Going Up or Going Down? The Hutt Valley in a Big Earthquake 17 January, 6pm War Memorial Library

We’ll provide the bubbles; all we need is you! If you have your own special bubble mix or maker, bring them along. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the lawn after the fun and remember to slip, slop, slap and wrap before coming!

Fault rupture, strong ground shaking, liquefaction, sinking, and landslides. Find out what the Hutt Valley faces in a large earthquake with Russ Van Dissen, an earthquake specialist who has extensively studied the Wellington Fault for the past several decades.
