There are flexible placement options to suit local, national and international employers.
Placement Options Option 1 Students can undertake a part time or annualised hours approach allowing employers to take students on paid or voluntary roles at peak periods between November and September within the academic year. This can include up to 15-20 hours per week working around timetabled classes and assessment points within the fixed study periods. From March on students will have no fixed academic commitment so can feasibly increase their activity to 37 hours per week. This approach will allow employers to focus placement hours around key activities or events rather than taking on a student fulltime.
Option 2 Students can undertake a part time or full time approach up to 360 hours allowing employers to take students on paid or voluntary roles between April and September within the academic year. This can include up to 37 hours per week with all other academic commitments finalised. This approach will allow employers to focus placement hours around key seasonal peak periods. This also provides flexibility for students to consider international destinations and employers (subject to visa requirements).
