Editor’s Note Six years ago, I met my husband and every day since I have worried about his safety. I cry when I think about all that my husband has already faced as a black man; knowing that our son will likely face some of the same hatred. My heart breaks for every single black person; what it must be like to look at your home and see it filled with such hate for you and those that look like you. As a mother and a wife, I am personally invested in this movement, but as a human being I feel so desperate to amplify the voices of those who have gone unheard. I will never know what it means to be black; but I will fight alongside the black community and do everything in my power to help move our country to a place that I am proud to call home. Your voice matters; your experience matters. And you are so very loved. #BlackLivesMatter
