Help your child get a head start by joining other parents and their little ones for companionship, fun, and interaction.
Introducing children to stories from a very young age gives them a valuable boost before starting school.
ACTIVITY CORNER Here’s an activity we use often during Baby Bounce and Rhyme! The rhymes and songs we use in this programme help to stimulate pre-literacy skills for your baby. RHYTHM AND REELS
Saturday 4 February, from 7.30pm An outdoor family entertainment night including music performances and a showing of Poi-E: The Story of Our Song. Bring a blanket and some kai to the Queen St reserve to enjoy music and an amazing film!
This rhyme is sung to the tune of ‘Frere Jacques’. While singing, drape a scarf or piece of gauzy fabric over your own face (or the baby’s face) then pull it away on ‘there you are’ and ‘peek-a-boo’.
Where is baby, where is baby? There you are, there you are! Where are you hiding, where are you hiding? Peek-a-boo! I see you!
