With the first few frosts of the winter behind us and Christmas round the corner, it’s time to pop that Santa hat on and kick back by the roaring open fire to read issue 20! This month’s highlight of the magazine has to be our Cheryl interview, it seems at present she is everywhere, on the X Factor, on the radio. But we don’t mind, as the down to earth Geordie tells it as it is and gives you a small incite to life in her popular and hectic world.

With the festive season upon us and the hectic rush that ensues, it’s good to start thinking about how to deal with that inevitable family squabble that will take place, Susan Leigh of Live Life Well makes some brilliant suggestions on how to manage these successfully to make this Christmas infamous for all the right reasons.

Christmas is also sadly a time of year when domestic violence will be at it’s peak, as home-life stresses reach a crescendo. It’s hard to believe that in our day and age that domestic and sexual abuse still takes place. This is why the new Norfolk awareness campaign ‘Say NO to domestic abuse’, is so important, as it actively promotes pledges from Norfolk men to address this. Let’s not forget that it’s not just men who abuse, women too can also be violent and we urge both men and women to get involved on social media by using the hashtag #NorfolkMenSayNo or #NorfolkSaysNo. If you or someone you know is being subjected to domestic abuse you can get help by contacting The National Domestic Abuse & Refuge Helpline on 0808 2000 247.

Thought Of The Month

By Alex Wiseman

That Christmas Feeling... When does it start feeling Christmassy? Is it the switching on of the lights? Putting up the tree [I've had mine up since mid November] Ordering the turkey [don't like turkey] It's all of those traditions; but for me the one I look forward to is the panto night out. For one night, once a year, EVERYONE in the family enjoys their night out young or old. Its laughter and fun and it gets you all Christmassy. I just have one last thing to say...it's behind you... Oh and Merry Christmas!!

Fosters Solicitors Purchasing goods a seasonal reminder of your legal rights

hristmas is a stressful enough time without the fear of discovering one of the expensive presents you have purchased or been given is faulty or doesn’t meet expectations. Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (which has seen many amendments since it was first introduced) goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Should a present you have purchased fail to meet any of those standards you may be able to seek redress under the Act. Any claim you make will need to be against the retailer who sold you the good as opposed to the manufacturer.

There are a number of ways you may deal with your claim. If the goods turn out to be faulty you may choose to reject the item and return it to the place of purchase and get a refund, but this must be done in a reasonable time, usually within three to four weeks, although this may vary depending upon the nature of the goods. Anything perishable for example you will need to deal with immediately. If you have the right to reject them you don’t have to purchase a replacement. Your right is to a monetary refund of the purchase price.

www.icenimagazine.co.uk

FOSTERS SOLICITORS Issue 20 2014

f you leave it too late to reject and return the goods, you may get the goods repaired or for a like for like replacement. Ask the retailer to do this, although they have the right to attempt a repair if that is reasonable, and they will normally choose to do the cheapest option for them. If the retailer does not repair or replace the goods ‘within a reasonable time but without causing significant inconvenience’ to you, then you may either claim a reduction in the purchase price, or your money back (minus a fair amount for usage). If the retailer refuses to cooperate after a reasonable request you may get the goods fixed elsewhere and then claim the cost in compensation from the retailer.

and insist on a refund. If you do leave it too late or have had a significant amount of use from the goods, then request a repair or a replacement if a reasonable repair is not possible.

f you are not able to resolve the matter directly with the retailer and you have to go to court, any monetary claim against the retailer up to a value of £10,000 may be brought on the small claims track in your local county court hearing centre. You may even begin your claim using the court’s online service. The key protection on the small claims track for a claimant is that so long as you conduct your claim reasonably, you will not face a costs order even if you are unsuccessful. If you have to go to court the burden is upon you to prove the goods were at the point of purchase. If your claim is that the goods were not fit for purpose or not as described, then within a period of the first 6 months, the burden will be on the retailer to satisfy the court they were. Beyond the initial 6 months after purchase the burden will then fall on you. That is sometimes difficult to do without support from an expert. If you need expert help it is sensible to invite the retailer to agree to jointly instruct the expert, but if they refuse you may not have a choice but to instruct your own. The expert must be independent. The court will usually give extra weight to evidence from an expert, but because the evidence from an expert has to be impartial, never seek to influence the evidence they give. If you do that the court may not be willing to allow you to use the evidence and it is likely to undermine your case.

As may be common around the festive season, the fault may be with goods you have received as a present. If this is the case then you will need to contact the person who purchased the gift for you. It is the person who purchased the gift who has the contract with the retailer and any claim must be brought by them. Most responsible retailers will deal with the recipient of the gift if you have evidence of purchase. It makes no difference in law whether it was purchased as a gift or not. If they are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose or not as described, the statutory protection under the Sale of Goods Act is the same.

The best advice if you discover a fault with a goods you have purchased is to act as quickly as possible. Go straight back to the retailer with the faulty item

Please visit our website at www.fosters-solicitors.co.uk or contact our team on 01603 620508.

he final deadline for bringing a claim for defective goods is six years (and in limited circumstances may be extended up to 15 years where the defect is hidden) but in the vast majority of cases involving modern consumable goods if leaving a claim that late would probably be too late. If the goods in question don’t have a design life of five years for example, it is likely that any claim brought after five years is not going to be successful.

s the trend towards online purchasing of goods grows ever stronger your rights in relation to this area are equally important. Your rights under the Sale of Goods Act still remain in place, but there are additional rights in most cases available under the Consumer Contract Regulations, which give a right to cancel any order for goods within 14 days of receiving them. Certain goods, for example those that are personalised or considered perishables are not covered by those regulations. Fosters Solicitors have been looking after clients in East Anglia for over 250 years and if you have a legal issue affecting you we would like to help.

