Beyond the Page Festival (6-21 July) Beyond the Page is a collaboration between five public libraries in the Wellington region working together to offer a huge range of FREE events for tamariki and their whÄ nau during the July school holidays. Top winners will also have the opportunity to display their build at the Wellington LEGO® show in September! Your scene needs to fit within a space 28cm x 20cm but can be as tall as you want. WWI Peace Celebrations in the Hutt Valley Saturday 28 July, 1pm Petone Library World War One officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on 28 June 1919. Communities throughout New Zealand celebrated this event in various ways. Find out how the people of Lower Hutt marked the occasion with our Local History Specialist, Clark Stiles.
