Content IAAS Alumni Gathering Scientific Forum IAAS On Open House World Congress, Chile 2013 IAAS 5th Olimpyc
IAAS Alumni Gathering Alumni Gathering is a forum where alumni from IAAS LC IPB and the civitas of IAAS LC IPB gather and share about the experiences from the both side. Alumni Gathering period 2012/2013 held on 25th may 2013 in Hongkong CafĂŠ at Jakarta. This event was attended by 48 participants from alumni and active member IAAS LC IPB. The difference of this event is the first time Alumni Gathering held on outside of Bogor and on the night.
Alumni Gathering was opened by Elsa and Andri as the MC, after that an opening remarks from Dicky Hasian Zulkarnain as the project officer of this event. Then there are speeches from M. Tian Syahputra as LCD IAAS LC IPB, Prof.Dr. hanny wijaya as the advisor and Mr. Arif Satria as the founder of IAAS LC IPB.After the speeches and opening by Mrs. Hanny , all participants got a dinner and greeting themselves to each other. After the dinner there is a game by Maxmilyand, in this game you have to collect the signature of all participants and who collect at most the signature will be the winner. And the winner of this game is Mrs. Hanny with 18 signatures. After got the refreshing with a funny game, mc of this event divide all participant to be 4 groups and discuss about alumni's experience in their company. In every group there are two moderators to guide each groups , so this discussion could be effective. And the last schedule in this event was skype with dodi as alumni of IAAS LC IPB who study in Japan. Aver all of this event was success and the respond from all participants are good. IAAS On Open House Open House of Bogor Agricultural University held on 25th - 26th of July 2013. by this event IAAS LC IPB try to welcome the new comers of IPB and introduce our self to the new student here. On this year, visitors in IAAS stand are 739 peoples, this number increased twice from the last year.
Content of IAAS Stand IAAS Review IAAS Review is a part os the stand which explain about IAAS in general and also IAAS LC IPB. this description also included the history of IAAS, organization structure, and IAAS department. Why IAAS this is the spot where we putted the recommendation for new student of IPB to join IAAS. This part explain about project and even that we did and the advantages of joining IAAS LC IPB Now Showing On the second side of this stand we showed the IAAS Company Profile to the visitor. We hope that the video will increased the interest of the newest student in Bogor Agricultural University to know more and join IAAS LC IPB. Hall of Fame is a part of IAAS stand that present the Achievement of every IAAS members in any competition. Those achievement are competition in national level and international level such as writting competition, forum delegation, national outstanding student and many others. Scientific Forum �Make Your Ideas Valuable�
Scientific Forum consists of two periods. The first period explained about writting paper, finding topic idea, and then explained about how to make a good presentation. The second period was about training cultivation of sweet potatos with Mr. Ahmad Bastari (head of Gapoktan Mandiri Terpadu) in Cikarawang, Bogor. Both of periods were held for two days.

irst day, we presented two speakers, that is Mr. Alfi Irfan as speaker about writing paper method and Miss Nadine Sofiana as speaker about how to make a good presentation. Mr. Alfi Irfan explained from beginning find idea, good structure paper, and how to become “an expert writter “. After Mr. Alfi finished presentation, some paticipants gave him question. Furthermore, Miss Nadine explained procedures make a good power point so that audiences understood that contents and gave a little manner to speak in front of audience in order not to get nervous when extended contents. Second day, all of participants went to Mr. Ahmad Bastari's house to learned about cultivation of sweet potatos. In this section, Mr. Ahmad taught participants in theory and practices. He explained from cultivation until marketing. After all of theory had been explained, participants went to factory of sweet potato flour. The location is behind of Mr. Ahmad's house. He taught us about production. And then, participants back to Mr. Ahmad's house to lunch and held the last setion i.e. 'rujak party'.
IAAS World Congress Chile 17-26 of July 2013 17 July 2013 (Wednesday) We arrived to Universidad Mayor at 12 pm. We surprised because there are just 8 students those organized Woco in Chile. There are 58 delegates from 18 countries in Woco this year. Those are Indonesia, United States of America, Greece, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Venezuela, and Chile itself. We helped the Organizing Committee (OC) to preparing stuffs related to opening General Assembly (GA) tomorrow and introduce each other to all delegates. 18 July 2013 (Thursday) Today, we started GA from 9.20 Am. The first agenda is election of chairman and vice-chairman to lead GA until the end, after discussion. Genna from USA elected to be chairman and Esther from Canada as vice-chairman. After that we discussed about overview of Agenda by Lyda (Greece) as current president of IAAS World. The first agenda we told about membership review (credentials for each country : Frozen / Full / Candidate ). The results are : > Full member countries (26 countries) : Belarus, Belgium, Benin, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Rwanda, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Togo, USA, > Candidate member countries (7 countries) : Australia, Japan, Malta, Pakistan, Venezuela, Ivory Coast, and Georgia. Frozen member countries (5 countries) :B&H, Ghana, Nigeria, Serbia, and Ukraine. Country those out from IAAS (10 countries) :Austria, China, India, Macedonia, Nepal, Thailand, Uganda, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe. > Countries that do not pay participation fee, do not country report presentation in Woco, and also inactive in local committee level become frozen and if that country do it more than 1 year, it will be kicked out from IAAS member. 19 July 2013 (Friday) This day we focused on EC report related to acceptance or rejection responsibility and accountability reports of EC. Finally, after discussing for 5 hours, we decided to acceptance of EC reports and every EC get grants. Lyda get 1200 Euro, Alex 1200 Euro, Yahor 1200 Euro, Kerii 300 Euro, and Sylwia 600 Euro.
22 July 2013 (Monday) Today, GA started from country report by IAAS Sweden. Because IAAS Sweden don't present it yet. After that IAAS Indonesia promote about International Scientific and Art Festival (ISAF) that will be held in Semarang and Yogyakarta on next September. There are a lot of question coming from other Delegates related to ISAF programs.
23 July 2013 (Tuesday) Today, we are discussing about Development Fee for each member country and amendment of IAAS constitution by Law (CBL). We will updated later after come back to Indonesia, for the whole new content of CBL. But, we want to make sure that there is no change that give bad impact to IAAS Indonesia. After GA,
24 July 2013 (Wednesday) Today is the 1st Day for International Conference with theme "Producing Food For The World". We discussing about Chilean agriculture and how to improve agricultural sector generally with Chilean agricultural prime minister named Sr. Luis Mayol. After that conference continued to panel discussion with the thyme "how is the agriculture in your country?".
25 July 2013 (Thursday) Today is second day conference. We talk more about sustainable agriculture and biodynamic agriculture. After that we moved to Vina Antiyal for technical visit related to sustainable agriculture and biodynamic agriculture. We learn a lot about not only organic agriculture, but also how we improve optimally the input of agricultural sector based on their landscape.
26 July 2013 (Friday) Today is the third day conference. We learn about agricultural technology improvement in Chile, transgenic agriculture, and also we study visit to Jorge Schmidty Cia LTDA, a big avocado fields with 3000 ha in Chile. We also want to share with you a detail point related to what we get from Study visit and also conference. Waiting to next report and meeting with you guys,