£2,400 Pledged So Far This year's Wymondham Lions Annual Charity Swim has, so far, received pledges of £2400. With Gift Aid this should mean that Wymondham Lions will be able to present local charity Nelson's Journey with nearly £3000. Teams of all ages (7 - 70+) and abilities from across the area swam in relay style for 50 minutes in aid of the charity that specialises in helping bereaved children. Prize winners will include the Deep Blue Dolphins from Wicklewood Primary who swam 98 lengths, a team from the 4th Wymondham Guides who swam 112 lengths and the team from U3A who have so far pledged £707. There will be another prize for the Primary School team that raises the most money, but the pledges for these teams are too close to call at the moment. Wymondham Town Mayor Cllr Colin Foulger (left) with Lion President

This is the 9th year Wymondham Lions have Jim Cawte (right) in front of the massed spectators at the swim. held their charity swim, each time for a local charity. So far the event has raised a wonderful £30,000, all thanks to the many swimmers who have asked for and collected the sponsorship. It is very often the collecting that is the hardest part. Wymondham Lions, like the 1.35 million Lions in Lions Clubs across the world, take pride in the fact that no fees come out of charity money donated by the public.

Zoe Bett (centre) of Nelson's Journey who received a cheque of £100 which the Lions gave to Wymondham College student Riley Cork who recently swam the English Channel on behalf of the charity.

Upcoming events include the big Wymondham Dickensian Steampunk Christmas Fayre on Saturday afternoon December 6th. Go dressed up, you will love it!! Following that the Lions will be collecting in Waitrose on Friday and Saturday 12th and 13th of December. The proceeds from that collection will go towards Christmas presents for residents of some of the care homes in the area. The Lions and some chorister friends will be visiting the homes singing carols and will have the real Santa on hand to give out the presents.

If anyone would like to help at any of the Lions events or find out more about how Lions help their community they should call 0845 833 5749 or email Wymondhamlions@gmail.com , they would love to hear from you. PAGE

Enjoy Your Festive Relationships By Susan Leigh Christmas can put a strain on our relationships. The claustrophobic mix of being cooped up together for days with an excess of alcohol, rich food, too much TV, little exercise, perhaps becoming irritable as we start to get under each other’s feet Susan Leigh can all cause tempers to fray and highlight existing tensions there may be in our marriages. Other relationships can also suffer at this time. Let’s consider ways you can enjoy your festive relationships: • Don’t stress over everything being perfect. It’s better to have a hotpot supper and a lot of laughs rather than seven different kinds of stuffing but with no one speaking to each other! Spend what you can afford but there’s no merit in taking out loans you can’t repay just to make one day of the year special. • Be gracious with your children and your ex-partner. Custody disputes can rage on for a long time, sometimes until the children become old enough to make their own decisions. Some families compromise by alternating custody between Christmas and New Year but if that’s not possible try to do what’s best for the children and maybe have your family ‘festivities’ at another time. • Let visitors join in and feel involved. In-laws, house guests often hover because they want to contribute and help. Determine to give them a task, however trivial. Maybe even plan in advance what they can do and be generous in your praise, giving credit where it’s due. These simple gestures add to the good humour of the day. • Plan activities to keep everyone occupied. Outdoor exercise is great if the weather allows. A brisk walk in the countryside or an enthusiastic ball game can burn off any sluggishness as well as a few calories. If the weather’s bad then board games can occupy a surprising amount of time and be great fun. • If you’re spending the holidays on your own might you want to volunteer at a shelter or a sanctuary for part of the time? They’re often in desperate need of extra help at this time of the year. Plan treats for yourself too, lovely meals, some pamper time and make the most of a few days relaxation. Accept invitations from colleagues,

"Take some of the pressure off yourself; plan a little ‘me’ time to relax and enjoy Christmas too." friends or neighbours. Even if you’re simply invited round for a drink make the effort to accept, dress up and go, perhaps returning the compliment and asking them back another time. A little effort makes for better festive relationships. • Work relationships can sometimes be affected at Christmas by an excess of alcohol and mince pies. Keep an eye on how much you’re drinking and avoid the temptation to go over the top, even if it’s all free and you feel you’ve earned it. Save having ‘that discussion’ with your boss where you offer your fantastic suggestions, complaints and how you can make everything better for another time. Resist the urge to hit on that person you’re sure secretly fancies you. Remember, when you’re at the office Christmas party you’re still at work! Do you really want to be on social media or talked about over coffee on Monday morning? Didn’t think so! Take some of the pressure off yourself; plan a little ‘me’ time to relax and enjoy Christmas too. Share the responsibility for having a lovely time with others and enjoy your festive relationships. Susan Leigh is a Counsellor and Hypnotherapist who works with stressed individuals to promote confidence and self belief, with couples experiencing relationship difficulties to improve communications and understanding and with business clients to support the health and motivation levels of individuals and teams.

