WWI Peace Celebrations in the Hutt Valley Saturday 28 July, 1pm Petone Library World War One officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on 28 June 1919. Communities throughout New Zealand celebrated this event in various ways. Find out how the people of Lower Hutt marked the occasion with our Local History Specialist, Clark Stiles.
