as profitable, and the company started losing money rapidly.
The next year, the first Braniff Airlines was sold, but in 1930, the two started again, with Braniff Airways serving routes from Oklahoma City to either Tulsa or Wichita Falls. In 1935, he expanded deeper into Texas by buying Long and Harmon Airlines, a small airline based in Dallas that also had routes to Amarillo, Brownsville, and Galveston. More importantly, this smaller airline also had a lucrative air mail contract, guaranteeing paid service to these different cities. In 1936,
In spite of his growing success, he met with tragedy. In 1938, his son died in an airplane crash. He continued to move forward nevertheless. By the late 1930s, the airline was now based in Dallas, offering up to 8 flights per day out of Dallas Love Field, contributing to the airport’s growing success. Most maintenance operations were also conducted in Dallas by this point.
Braniff Airlines ultimately went bankrupt by 1982, a victim of increased competition, fuel prices, and a botched expansion attempt that left it deep in debt. New buyers attempted to resurrect the airline in 1984, mostly with staff from the old Braniff, but this effort failed by 1989. A second attempt to revive the airline started in 1991 but failed the next year. Braniff Airways Foundation, a charity started by the airline, still works to promote the history of aviation.

A person is only as true as their word We live in an age that tends to shrug its shoulders when confronted with spreading information that is not Dr. Billy Holland true. Instead of asking, like Pilate, “What is truth?” the postmodern man says, “Truth is relevant to each individual” or perhaps “There might be truth somewhere, but we cannot know it.” Those of us who follow Christ realize that not being ashamed of speaking lies is another dangerous deception that much of our progressive culture has accepted as normal. God is an absolute true reality. He is perfect in all of His ways, He cannot lie. Our human nature is infected with depravity and unless our carnality is controlled we can think bad things and speak lies without blinking an eye. Let us beware of becoming numb to sin. In the book of James the first chapter, it speaks of how someone might seem to be a Godly person, but if they do not bridle their tongue, their religion is in vain. The idea here is that the mouth reveals what is in the mind and the heart. If the words are corrupt, this is proof that the conscience has not been renewed through the transforming power of Christ. Integrity is embracing the truth about ourselves, honesty always speaks the truth to everyone else. Our pastor recently taught on the commandment of Thou shalt not bear false witness. Of course, anytime something is said that is not true, it is a lie whether intentional or not. There is the old downright and dirty lie that is meant to cause intentional harm, but it doesn’t have to be a bald-faced lie to be a falsehood. There is no such thing as a harmless lie? A sobering component of being honest is that many people even Christians tend to not be transparent with others, themselves, or God. Have you ever called in sick to stay home from work and were not sick? Have you ever exaggerated about anything including your taxes? When you tell a story do you add extra details that you just made up? We have broken all the commandments because each one deals with issues of the soul.
Is there such a thing as a white lie? Have you ever tried to cover your tracks with lies to prevent being exposed? Do you distort your abilities and accomplishments to appear more successful than you are? Have you ever spread rumors and speculations about other people to tear down their integrity? I believe that most of us at some time or another have told things that are not true for some reason, but one thing is sure, no amount of lies can change the truth. God knows. Then we have the case of not speaking the truth when we have the opportunity. This is called a sin of omission. Shouldn’t a Christian desire to be honest and the first one to declare truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help us God? The thought for today is not only about us telling the truth, it’s also about us believing the truth. If we desire to speak the truth, we must know what it is. Do we love the truth? Is understanding truth important to us? Sadly we’ve grown accustomed to being lied to, and many have become comfortable with the false notion that it's a normal response to be dishonest. We witness the biased attitude of some media outlets as they report a news event. It’s not the truth that’s important to many people, it’s how information can be twisted to support a certain agenda. How often do we ask God to reveal His truth to us? What about seeking God to let us see ourselves the way He sees us? Can we “handle” the truth? Have you considered that some people love their deception so much that it's now a part of who they are? It’s interesting how we are ready to drink any lie that flatters us but reluctantly sip at truth that makes us feel ashamed. Even though Jesus in John 8:32 said that within the word of God, we can know the truth and it will set us free, it’s evident that many people are more comfortable and secure living within the fantasies of their illusions. All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered and accepted, but who will remove their mask and deal with the dishonesty and deception within themselves? The Patriot Pony THE UNITED STATES BECAMEAFOREIGN CORPORATION IN 1871 By