NORFOLK WOODBURNERS Issue 20 2014

The Latest ‘Must Have’ For Your Home Since the dawn of civilisation people have been lighting fires for both cooking and heating purposes. ow in the modern age of central heating, gas fires and electric heaters you would think that lighting fires would be something that was left behind with your ancestors, you would however be wrong! Woodburners have become a ‘must have’ for many households across Norfolk, East Anglia and the rest of the United Kingdom. The market for wood burning stoves has grown 20% per annum since 2007 according to HETAS the industry regulatory body. This equates to 175,000 households per year with 200,000 in 2013. This increase can be attributed to a few factors. The homeowner’s attempts to reduce their energy bills and become less dependent on one form of energy supplier, be it Oil, Gas or Electricity. With price rises for electricity, gas and oil reaching record highs, purchasing wood for a wood burning stove can really save a household many £££’s on their home heating bills. With a stove top kettle you can also use your woodburner to make a cup of tea! On a greener front woodburning stoves could account for 10% of the UK govenrments carbon reduction targets by 2020 with a potential of 25% of the governments domestic renewable heat energy target gain by 2020 according to The Stove Industry Alliance (SIA). It’s a shame the UK government does not offer any incentive schemes for having a woodburner installed as do all other European countries! In a survey run this year (Sept 2014) by the SIA 21% of people aspire to owning a wood burning stove. Many articles in newspapers and magazines state that woodburners are the latest trend to add value to your house. So what should you look out for when buying a wood burner? 1. Output. All stoves have a nominal heat output measured in Kw. A reputable installer will work out the output required in your room. This is dependent on size, insulation, numbers of windows etc. A newly built

house which is energy efficient will require a lot less output. A typical rating for a standard room is between 4-5 Kw. 2. Efficiency of the stove. This is set by building Regulations which have set a minimum efficiency for all ne heating appliances. The minimum gross efficiency for a dry stove is 65%. However these days most stoves are 70% + with some such as the Aga Little Wenlock achieving over 80% 3. Wood or multi fuel stove? Wood is a carbon-neutral fuel, as the carbon it gives off is counteracted by the carbon it takes in while growing. A wood burning stove is designed to run only on firewood or other types of biomass fuel such as briquettes etc. For any stove to run efficiently requires well seasoned logs with at most 25% moisture content, ideally 20%. A moisture metre is an invaluable tool. You will need room to store the logs, ideally sheltered but with airflow. A multi fuel stove will run on either solid fuel, anthracites, smokeless fuel nuggets etc or wood. Some multi-fuel stoves can be run on 'slumber' overnight, whereas wood burning stoves can't. It’s also worth remembering that you will need to have the chimney swept at least once a year. 4. Stove Installation. Having a stove installed is not something that you can do yourself - you will need a qualified installer and the installation will need to meet building regulations. You should only use an installer that is registered with a government-recognised Competent Person Scheme (CPS), such as Hetas. http://www.hetas.co.uk/find-installer/

John Lowe added, “The 27th June 2015 will have a great line up, but for me it will be the Norwich Big Reunion, see you there my friends”. Lord Baker said, “This is going to be a massive night and one that should put Norwich and Norfolk back where they belong, in the ‘Premiership’ of Darts. Working full time I have to grab my writing opportunities when I can, be it a couple of hours in an evening or an afternoon at the weekend. Occasionally I will have a clear schedule; a solid six-hour period to throw myself at my novel. Above: Keri Beevis Nothing will disturb me, no one will interrupt me; I will churn out twenty pages of brilliance. Except it never quite works like that. This is pretty much how it goes. Fire up laptop. While it’s loading, time for a coffee. While the kettle is boiling I notice weeds poking up in my garden, well… actually it’s more like a verge. Okay, it’s the area I step over between my front door and the bin. I pour my coffee and head outside. My cat, Lola, follows, because she is not really a cat, she is a sheep and she follows me everywhere. She rolls on her back in an attempt to get me tickle her belly. I am a sucker for cat belly so I oblige. Her sister, Ellie, hears purring and realizes she is missing out. More belly rubs and another five minutes wasted. I grab my coffee and head back to my laptop, which has switched itself off. I reboot, drink my now lukewarm coffee and check Facebook, Twitter and my email. Half an hour later I must crack on with writing. I have just typed the first new sentence when the phone rings. It is my mother. Now I swear that my mother has a magic telephone in her house that is programmed to ring whenever I am about to eat dinner, get in the shower or am working on my book. How else would she have a 100% record of interrupting me whenever I am doing one of these things? Usually Mum is distressed about something when she calls. This may involve a decision she has made and is now regretting. She does this a lot, from small stuff like agreeing to play golf three days in a row, to big stuff. Only my mum could spend years living in a house and dreaming of downsizing to bungalow, only to move to a bungalow and complain because she can no longer go upstairs. PAGE

