Child Safety Workshop with Dr Amy Tiemann War Memorial Library Thursday 19 March, 6:30-8pm Doing Right by Our Kids author Dr Amy Tiemann gives an interactive talk and workshop about child safety, abuse prevention, and how to solve other safety problems such as bullying. Amy will combine information from her book with a demonstration of Kidpower 'People Safety Skills' for safety and independence. This is an event for parents, caregivers and children. Copies of Doing Right by Our Kids will be available for purchase.


Pass It On: Gujarati Cookbook War Memorial Library Saturday 21 March, 2pm Local mum and daughter authors Shobha and Keryn Kalyan created Pass It On, the beautiful Indian Gujarati cookbook full of vibrant family recipes that have been passed down generations. Shobha and Keryn are excited to 'pass it on' to you to share the secrets of their deliciously authentic cuisine. There'll also be a live cooking demonstration, along with a book signing so you can get your very own autographed copy. A percentage of profit made during this event will also go towards supporting Dementia Wellington.
