MĀNAWATIA A MATARIKI!
As of 2022, we embark on a new chapter of Matariki with the same traditions and new audiences. At the heart of Matariki, is the mātauranga of our ancestors that we carry into the future. People will be looking for guidance on how they can participate in these traditions. This collection will give readers insight into traditional Māori knowledge, practices and values through stories of whānau, tikanga, astronomy, navigation and our natural world. We invite you to learn, reflect and find joy in the stories of Matariki.