Lisa Guliani, 2002 Fourth of July 2002 has come and gone, and Americans honored the holiday with a renewed patriotic fervor that reminded me of the Bicentennial celebrations of 1976. As is customary, traditional fireworks displays took center stage and scores of people turned out to witness the dazzling show in the summer sky. With mixed feelings, I sat with friends on a crowded Pennsylvania sidewalk beneath a glittering, mesmerizing explosion of color, pondering the keen sense of sadness and betrayal that overwhelmed my spirit. Looking around at the huge crowds gathered for the annual events, I thought silently, “We are not free.” In truth, we have not been a free people for a very long time. We celebrate this day in honor of our “independence”. We call ourselves a free people in a land of liberty. Our anthems proudly sing the praises of this nation, and we raise our voices, wave our flags and join in song — but how many Americans realize they are not free? This is a myth perpetuated by the powers-that-be in order to avoid any major civil unrest, and to keep us all living under the thumb of a militaristic corporate Big Brother within the illusions that have been created for us. The truth of the matter is this: what freedom has not been stolen from us, we have surrendered willingly through our silence and ignorance. As Americans, most of us have no idea how our freedoms are maintained — or lost. Apparently, our ancestors didn’t have a good grasp of this either. It is sad, but it is also very true. Don’t point to that beloved parchment, the Constitution, as a symbol of your enduring freedom. It is representative of a form of government which seemingly no longer exists in this country today. The Constitution has been thrown out the window, the Republic shoved aside and replaced with a democracy. The thing is; most people in this country remain unaware that this is so because they simply do not know
the truth — what lies beyond the myths. Your so-called government is not going to tell you, either.
ers) who were intent upon gaining a stranglehold on the neck (and the coffers) of America.
To even begin to understand what has happened to the Republic, we must look backward in time to the period following the Civil War. We must go back to the year 1871, which was the beginning of the decline of the Republic. When we examine what happened during that time in our history, we begin to piece together this troubling, perplexing puzzle that is “America” — only then should we answer as to whether we are indeed a “free” people or not.
The Congress realized our country was in dire financial straits, so they cut a deal with the international bankers — (in those days, the Rothschilds of London were dipping their fingers into everyone’s pie) thereby incurring a DEBT to said bankers. If we think about banks, we know they do not just lend us money out of the goodness of their hearts. A bank will not do anything for you unless it is entirely in their best interest to do so. There has to be some sort of collateral or some string attached which puts you and me (the borrower) into a subservient position. This was true back in 1871 as well. The conniving international bankers were not about to lend our floundering nation any money without some serious stipulations. So, they devised a brilliant way of getting their foot in the door of the United States (a prize they had coveted for some time, but had been unable to grasp thanks to our Founding Fathers, who despised them and held them in check), and thus, the Act of 1871 was passed.
So, let’s roll backward into the past for a moment. It is time we learned what they didn’t teach us in school. It is far more interesting than what they DID tell us. I think you’ll stay awake for this lesson. The date is February 21, 1871 and the Forty-First Congress is in session. I refer you to the “Acts of the FortyFirst Congress,” Section 34, Session III, chapters 61 and 62. On this date in the history of our nation, Congress passed an Act titled: “An Act To Provide A Government for the District of Columbia.” This is also known as the “Act of 1871.” What does this mean? Well, it means that Congress, under no constitutional authority to do so, created a separate form of government for the District of Columbia, which is a ten mile square parcel of land. What??? How could they do that? Moreover, WHY would they do that? To explain, let’s look at the circumstances of those days. The Act of 1871 was passed at a vulnerable time in America. Our nation was essentially bankrupt — weakened and financially depleted in the aftermath of the Civil War. The Civil War itself was nothing more than a calculated “front” for some pretty fancy footwork by corporate backroom players. It was a strategic maneuver by European interests (the international bank-
In essence, this Act formed the corporation known as THE UNITED STATES. Note the capitalization, because it is important. This corporation, owned by foreign interests, moved right in and shoved the original “organic” version of the Constitution into a dusty corner. With the “Act of 1871,” our Constitution was defaced in the sense that the title was blockcapitalized and the word “for” was changed to the word “of” in the title. The original Constitution drafted by the Founding Fathers, was written in this manner: “The Constitution for the united states of America”. The altered version reads: “THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”. It is the corporate constitution. It is NOT the same document you might think it is.
