HOMES FOR HEROES Homes for Heroes is a program that offers savings and discounts for invaluable members of the community. It's a way of saying thank you. It is a shout out to firefighters, EMT, Military, Peace/Police Officers, Teachers, and Healthcare Workers.

Staging for Success Potential is the name of the game here in real-estate. A good home displays attractiveness, finesse, and a sense of purpose in order to evoke response. In fact, it's a lot like a first date. Someone met your house online and now they are ready to explore the "what could be."

The first and most important step to the home dating process is eliminating belongings and clutter that mask your home's natural beauty. Showing too much at once is overwhelming and distracting. Keep it simple. Then you can have some fun with rearranging the furniture in each room. Let it speak to you. It should say something along the lines of "I'm open minded, let's get to know one another." Dress your home to impress by lighting candles and decorating. Use lighting to create a welcoming ambiance. Last, remember that nothing says rejection more than a space that needs repair. Take the time to let go of the past by fixing and improving damaged areas. A home with strong qualities and attractive aesthetics makes for a promising second date. Who knows, if a special someone likes it enough they may just call it their own!

Nothing makes or break a neighborhood like the quality of relationship with the people living around you. As we observed during the movie Neighbors -featuring a house full of wild college students living next door to a newlywed couple and infant- uncourteous neighbors can mean war. However, if things are done right a neighborhood can be a close nit community buzzing with helping hands, joy, and activity. The easiest way to create a healthy relationship with your neighbors is by communicating! You don’t have to spend hours chatting in your driveway either. A simple introduction and frequent hello is an invitation to create peace. This way, if conflict arises you have already established a basis that welcomes communication and mitigation. Potential issues that often spark conflict includes parking and noise. People should be aware of the topics to ensure they do not cross boundaries of mutual respect in the neighborhood. On the flip side, if a neighbor’s barking dog is keeping you up at night- talk to them. The owner may not know it is a nuisance. It is always best to give your neighbor a chance to handle a problem. Be proud of your community! It is never too late to make your neighborhood a better place.