If she’s not distressed about a bad decision, it will be about the rising price of toilet roll. Anyway, you get the picture; Mum has phoned to have a moan. Finally we’re done and it’s back to the book. I’m thirsty from the talking though, so put the kettle on. While it is boiling I notice my washing is done. I make the coffee, sort my laundry and nearly trip over Lola lying on the stairs while my arms are laden with clothes. Lola shows me her belly. I cave to a cuddle and then make a fuss of Ellie, because Ellie is a very jealous cat and if she doesn’t get what she wants she might pee on my bed. (She hasn’t done it yet, but the threat is there). Back to my laptop, I reboot, look at Facebook, Twitter and my email, lose another half an hour then return to the book. I write a sentence, sip my coffee. It’s cold, so off I go to make a fresh one. This time I will focus. I won’t get distracted by cats, mothers or laundry. I will stay away from the Internet. I type a few more lines before needing clarification of something. Being a writer, research is random. One minute I am looking up the year Google was launched (September 4th, 1998, for anyone interested), the next finding out how long a person could survive in a buried coffin. (One to two hours depending on how much you’re panicking and using up air). So I do my research. Just check Facebook, Twitter and my email. Hello, I’ve had a new message. Finally I notice I have one-hour left of my six-hour time frame. This is not good. How have I managed to waste my day again? I sit down to write and suddenly, like the man who ate a bad curry and had the whole wide world fall out of his backside, my writing starts to flow. I am typing faster than my brain can engage, my characters coming alive and doing their own thing. I overshoot my six-hour window, working into the evening, forgetting to stop for dinner, for a shower or for sleep. Eventually I stop because I have a day job to go to the following morning, but I don’t want to. I could write all night.

The Diary of a Norfolk Family. Above: Mark King

By Mark King

No matter how much you try to ignore the on rush of Christmas which seems to run from the 1st of October to the 1st of January if you are to believe the adverts in the media; the harder it becomes as the first few adverts that appear becomes a deluge before the big day arrives. For the children it's the time of year for writing their Christmas list and which will keep them occupied, and happy, on a rainy Sunday afternoon as they ponder the delights of the presents they want.

Are You New To The Social Media Scene? Check Out Our Website For Useful Articles

Now as they get older the days are gone when colouring pens, books on Bob the Builder and fairy stories, or small cars and simple board games topped their lists. Now it’s mobile phones, iPads, a pet dog, gaming machines plus all the games that go with them and money too. The more time they sit, nice and quiet, scribbling away the longer the lists becomes, and the more poor old Santa Claus will have to work over time to pay off all his elves. This change didn't happen slowly as the years passed, but came about this year. Suddenly that little baby you once cuddled in your arms becomes a little child, and then suddenly they become grown up children, and before you know it they will be teenagers. I ponder to think what their lists will be like then. Maybe Santa will have to exchange his poor little old slay for a gleaming new big four by four to carry all those gifts?

www.icenimagazine.co.uk

Now that would be a present indeed and one Father Christmas truly deserves! Of course there is always the mince pie and sherry (a big double measure) for him to look forward to until that day arrives.

WHAT WILL YOU BE EATING OVER CHRISTMAS? Whilst you should definitely enjoy yourself this Christmas (I know I will be), you do not want to over indulge. Keep yourself lean over the festive period by following my Christmas Survival Guide…... Beware of the Buffet Food Try and avoid fatty shop-bought foods such as sausage rolls, pastries, samosas, cocktail sausages etc. Instead opt for things like finger sandwiches with low calorie fillings (ham, turkey, chicken), Twiglets, sushi rolls, and salads. Then you have the sweet treats such as mince pies, chocolates, biscuits etc. It all adds up and it's easy to forget how much you've eaten when you are sitting around the television with the family. Set yourself a limit, such as one mince pie, and then stick to it. Remember, you don't have to eat something just because you are offered it! Alcohol - Don’t get Caught Out! People always ignore calories in alcohol. Enjoying a large glass (250ml) of white wine will set you back 240 calories...that's the same as a bar of Cadbury’s Fruit & Nut! Be sensible with the amount you drink in the run up to Christmas. Stick to smaller glasses and alternate with a glass of water. I tend to recommend spirits with mixers (e.g. diet lemonade) as they are the lowest in calories. Here's a rough guide: • Spirits - 55 calories • Small Glass of Wine (125ml) - 80-120 calories • Can of lager - 220 calories Eat Well, Not Stupid Eat sensibly during the festive period. Don't skip meals in anticipation of eating tonnes of food later in the day - this is especially important with breakfast. Fill up before you go to an event and you're less likely to snack on the bad stuff. PAGE

22

Research shows that meals containing protein (meat, eggs, cheese and nuts) keep you feeling fuller for longer, so these make ideal breakfast choices. Let’s face it, there is always plenty of leftover turkey to make use of. Don't Panic If you keep your nutrition consistent in the build up to Christmas a couple of days of enjoyment will not bring the world to an end. If you have eaten “badly” the day before, brush it off and start again. Keep with the Programme Christmas is usually a hectic time for everyone (particularly parents) with nursery/school events, buying presents etc and it's easy to let exercise slip. You need to keep going with any exercise classes or programmes you are following. Not only will it help you maintain your weight, it can also help reduce stress and release happy endorphins. Just remember though, the most important thing to do over Christmas is enjoy it. Wishing you a Merry Christmas. Make 2015 Your Best Year Ever! The tradition of the New Year's Resolution goes all the way back to 153 B.C. to a time when Janus was a mythical king of Rome. With two faces, Janus could look back on past events and forward to the future and the New Year held heralded the start of new beginnings. ‘Our philosophy is simple, you have to know where you have been in order to know where you are, only then can you look to see where you are headed’, says Caroline Rust founder of WorkshopsWork Ltd. ‘The first few weeks of Caroline Rust the New Year can be tough for businesses and people alike. Most of us have overspent (or overeaten) and people are still getting used to the idea of being back at work. Then reality sets in and if the order books aren’t as full as they could be it’s easy to sink into the January blues’, says Caroline. ‘What business people need to do is get ‘out there’ again as quickly as possible. Networking events will help people to reconnect with the business world and they should plan to attend events in January and February. Businesses could also diary thinking time and take the opportunity to review 2014. It needn’t take long, just set aside a couple of hours, grab some paper and start thinking.’ Here are some of Caroline’s key topics and questions to get you started. Reflect and Review - Look back over 2014 ask yourself ‘what went well? what worked and what didn’t? Did you reach the targets you’d set? If so how, and if not, why not? Innovate and Imagine - Innovation is vital to business growth so ask yourself ‘in what way did your business embrace innovation? Think about your products or services, your people and the way you accessed your markets? How can you improve upon this in 2014?

