Wainuiomata – Wellington’s Water Supply 20 Feb, 2pm Wainuiomata Library Wainuiomata was a sleepy, rural backwater, ‘out of sight, out of mind’. But it all changed in the 1880s, when Wainuiomata became a major water source for the region.
We'll be closed: Waitangi Day All Libraries and Hubs will be closed on Saturday 6 February (Waitangi Day) and Monday 8 February (Waitangi Day Observed).
Join President of the Wainuiomata History Society, Gavin Wallace, for a look at 140 years of this important resource.
