Winter sports Skiing The superbly groomed slopes and the deep-snow fields of OLYMPIA SKI WORLD INNSBRUCK prolong perfect skiing until well into spring – no matter whether you are into green runs, black runs or in search of the most challenging off-piste terrain. And the wide choice of gentle slopes is ideal for both families with children and senior skiers.
Ski touring The unspoilt mountains of OLYMPIA SKIWORLD INNSBRUCK are simply perfect for experienced high-alpine touring enthusiasts. The Sellraintal – Kühtai ski touring area is particularly popular, and the specially built touring track up to Mutterer Alm is perfect for beginners and the less experienced. However, all those with limited alpine experience are strongly recommended to set out with a professional mountain guide. Cross-country skiing In the winter wonderland around Innsbruck and its ski villages, more than 120 kilometres of carefully groomed and snow-assured cross-country tracks in the valleys and on the mountains await the eager cross-country skier. The route taken by the free cross-country ski bus (see table) depends on snow conditions, the weather and the composition of the group of participants. For cross-country lessons check with the ski schools listed on pages 5–6. 10
