• Pitching successfully to live clients was experienced during studies through a number of live briefs; from Edcom Ad Venture Competition, Kopparberg for Arena Media and most recently research with the IPA. The IPA Media Futures Group, an industry study to research the future opportunities which has to offer the media industry. This included coordinating interviews with media owners and presenting feedback to the IPA.
Media knowledge • The media landscape and the consumers consumption of media is fragmented, demanding deeper thought of how the consumer interacts and engages with different platforms. This means fine tuning strategic thinking that points the consumer in the right direction. • Studying this area has enabled critical understanding of the industry for example; the issues and limitations of data used within the marketing communications process and contextual understanding of the mediums and the role it plays within the consumers life. • Marketing at Bucks New University has helped develop strategic knowledge of digital and web techniques. Implementation of contemporary integrated marketing, from online display, social media and mobile elements results to a value proposition that fulfills business objectives.
Digital • Successful training across the University departments using customer relationship management tool ‘Hootsuite’ that drove community engagement across social media. • During July 2013, a small tech company called Harrisonlink was setup. iOS app and website solutions offered further skills in app development and digital know how. This CV is also available in app form called ‘IMA’, for an immersive experience to showcase these skills. Currently maintaining three branded websites through Wordpress and Squarespace. • Competent using Google Analytics and basic SEO to further develop sites. Proactive at using social media platforms to keep ahead of digital trends. Currently Klout score 51.
Research role • During everyday life there is always a need for research from comparing products services online, however during placements and studies developing of a bank of resources like Kantar media (TGI), Mintel, Euromonitor, WARC, Lexisnexis, Haystack, BRAD and many more to ensure quality of consumer habits or other industry performance. • Effective in primary research being selected for an industry study by the IPA Media Futures Group.

This led to developing search algorithms to segment issues.

Creative • Keeping up with media and technology trends being an avid reader of sites like Gizmodo, Techcrunch and subreddits to find out what is next enables creative thinking to be applied to all walks of life and problem solving. • Creativity can come from anywhere. The deeper thought does not stop at the end of the work day. • Being adequate at using the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator has enabled exploration of creative ideas and concepts for projects. • Completing Belbin Team roles resulted in ‘Plant’ Which means strengths are creative, imaginative, free-thinking which generates ideas and solves problems.
