World Space Week! The Science Space There's no limit to the amazing things you'll find in space. Join the Victoria University of Wellington outreach team as we build a recipe for comets, take a crack at creating craters, and establish the Hutt Valley’s very own Rocketlab. Stargaze during the day! The Sun is the star at the centre of our solar system. The Wellington Astronomical Society will set up special solar telescopes for you to view the Sun safely - see if you can find sunspots and solar flares! Monday 28 September, 10.30am-1pm Recycle vinyl records to create wall art with the help of Tape Art NZ in a free, relaxed workshop. Learn how to use paint and tape stencil, paint 'dotting' and paint pen to make a work for your wall. Ages 7+

Thursday 1 October, 2-4pm Weave an exploding craft stick bomb and make a boomerang‌ What other things can you do with craft sticks? All ages (under-7s must be accompanied by an adult)

Get Moving with KSV

Thursday 1 October, 10am-12pm (ages 0-5: 10-11am, ages 5-10: 11am-12pm) A minimovers session combined with sports and active games.
