We are an ecumenical group who meet on a Thursday evening at various members’ homes. It is a “light hearted” group who discuss a Christian reading, sing songs (some of them new) and pray about any item of concern. It is not a Bible study group. Who not join us to meet new people, learn more about the Christian faith and enjoy fellowship. Transport can be arrange should you not have access to a car. Please see John or Wendy for further details.
Mission Action Plan News Parish Magazines Some old Parish magazines were returned to St. Michael’s by the family of the late Margaret and Gladys Watson. They have been found to be duplicates of what we already have. They range from 1898 – 1909 and are not in particularly good condition, as they smell and have been damp. If anyone would like one (some or all) – they make interesting reading then please see Kath Barker. Pease do not return them to Church, pass them on or just dispose of them carefully. Thank you.
As you know the plan was launched on Sunday 15th July and our challenge now is to work on various parts of the plan. Please keep an eye on this part of the pew sheet for updates on developments…. The first change is on the first Sunday of the month and this starts in September, i.e. Sunday, 2nd September - 8.30 a.m. Holy Communion (said at St. Michael’s) followed by tea/coffee and croissants. This service enables our Sunday School teachers and confirmed younger folk to join us for communion and light breakfast – open to all 10:00 Special Service of Morning Prayer with the Flower Club. 4 p.m. Evening prayer at St. Gabriel’s.
