Welsh Rowing is committed to ensuring that it is a strong, robust and sustainable organisation that represents the needs of our community of coastal, river and indoor rowing members.

Welsh Rowing is determined to build a vibrant and strong rowing community in schools, clubs and strategic water sports venues across Wales. Rowing continues to be one of Great Britain’s most successful sports on the World Stage. Welsh Rowers have been ever present and have contributed to this on going success at World and Olympic levels. Welsh Rowing acknowledges the excellent support it has received from Sport Wales, British Rowing and other partners, and we believe that with appropriate investment, we can go even further in delivering ambitious targets, that make a significant contribution to the development of world class rowers whilst also contributing to the life and health of thousands of enthusiasts throughout Wales. Welsh Rowing is proud of the work that it does in promoting and developing all forms of rowing within Wales. To enhance this offering Welsh Rowing aims to engage and work with partners that share our goals, values and commitment to building strong and sustainable rowing community within Wales and share our broader ambitions to develop high quality programmes, services and events. Partnerships are crucial to our success and will be at the centre of our strategy. Alongside our national and local agency funding partners we also aim to work with key commercial partners in supporting the development of rowing from those starting out through to the global stage. Welsh Rowing is determined to ensure that these partnerships provide worthwhile and beneficial marketing opportunities for your organisation that will open the door to national and international events, sponsorship opportunities, advertising prospects, editorial openings and online coverage. Working in close partnership with us will give you access to some of our key assets: and our unique membership base. We aim to ensure that these opportunities are not only effective, but cost-effective.

2012 Events

Home International Regatta

This prestigious regatta has been held in the UK since 1962 with each home nations country sending teams of senior and young up and coming rowers to compete. The 2012 event hosted by Welsh Rowing in Cardiff Bay will be one of the last major sporting events before the start of the 2012 Olympic games and will showcase a high quality field of national rowers to the hundreds of spectators and travelling support.

50th Anniversary 1962—2012

There are a variety of partner opportunities which can be supported by our event planning partners, including course branding, individual race sponsorship, the regatta programme and stand/ exhibition space at the delegate lunch and network event that will celebrate the 50 years of the event.

Cardiff Bay

Welsh Rowing would also like to invite all our supporting partners to a network lunch on the day of the event with an opportunity to showcase your company with exhibition space and network with a range of dignitaries from across the UK whilst overlooking the course. The regatta will also be promoted to the Welsh media and covered on all home nations rowing websites. Corporate Partnership 2012 will see Welsh Rowing launch its corporate partnership programme which will aim to work with local, national and international businesses to achieve their goals by working with us to provide a local ‘framework’ of services and programmes, for public, private, voluntary , and education organisations involved in the delivery of rowing in Wales.


Terms & Conditions 1.1 The following Terms and Conditions govern the basis upon which Welsh Rowing (or “we”) make available the “Event Partnership Opportunities” referred to in this Brochure. 1.2 You hereby agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and acknowledge that failure to comply with them could lead to your being excluded from the Event Partnership Opportunities. 2. Content of Brochure We take all reasonable steps to ensure the contents of the Brochure are correct at the time of publishing, but we can make no guarantee as to the contents. In particular stated dates r elating to the Event Partnership Opportunities may or be altered or events cancelled. 3. Content online When supplying content for our digital channels (advertising banners, websites, emails etc.) please ensure that this adheres to Advertising Standards Authority UK Code of NonBroadcast Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing (CAP Code)

4. Booking The Event Partnership Opportunities will be granted on a “first come, first served” basis. Where a Event Partnership Opportunity is available we will write to you confirming your successful application (our “Letter of Confirmation”). If fully booked, or otherwise unavailable, we will endeavour to suggest an alternative event or, a different type of entry, or participation for that Marketing Opportunity. However we cannot guarantee such availability. We reserve the right to reject your application at our sole discretion. 5. Payment Fees for each Event Partnerships Opportunity are set out in the Brochure. These may be subject to variation in exceptional circumstances. All fees are exclusive of VAT. Applicants will be invoiced for the full fee of the Event Partnership Opportunity within 30 days of receipt by us of the organisers of the Event Partnership Opportunity invoice or 7 days before the Marketing Opportunity is held, whichever is the earlier. 6. Promotional Materials Any literature, publicity, advertising copy or other materials promoting or otherwise relating to the Marketing Opportunity for which you are applying (the “Promotional Materials”) must be provided to us in suitable formats by the date set out in the Letter of Confirmation. If you fail to meet this deadline, you forfeit the right for these to be incorporated in any publicity. No refund or credit against the fees will be available. Applicants warrant that the Promotional Materials (a) represent a true and fair statement of the services or facilities provided by them; (b) do not breach applicable advertising regulations or codes; (c) are not defamatory; and (d) do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

7. Changes to Marketing Opportunities and Cancellation Any change to change your participation in a Event Partnership Opportunity must be made in writing. We may, at our sole discretion accommodate such request, subject to you agreeing to meet all associated costs. If you wish to cancel your participation in the Event Partnership Opportunity at any time, you must inform us in writing. The full price for participation will be payable unless we are able to reallocate the place you have selected. 8. Obligations and Liability 8.1 Welsh Rowing make no warranty as to the suitability of any Event Partnership Opportunity for any particular purpose or otherwise. We exclude all liability to the extent permitted by law for any cost, claims or losses howsoever caused that arise by reason of your application. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation. 8.2 For the avoidance of doubt, you acknowledge you are responsible for all other costs incurred as a result of your attendance or participation in the Event Partnership Opportunity , including transportation, staff costs, meeting relevant health and safety provisions and for the safe keeping of any property associated with such participation. You shall maintain adequate insurance in all such respects. 9. Indemnity Applicants indemnify us against:
