Dear friends,

On behalf of the government of Ontario and our Premier Doug Ford, I wish to extend a heartfelt congratulations to the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario Canada on the occasion of the 9th Pentola d’Oro Awards. This important gala does so much to promote and celebrate the many individuals and businesses who have made incredible and lasting contributions to Ontario’s food and beverage industry.

ICCO Canada has always gone above and beyond to acknowledge the many individuals and businesses in our Italian community who have made - and continue to make - notable achievements in the arts, entertainment, sports, education, science, business and politics.

Our government is proud to join ICCO Canada, and all of you here tonight, in celebrating the vibrant, rich heritage and culture of the Italian community. This community continues to make vital contributions to our province’s growth and prosperity, and will always be recognized by our government.

I’ve always believed that it is our culture and traditions that define who we are, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with sharing our culture and traditions with each other. The more we know about each other and celebrate our culture, the easier it is to love and respect each other.

To tonight’s award winners – tonight is your night. Be proud of everything you have accomplished and for all that you have contributed to Ontario’s food and beverage sector. On behalf of the Government of Ontario, I extend a sincere congratulations to each of you.