The corporate constitution operates in an economic capacity and has been used to fool the People into thinking it is the same parchment that governs the Republic. It absolutely is not. Capitalization — an insignificant change? Not when one is referring to the context of a legal document, it isn’t. Such minor alterations have had major impacts on each subsequent generation born in this country. What the Congress did with the passage of the Act of 1871 was create an entirely new document, a constitution for the government of the District of Columbia. The kind of government THEY created was a corporation. The new, altered Constitution serves as the constitution of the corporation, and not that of America. Think about that for a moment. Incidentally, this corporate constitution does not benefit the Republic. It serves only to benefit the corporation. It does nothing good for you or me — and it operates outside of the original Constitution. Instead of absolute rights guaranteed under the “organic” Constitution, we now have “relative” rights or privileges. One example of this is the Sovereign’s right to travel, which has been transformed under corporate government policy into a “privilege” which we must be licensed to engage in. This operates outside of the original Constitution. So, Congress committed TREASON against the People, who were considered Sovereign under the Declaration of Independence and the organic Constitution. When we consider the word “Sovereign,” we must think about what the word means. According to Webster’s Dictionary, “sovereign” is defined as: 1. chief or highest; supreme. 2. Supreme in power, superior in position to all others. 3. Independent of, and unlimited by, any other, possessing or entitled to, original and independent authority or jurisdiction. (Continued on page 15)

Act of 1871 (Continued from page 14)
In other words, our government was created by and for “sovereigns” — the free citizens who were deemed the highest authority. Only the People can be sovereign — remember that. Government cannot be sovereign. We can also look to the Declaration of Independence, where we read: “government is subject to the consent of the governed” — that’s supposed to be us, the sovereigns. Do you feel like a sovereign nowadays? I don’t. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist or a constitutional historian to figure out that this is not what is happening in our country today. Government in these times is NOT subject to the consent of the governed. Rather, the governed are subject to the whim and greed of the corporation, which has stretched its tentacles beyond the ten-mile-square parcel of land known as the District of Columbia — encroaching into every state of the Republic. Mind you, the corporation has NO jurisdiction outside of the District of Columbia. THEY just want you to think it does. You see, you are presumed to know the law. This is ironic because as a people, we are taught basically nothing about the law in school. We are made to memorize obscure factoids and paragraphs here and there, such as the Preamble, and they gloss over the Bill of Rights. But we are not told about the law. Nor do our corporate government schools delve into the Constitution in any great depth. After all, they were put into place to indoctrinate and dumb down the masses — not to teach us anything. We were not told that we were sold-out to foreign interests and made beneficiaries of the debt incurred by Congress to the international bankers. For generations, American citizens have had the bulk of their earnings confiscated to pay on a massive debt that they, as a People, did not incur. There are many, many things the People have not been told. How do you feel about being made a beneficiary of somebody else’s massive debt without your knowledge or consent? Are we gonna keep going along with this?? When you hear some individuals say that the Constitution is null and void, think about how our government has transformed over time from a municipal or service-oriented entity to a corporate or profit-oriented entity. We are living under the myth that this is lawful, but it is not. We are being ruled by a “de facto,” or unlawful, form of government — the corporate body of the death-mongers — The Controllers. With the passage of the Act of 1871, a series of subtle and overt deceptions were set in motion — all in conjunction and collusion with the Congress, who knowingly and deliberately sold the People down the river. Did they tell you this in government school? I doubt it. They were too busy drumming the fictional version of history into your brain — and mine. By fail-

The Patriot Pony ing to disclose what THEY did to the American People, the people became ignorant of what was happening. Over time, the Republic took it on the chin to the point of a knockdown. With the surrender of their gold in 1933, the People essentially surrendered their law. I don’t suppose you were taught THAT in school either. That’s because our REAL history is hidden from us. This is the way Roman Civil Law works — and our form of governance today is based upon Roman Civil Law and Admiralty/Maritime Law — better known as the “Divine Right of Kings” and “Law of the Seas”, respectively. This explains a lot. Roman Civil Law was fully established in the original colonies even before our nation began and is also known as private international law. The government which was created for the District of Columbia via the Act of 1871 operates under Private International Law, and not Common Law, which was the law of the Constitutional Republic. This is very important to note since it impacts all Americans in concrete ways. You must recognize that private international law is only applicable within the District of Columbia and NOT in the other states of the Union. The various arms of the corporation are known as “departments” such as the Judiciary, Justice and Treasury. You recognize those names? Yes, you do! But they are not what you assume them to be. These “departments” all belong to the corporation known as THE UNITED STATES. They do NOT belong to you and me under the