Dining in Old Town doesn’t get any hipper than when doing so in the Historic Eagle House (est.1888), Eureka’s iconic Victorian that houses two of the hottest restaurants in Humboldt.

Step back in time when walking into Tavern 1888, sip an Old Fashioned while relaxing in a cushy leather chair, dine on elevated coastal cuisine while having great conversation with locals & travelers from the in-house boutique Inn at 2nd & C. You’ll never want to leave, except to wander into the grand theater ballroom with it’s stained glass ceiling, then through the sliding barn doors of Phatsy Kline’s Parlor Lounge & Library bar where the hand crafted cocktails will tickle your tastebuds and the tapas style small plates and delicious desserts are pleasing to the palate. Both restaurants take pride in sharing a seasonal menu that is house made, market fresh, locally sourced and organic whenever possible, and feature craft cocktails, West Coast wines and Humboldt County microbrews. Providing dining seven days a week, Tavern 1888 is open Thursday through Monday, 5-10pm and Phatsy’s is open Tuesday through Saturday, 4-10:30pm.
