Welcome Business North Harbour welcomes you to our first conference. The bi-annual conference was developed to provide North Harbour business owners with access to specialists and experts within specific business areas. The conference will also serve to help our businesses collaborate with one another, encourage ongoing communication and create the opportunity for new business connections. Based on interest from our membership survey, our first conference is planned around Organisational Development – exploring how to attract and retain the right talent, and comply with human resources requirements. We want to celebrate this specialist field and show businesses how this function is a key tool to their organisational development success. This conference will equip you with the knowledge and expert advice to help align your business vision with the skills within your team. Our keynote speakers will share practical ways to engage your staff and show how, as a team, you can deliver your business targets.

We asked you to evaluate where your business has come from and where you see it going in the next 2 years, before coming to this conference. We also suggested that you should think about how you can achieve your goals and who you need to take with you on your journey. Today, our speakers will address these topics. You will hear from Diane Edwards as she sets the tone for the day and talks you through practical steps to utilise your team and hit the target on your organisational goals. Our exhibitors are here to provide advice on training, software, legal advice, payroll services, recruitment, and health and wellness, and to help you communicate better within your business. We have all the exhibitors’ information and contact details in this booklet, so be sure to make the most of your time and visit every stand. We hope you enjoy your day!
