Graham & Margaret
East Ardsley Village Gala – Saturday, 14th July from 1 – 4 p.m.
As you know we have not seen a great deal of Graham and Margaret over the past few months. Graham has been taking time out as he prepares for retirement and part of this has been finding out about his future after retirement. Graham has asked me to pass on their thanks for the fellowship they have shared with us at St. Michael’s over several years. We are also thankful for Graham and Margaret’s fellowship and support of the worship and ministry at St. Michael’s, therefore there is an opportunity to make a donation towards a leaving gift for Graham and Margaret. Further details to follow.
It is planned to have a St. Michael’s stall at the Gala with various leaflets, booklets etc. for folks to take about the life of the church and it is also an opportunity to chat to folks from across the village. If you could spare an hour or half an hour to be at the stall to help then please speak to Glenn – thanks.
Celebration Service – 15th July 10 a.m. – with Archdeacon Paul followed by lunch together. As you know we have been involved in the course ‘Leading your Church into Growth’ for several months now and many thanks to everybody who have contributed in any way. To mark the next stage of our journey we have our Archdeacon Paul Ayers with us to celebrate and preach on Sunday, 15th July at 10 a.m. This service will be an opportunity for us to give thanks for the many blessings we receive in and through the life of St. Michael’s and to launch our action plan for the next few years in the life of our church. There will be a lunch in the Church Hall after the Service. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to share food and fellowship together. As we do not eat together like this very often we have asked an outside caterer to provide the food so you just need to stay on after the service. Please sign up at the back of Church so we have an idea of numbers, thanks.