Think like your Customer - If you want to serve your customers well then you must first think like them. In what way do you, your people or your business ‘think like the customer’? How customer centric were you last year and what will you change for the future? Think Solution not Problem - Did you spend most of your time last year focussed on problems rather than solutions? Have you truly resolved them or are they still there? Ask yourself what you no longer willing to tolerate this year? Then act on it! Stretch your Comfort Zone - If you felt uncomfortable at times last year ask yourself ‘what did I learn?’ Make it your business this year to step outside of your comfort zone more often and notice what changes. Have more Fun - Ask yourself this, ‘as a percentage of your life how much time did you spend having fun last year?’ Was it 5% or 100%? Fun is essential to our wellbeing yet few put it on their ‘to do list!’ If you only have one resolution this year then make certain you double your quota this year, at least then when you look back on 2015 you’ll be smiling. Cheryl's new album, Only Human, is out now.

www.icenimagazine.co.uk

ICENI INTERVIEWS Issue 20 2014

ICENI Interviews Your new single, ‘I Don’t Care’, has a very up-beat dancy feel to it. Was it fun for you to record? It was. I mean it’s exactly what it says on the tin. Its one of those feel free, have fun, vibes. Same as the video. Its quite a departure from ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’ are you keen to show different sides with two such different singles? I was, I mean the album is pop but there’s obviously a lot of different sounds on there. There’s also a couple of R&B sounding songs. The industry is not like it used to be where it was all just one body of work and everything sounded similar so I wanted to show there was different sounds on there. As you said yourself there are urban influences, EDM, and some more underground stuff: is this the different styles of music that you personally enjoy in the clubs? I don’t really have a club record, but it is stuff that I enjoy and then I wrote. A lot of it is all from me and a lot of it is just, literally a hopeful, fun uplifting message. I hope. That's all I want it to be is a straight forward pop, slightly R&B record. Just going back to ‘I don’t care’, you make a pretty clear statement in the lyrics about how happy you are in your life and not bothered what people say, is that message that you do want to get across to your fans? Yeah, I mean I haven’t cared for a long time really. You can’t live your life worrying about what other people think or say about you. Even if I do hope that people enjoy what I do, I can’t make that the sole focus of my life because that would make you miserable.

In the new video, you have a make-up-free appearance, how did that feel, is that something that you wanted to portray to people: and say look I’m happy with the way I look – you should be too? Yeah, it’s quite liberating. In one scene I have make up on from the night before, like when you wake up and you’ve forgotten to take your make up off. In another scene I’ve got no make up on. Yeah just carefree - enjoy your life and stop worrying about pointless little, stupid things. Going back to the album, with the R&B kind of theme running through, do you think that is a definitive ‘Cheryl sound’, for you, of who you are and the music that you have made up to this stage? It’s the kind of music that I grew up listening to. It’s who I am influenced by and that I enjoy, but obviously I’ve been in Girls Aloud for 10 year and pop has been a big part of my career and my life and it’s important. I wanted to include a little bit of everything: me, pop and hopeful messages which I hope come through. With the different kind of influences on the songs, was there certain things you were listening to that had a little bit of an influence or producers that you have met over a period that have influenced some of the songs on the album? I’m sure sub-consciously, from being young and listening to that style of music I’m sure subconsciously I was influenced. But there wasn’t one thing I was listening to and I didn’t want to focus on. I just enjoy the songs and then write on it or sing it if I didn’t write on it and not focus too much on being anything specific or any kind of influence other than it was enjoyable to listen to. ICENI INTERVIEWS Issue 20 2014

Are there any avenues of sounds that you would like to explore further? Will we see you doing a dubstep tune or something like that? I did do a bit of dub on the last album. It was happening at that moment if that makes sense? Would you be up for exploring working with dance producers? I did work with Calvin on the last album, we did ‘Call My Name’, and I obviously worked with Will I Am, who was a massive influence over my solo career, so I have worked with some of the big guys, yes. Is shaking things up and working with different people and sounds the key to staying relevant as an artist and also keeping it interesting for yourself? I think keeping it interesting for yourself is important, because if you aren’t interested you are never going to interest your supporters. I think keeping an ear to the ground is one thing but not being too heavily influenced by what is going on around you and going with your gut instinct is more important. On the first track on the album it opens up with a philosopher, Alan Watt. Where did the interest in Alan come from, and how did you discover him? A friend of mine played me a snippet of his speech, which I have used a small section of on the beginning of the album, and I was really blown away by it. I really related to it. I know a lot of young teenagers and young kids online and on my social network platforms that are confused about life and which way to go - which direction to take. I felt it was a powerful message to put out there. Personally, have you got any stand-out tracks on the album that are your favourites? Hard, because it goes and I change my mind all the time. I change my mind all the time, like, for a while it was ‘Throw Back’, and then it was, ‘Coming Up For Air’. I don’t know I’m changing my mind all the time. I really don’t think there are any fillers on this one.

