Astronomy Night: The growing problem of light pollution

Join Jeffrey Russell as we follow four soldiers from the New Zealand Mounted Rifles in the battle of Ayun Kara using letters, diaries and excerpts from official military histories to tell the story through their eyes. All welcome.
Hear from Lee Mauger (Martinborough Dark Sky Society) about the latest research on the impacts of light pollution and how the Wairarapa is looking to mitigate these problems through the creation of an International Dark Sky Reserve.

Ngaio Marsh Awards judge Stephanie Soper will prosecute the offenders.
