Eaglet update in the backcountry There is one baby golden eagle in the nest. Izzy is the winning name from our Facebook contest. She is all white with big black eyes and a beak that just turned from black to yellow. She is already as big as a crow and growing fast. This is a very sensitive time. If people approach the nest, the eaglet could jump from the nest and would most likely die. Please be respectful of the rules. The Whale’s name is... flip flop The community entered more than 150 names for the new whale at the Westridge outdoor pool. The winner after a web poll of the top four names is Flip Flop, submitted by Emily Markle, age five.