Was there a last minute track you started working on and felt had to go onto this album? There was a song from me and Payne from One Direction for the deluxe album. It’s a ballad that was interesting and I wanted to put that on. Do you see yourself as an artist first and foremost, with television as an ‘add on’ or is it just part of what you do? It is an extension of what I do. It’s still music related even if it’s not me, it’s me helping someone create what I do... its helping somebody and giving them the opportunity to have what I have. If you look at One Direction and Cher Lloyd, people like that - Ella Henderson is number one this week - people who have come from the X-Factor. To be part of someone’s journey like that, its just as much fun as doing it yourself. Does the future hold anything like going into management or running a label? Does anything like that hold an appeal for the future or are you just focusing on the here and now? I’m concentrating on the here and now because as we all know, you never know what can change in the future. But, it is something I am interested in, and it is something I would love to look at for the future. But this year and right now, I’m just focusing on what is going on. So can we say that you are very happy with the record? Im extremely happy with the record - yes. Very happy with the record. Looking into 2015, any touring plans for this record? I hope so, that’s the next thing I need to discus with management and with my team. Maybe after Christmas when the craziness with X-Factor dies down, then we will get into that. But I hope so yes. On Jonathon Ross you and Mel B said about the idea of a Spice Girls Vs Girls Aloud X-Factor, do you actually think that would happen? I would love that to happen, I mean I’m guessing I’m gonna have to get on Cowell’s case a little bit more. But I think, it would be fun don’t you?

ICENI INTERVIEWS Issue 20 2014

Which band do you think would have the most songs? Well we were around for 10 years; they were around for a few, so we may have a couple more than them. So what would be your secret weapon? And what Spice Girls track would be the biggest threat to you? They had some greats, I mean they are very nostalgic, I mean they created such an impact on the industry and a lot of people all over the country would feel very nostalgic. But we had a really strong fan base that grew up with us over 10 years, who were maybe 8 or 9 when we started and 18/19 when we split up you know. So, I think we both have a good audience. How does it feel being back on X Factor? This is my fourth series but I have been away for four years. Yeah, I know what to expect this time around. But I still always get really nervous and anxious for my people you know, more than anything else it is an adrenaline filled night on Saturday and Sunday for your act, so it’s a bit crazy but yeah, I enjoy it more because I know what to expect. Do you think you have the winning act? I do. There is massive attention on your clothes and you are a bit of a fashion icon, do you enjoy that role or is it a bit of a distraction? I don’t take any notice of that. That’s not my role, that’s just for whoever writes about that and I don’t read about it either. If one of them wants to call me Kermit the Frog then maybe. Speaking of that because obviously a lot has been made of that, does it annoy you or is it just a bit of fun between you and Simon? I couldn’t care less honestly, it’s not a big deal I love the dress, it was a nod to the 80s, and the most important thing is that my girl sings well not what I’m wearing. Are you happy with life in general? I’m very happy with life in general thank you very much for asking.

Gambling Service Helps Over A Thousand Problem Gamblers In Norfolk And Suffolk NORCAS, part of the Phoenix Futures Group, is funded by GamCare; the leading provider for the prevention and treatment of problem gambling. ince NORCAS began the GamCare Service in April 2005 it has worked with over a thousand problem gamblers in Norfolk and Suffolk. NORCAS provide dedicated specialist staff to assist people seeking information, advice and guidance for their gambling problem, or anyone affected by someone else’s gambling. Referring to the service is simple and both daytime and evening appointments are available. Our service has also been set up in HMP Norwich and HMP Hollesley Bay. It has been recognised that a significant number of problem gamblers end up in prison with no help available to them within the prison service to help them understand their gambling addiction and how to manage it on their release and avoid re-offending. It is estimated that the problem gambler population in prison may be as high as 10% for men and 6% for women. It is increasingly recognised amongst policy makers that, as with alcohol, some people who engage in gambling can experience harm. For the first time the most recent Health Survey for England (2012) by the Health and Social Care Information Centre includes a chapter on gambling. There are good reasons for these concerns. Some risks are well-known such as; debt, bankruptcy, theft, fraud and relationship breakdowns. Others less so; depression, stress, substance misuse, neglect and abuse of partners and/ or children. There is also a greater risk of suicide with problem gamblers which is increased yet again if there is concurrent alcohol or substance abuse, or mental illness. These harms can ripple out affecting families and wider society. PAGE

32

Ron Turrell Norwich GamCare Counsellor said “Problem gambling has been called the 'hidden addiction', unlike other addictions such as alcohol or drug addiction, the physical effects of the problem are very difficult to see. You are unlikely to know that someone has a gambling problem unless they tell you. We want to reach out to more people that just don’t know there is help out there.” If you, or someone you know, has a problem with gambling or is affected by someone else’s gambling there is FREE and CONFIDENTIAL help and support available by calling NORCAS Norfolk service 01603 660070, Suffolk service 01473 259382 or emailing: gamcare@phoenix-futures.org.uk GamCare also offer a National Helpline Freephone 0808 8020 133 8am - midnight or online services at www.gamcare.org.uk

