How can I prepare? To best prepare for a session, it helps to write down all the topics you’d like to cover during the hour long appointment. If you are taking any medication, let me know in the beginning of the appointment. You can also eat a healthy balanced meal.
Does Hypnosis last? Hypnosis lasts as long as the session lasts, when you are counted out at the end of the session, you are no longer hypnotized. When you learn self-hypnosis for situations like: test anxiety, labor and birth, presurgery, or flight, You will learn to count yourself out just as in session.
When it is used for lifelong challenges or habit modification, the suggestions and changes lasts longer because the hypnosis is set up as such.
Can I get stuck in hypnosis? While it serves the entertainment industry to make it seem as such, it is not possible to get stuck in hypnosis.
What’s the difference between a hypnotist and a hypnotherapist? A hypnotist is someone who knows about hypnotism and can facilitate hypnosis for another person. Training for hypnotists are varied. A hypnotherapist knows how to use hypnosis to create a place of focus within the relaxed state of the person. For some certification programs, clinical hours may be required.
