S HANNON ’ S SN I P P ET I invite you to jump in and be open to giving support to, and receiving support from, one another because together we are better!

A

s I write this, we are less than a week away from the first Husker football game of the season. I’m excited for what the year will bring, but also know that there will be hard work, ups and downs and corrections needed to stay on course. We can take some lessons from this as it is true for our own businesses as well. I hope you participated in the Brokerage Climate Survey (for those of you in the Brokerages!) - more information on the results will be out soon. This really does help us understand how we are doing and what could be better to create the best environment for you. Look for more opportunities to provide regular feedback, since your ideas and opinions are critical to our success. We are here to help you succeed, whether that means working with you to set goals, helping provide accountability for the activities that will lead to that success, or working with you to understand the tools and processes that will make you more effective. Ultimately, it is the connections with one another, our clients and our families that create the environment for our success and well-being. I ask and invite you to jump in and be open to both giving and receiving support to one another because together we are better! The next opportunity for us to gather and share and fellowship is THIS SEPTEMBER 12th (11th for our all employee meeting) - come learn, share and have some fun. And then bring back the whole family for an evening at the Zoo, starting at 5:30 p.m. on the 12th. I appreciate all you do to support and embody our core values of GRATITUDE, INNOVATION, LEADERSHIP, EXCELLENCE and INTEGRITY. You are an amazing group of people and I am blessed to work with you. Regards,

Shanon R Harner, CEO One family, One team, One goal.

Ninja Selling made me realize practicing gratitude made me pay more attention to what I am thankful for, but it hasn’t been easy. We are all faced with so many things that pull us in different directions and take us off track. When this happens, showing gratitude seems to drop to the bottom of the to-do list so you can get the “important” tasks done.

any studies are beginning to show that gratitude can improve your health. Some have associated gratitude with the benefit of improved sleep, counteracting depression and fewer aches and pains. In April, I had the opportunity to attend a four-day Ninja Selling workshop. One of the first things we learned was that mindset is a critical element in leading a successful business and a successful life. By starting my day with gratitudes and affirmations, I could set the tone for a positive mindset every day. During the training classes, we had homework which included positive reading, writing our gratitudes, sending personal notes and making phone calls. It was a GLORIOUS week! My co-workers were asking

This month I’m celebrating my 17-year anniversary with HomeServices of Nebraska and I didn’t want to miss crossing a very important task off my list. I want all of you to know the role you have played in my life is immeasurable. I’m grateful for your help and continued support. No other company can offer the best perk I have here – amazing colleagues like YOU!