Online Campaign Calls For Men To Say No To Domestic Abuse Online Campaign Calls For Men To Say No To Domestic Abuse The campaign ‘Norfolk Men Say No’ is taking advantage of online technology by setting up a Facebook page to enable men to show their support at the click of a button. Nigel Williams Chief Fire Officer and Ambassador of Norfolk Men Say No said: “As a Norfolk man I am proud to launch the Norfolk Men Say No social media campaign. I am asking for you to join with me and the other good men of Norfolk to say "No" to domestic and sexual abuse. “For far too long, men have not been visible enough in combating the totally unacceptable attitude and actions of those that do this. I want your help in changing this. By saying "No" you are joining with me and other good men, declaring in a strong, unified voice that:1. You actively challenge all such abuse whether perpetrated by men or women and whether suffered by men, women, boys or girls. 2. Such abuse is not committed in your name, with your acceptance or your indifference. 3. Those suffering from such abuse, regardless of gender, will know that good and decent men will be there, alongside them and not the perpetrators. “Remember, abusers rely on good men doing nothing”. The Norfolk Men Say No campaign is based on a two-pronged approach; to empower men to feel confident to come forward and report the abuse they have suffered and encouraging men to say no to domestic and sexual violence. This year men are being asked to get behind the online campaign and like the Norfolk Men Say No

Nigel Williams Chief Fire Officer and Ambassador of Norfolk Men Say No Facebook page to declare they actively challenge all such abuse whether perpetrated by men or women. Men are also encouraged to follow the footsteps of Nigel Williams and post a photograph holding a sign with the words #NorfolkMenSayNo to pledge their support and spread the message online. The page will also form a platform to post a wide range of information which will help to raise the awareness of domestic abuse and support services available in Norfolk. To pledge your support like the Norfolk Men Say No Facebook page and post a picture of yourself holding a poster with the words #NorfolkMenSayNo. Alternatively follow us on Twitter or send an email (norfolkmensayno@fire.norfolk.gov.uk) to show your support. SOCIAL MEDIA Issue 20 2014

You've Received A Complaint On Twitter - What Should You Do? You've put all your effort into your business, it's services and products then someone leaves you negative feedback or comment about your business on Twitter. Understandably you’ll probably take it personally and want to respond immediately, fuelled with emotion over the thought of someone attacking the business you’ve put your heart and soul into. But wait, this isn’t the way to resolve it professionally. Try the following steps and see if it helps resolve the situation positively for all parties: 1. Take a moment Don't jump straight in when you're emotionally fired up wait! Remember that every business, big or small, will at some point get negative feedback. Take a breather and take time to think about what they've said and try to remove emotion from the equation. 2. Do your research Investigate the complaint. What was it about, was it related to a service, product or an employee issue? Find out as much information from the sources available to you as you can and determine if the complaint is valid or not. The more information you can get, the more informed you'll be to determine a course of action. If this isn't the first bad review you've had about the product or service or employee there could be a bigger underlying issue that needs further investigation. 3. Apologise and then take it private Regardless of whether the complaint is valid or not you should always apologise. On Twitter it's important to acknowledge the customer using their @name and apologise publicly.

what happened, would you send us a quick email/DM so we can get in touch? We’re looking forward to resolving this issue for you." Don't get into a "you said", "we said" verbal slanging match - it's unprofessional. If, having discussed the matter further with them, it's a valid complaint let them know what you've done or propose to do about the issue and the inconvenience experienced. Be sincere and even if you can't resolve the persons complaint the fact that you've responded to them and are seen to be trying to help resolve it will show that you care about your business reputation, your customers and are proactive in dealing with complaints. 4. Resolved? Let everyone know! If you resolve the problem tweet the successful resolution to your followers and most importantly @mention the person. Say that you're glad you were able to resolve the issue to their satisfaction. It's possible then that the person might then post, retweet or favourite the positive conclusion and they might even become an advocate for you. You'd be surprised how many people are still impressed that a business is listening and willing to help, and if it's resolved quickly it's an added bonus! Sadly, sometimes people want to just have a rant and aren't even interested in trying to resolve the issue with you. Always be seen to try to initiate a conversation (following step 3 above) but when the person doesn't reply what can you do? Your options are limited. You can block people on Twitter from following you but this doesn't stop their tweet being searchable or seen by their followers. As an absolute last resort you can try to drown them out with tweets or retweets generated by yourself to make them appear lower in your feed. It's not ideal but sometimes you have no choice.

Social media can only go so far in any valid complaint procedure and it's then that you should ask them to DM, Messenger or use another private communication tool available to you both so you can get their contact details to discuss the issue in more detail.

Conclusion It's important to monitor your Twitter feed and check out the @mentions to see what people are saying about you. If you find a negative comment, take a moment, do your research and then try to resolve the issue. The way you handle a complaint can turn a potentially negative situation into a positive experience for your business and your prospective customers.