corporate constitution and its various amendments that operate outside of the Constitutional Republic. I refer you to the UNITED STATES CODE (note the capitalization, indicating the corporation, not the Republic) Title 28 3002 (15) (A) (B) (C). It is stated unequivocally that the UNITED STATES is a corporation. Realize, too, that the corporation is not a separate and distinct entity from the government. It IS the government. YOUR government. This is extremely important. I refer to this as the “corporate empire of the UNITED STATES,” which operates under Roman Civil Law outside of the Constitution. How do you like being ruled by a cheesy, sleazy corporation? You’ll ask your Congressperson about this, you say? HA!! Congress is fully aware of this deception. You must be made aware that the members of Congress do NOT work for you and me. Rather, they work for the Corporation known as THE UNITED STATES. Is this really any surprise to you? This is why we can’t get them to do anything on our behalf or to answer to us — as in the case with the illegal income tax — among many other things. Contrary to popular belief, they are NOT our civil servants. They do NOT work for us. They are the servants of the corporate government and carry out its bidding. Period. The great number of committees and sub-committees that the Congress has
created all work together like a multiheaded monster to oversee the various corporate “departments.” And, you should know that every single one of these that operates outside the District of Columbia is in violation of the law. The corporate government of the UNITED STATES has no jurisdiction or authority in ANY state of the Republic beyond the District of Columbia. Let this sink into your brain for a minute. Ask yourself, “Could this deception REALLY have occurred without the full knowledge and complicity of the Congress?” Do you think it happened by accident? You are deceiving yourself if you do. There are no accidents or coincidences. It is time to confront the truth and awaken from ignorance. Your legislators will not apprise you of this information. You are presumed to know the law. THEY know you don’t know the law, or your history for that matter, because this information has not been taught to you. No concerted effort has been made to inform you. As a Sovereign, you are entitled to full disclosure of the facts. As a slave, you are entitled to nothing other than what the corporation decides to “give” you — at a price. Be wary of accepting socalled “benefits” of the corporation of the UNITED STATES. Aren’t you enslaved enough already? I said (above) that you are presumed to know the law. Still, it matters not if you don’t in the eyes of the corporation. Ignorance of the law is not considered an excuse. It is your responsibility and your obligation as an American to learn about the law and how it applies to you. THEY count on the fact that most people are too uninterested or distracted or lazy to do so. The People have been mentally conditioned to allow the alleged government to do their thinking for them. We need to turn that around if we are to save our Republic before it is too late. The UNITED STATES government is basically a corporate instrument of the international bankers. This means YOU are owned by the corporation from birth to death. The corporate UNITED STATES also holds ownership of all your assets, your property, and even your children. Does this sound untrue? Think long and hard about all those bills you pay, all those various taxes and fines and licenses you must pay for. Yes, they’ve got you by the pockets. Actually, they’ve had you by the ass for as long as you’ve been alive. In your heart, you know it’s true. Don’t believe any of this? Read up on the 14th Amendment.
Check out how “free” you really are. With the Act of 1871 and subsequent legislation such as the purportedly ratified 14th Amendment, our once-great nation of Sovereigns has been subverted from a Republic to a democracy. As is the case under Roman Civil Law, our ignorance of the facts has led to our silence. Our silence has been construed as our consent to become beneficiaries of a debt we did not incur. The Sovereign People have been deceived for hundreds of years into thinking they remain free and independent, when in actuality we continue to be slaves and servants of the corporation. Treason was committed against the People in 1871 by the Congress. This could have been corrected through the decades by some honest men (assuming there were some), but it was not, mainly due to lust for money and power. Nothing new there. Are we to forgive and justify this crime against the People? You have lost more freedom than you may realize due to corporate infiltration of the so-called government. We will lose more unless we turn away from a democracy that is the direct road to disaster — and restore our Constitutional Republic. In an upcoming article, we’ll take a closer look at the purportedly ratified 14th Amendment and how we became “property” of the corporation and enslaved by our silence. I am saddened to think about the brave men and women who were killed in all the wars and conflicts instigated by the Controllers. These courageous souls fought for the preservation of ideals they believed to be true — not for the likes of a corporation. Do you believe that any one of the individuals who have been killed as a result of war would have willingly fought if they knew the full truth? Do you think one person would have laid down his life for a corporation? I think not. If the People had known long ago to what extent their trust had been betrayed, I wonder how long it would have taken for another Revolution. What we need is a Revolution in THOUGHT. We change our thinking and we change our world. Will we ever restore the Republic? That is a question I cannot answer yet. I hope, and most of all — pray — that WE, the Sovereign People, will work together in a spirit of cooperation to make it happen in this lifetime. I know I will give it my best shot — come what may. Our children deserve their rightful legacy — the liberty our (Continue Reading…)
