Advancement
A culture of giving back It is a firmly established tradition that former students give something back to their university, both in terms of goodwill and financially. This is how a number of projects arose, such as the HSG Alumni House. Your annual membership fee also directly supports a variety of student initiatives – from the University Orchestra to TEDxHSG and the START Summit.

Advancement
Pass on your experience through mentoring More and more HSG graduates are getting involved as student mentors. Currently, there are over 500 of them. Students and alumni alike benefit from sharing experiences. It would delight us if you would mentor one or more students when the next cycle of our programme gets under way in the autumn.

About HSG Alumni
A global organisation HSG Alumni builds bridges between former students, the University and its present-day students. The Executive Board and over ten office staff provide our members with a variety of services, joining forces with dedicated presidents and committee members of our clubs and chapters around the world.
“University of St. Gallen alumni have an extensive tradition of lifelong dedication to their alma mater. This is evident not only from the fact that many alumni get involved in student mentoring, supporting practical projects or giving lectures and guest talks. Quite a few also commit themselves financially to the advancement of HSG. This HSG culture is unique.” Prof. Dr. Thomas Bieger, President, University of St. Gallen
“I am proud of HSG Alumni’s standing as one of the strongest academic communities in Europe. We all know how important a network with a shared set of values is today. In a digital society, such networks will grow more important still. Each one of us can contribute to our community and hence to the development of HSG.” Dr. Urs Landolf, President, HSG Alumni
“The HSG Alumni community thrives thanks to our active members and the dedication of our clubs and chapters. This is a great foundation that we all need to cherish and nurture. It pleases me to also spark enthusiasm for our unique community among young graduates.” Daniel Knus, Managing Director, HSG Alumni