Something like this would work: "We're sorry you've had a bad experience with us. We’d like to know more about

INSPIRED FLOWER DESIGN

www.icenimagazine.co.uk

Issue 20 2014

Inspired Flower Design Inspired by a passion for flowers, a unique creative flare and a love of Norfolk, a freelance florist from Attleborough has already received national recognition of her bespoke designs. Tracey Diplock, from Attleborough, was able to launch her floristry business with the help from NWES, an enterprise agency who specialises in helping people turning their business idea into reality. Inspired Flower Design creates beautiful bespoke floral designs for any occasion in Norfolk and the surrounding areas, offering a personal service to clients for weddings, funerals, bouquets and corporate events Tracey Diplock

"I absolutely adore Norfolk, its flowers and its everchanging landscape. I'm really excited to be bringing my creativity and my love of flowers together to make any occasion extra special for my customers.” What began as an interest soon turned into more as Tracey worked in a florists shop before studying floristry at night school alongside her job as a manager for a national magazine. However the lure of floristry was too great and she made the decision to follow her dreams and pursue her freelance business. “Working as a freelancer means I have more time to dedicate to each of my clients than many florist shops, and for me there is no better feeling than seeing their smiles as I hand them their bouquets and designs” Tracey said. Having joined the Norwich-based NWES programme, Tracey found this to be very helpful, offering advice and support along the way. Business Advisor Victoria Williamson said of Miss Diplock "Tracey is an immensely talented florist with a real passion for her business, but most importantly is her focus on customer satisfaction, for every design to be one which both she and the customers are proud of.” Inspired Flower Design has already been recognised by national specialist magazine 'Wedding Flowers PAGE and Accessories' to feature her work, honouring

her with a double page spread, and is the preferred supplier for many local businesses. Passion for her trade and focus on customer service are the key to the success of Inspired Flower Design, along with Tracey's huge determination and pursuit of perfection. "Inspired Flower Design is going from strength to strength and I am so proud. However my greatest success is immensely personal. I am working on my dream…getting up every day and loving what I do, being happy, fulfilled and raring to go” says Tracey. THE BASE ...is delighted to announce that it’s recent Winter Wonderland Ball, held on November 15th at The Top of the Terrace, NCFC, was a great success with the final total being raised £14,228. The aim of the Ball was to generate sufficient funding so that The Base could expand its current 1-2-1 wellbeing sessions from one to two days a week as well as recruiting a professional counsellor to offer essential support and early intervention in cases relating to young people’s mental health. NCFC and Mustard TV favourite, Darren Eadie proved the perfect Guest Host providing anecdotes and engaging with the audience throughout the evening’s entertainment. Bryan Baxter of Norwich City’s Auction House cajoled the guests into bidding in the Auction, while Night Train’s blend of Soul, Funk, Pop and Rock provided the perfect atmosphere to round the evening off. The Base is extremely grateful to all those individuals and organisations that made the Ball possible either by donating sponsorship funds, raffle & auction prizes, their time, and of course, to all those that attended the evening for their incredible generosity and support. The Base would like to pay particular thanks to the sponsors of the evening - Norwich City Football Club, Archant, Barclays and MOCO Ltd specifically Carl Moore. Special thanks go to TGI Friday for kindly donating two of their superb “Flair Bartenders” on a busy Saturday Night, stepping into the breach at the very last moment following the cancellation of the original act.

Norfolk Winter Walks-Wrap Up Warm!

ETERNAL NORFOLK Norfolk in winter.

ig skies dominate with the threat of snow and other things to come. Like that lazy wind so beloved of the coast that doesn’t go around you but straight through, cutting the chill to the quick. Yet, leaden and foreboding as they are, the skies teem with life with, for many, the twice daily call of the returning Pinkfoot geese acting as one of the first barometers of the season to come. Pinkfeet breed in the far north, Iceland predominantly, but also Greenland, choosing to spend their winters in more agreeable climates to the south which, and you have to salute their good taste, includes Norfolk. There are few more evocative sights and sounds in Norfolk at this time of year than the vast skeins of the Pinkfoot returning to their inland night-time roosts, their silhouettes sharply featured against the stark and massive sky. Good places to see and hear them include the NNR at Holkham and the RSPB site at Snettisham. Norfolk’s beaches can be quite deserted at this time of the year and, if you are lucky, you can have

a massive panorama of seas, sand and sky all to yourself, an all too rare chance to ‘wander lonely as a cloud’ in our own, usually busy, coastal backyard. Holkham beach seems to go on forever, a simple but spectacular canvas of crisp air with added wide open space and time to think, the same applies at Brancaster where, if you choose your time and day well, you can wander down the bank that runs parallel to the road and watch a winter tide hasten its way over the beach, up through the ever narrowing creeks and over the salt marsh, temporarily inundating the road with salt water resulting in a miniature inland sea that stretches off towards the east and Brancaster Staithe harbour for as far as the eye can see. The short and gloomy days that follow the all too brief jollity of Christmas and New Year celebrations can be brightened with a walk to see the snowdrops at Walsingham Abbey as they start to produce their brilliant white carpet in amongst the trees and around the remains of the medieval priory, naturalised, along with the equally pretty aconite throughout almost 20 acres of woodland and alongside the banks of the River Stiffkey which runs through the Abbey grounds.

Another worthy walk for a Winter afternoon is the one you can take in and around the near 243 hectares of the Queen’s private estate at Sandringham. Winter at Sandringham evokes images of birch trees that glimmer as the low sunlight reflects off their frost painted barks, grey squirrels foraging for long hidden treats amidst the carpet of leaves and the jagged branches of the woodland trees, rendered bare by winters first bite-magnificent oaks, ash, sweet chestnut and beech, some reassuringly flanked by Corsican and Scots Pine. Walks on the Sandringham Estate can be long and a torrent of sights and sounds, so much wildlife to see and different views to take in, something to reflect upon at the end of the day as you take your place in front of an open fire, snug and warm from the gathering darkness outside. Some winters are more memorable than others and, for good and bad reasons, there will be those of you who recall the one of 1963 and how it contributed to bringing much of Norwich and Norfolk to a chilly standstill. The more than seasonal weather that year started just before Christmas and, from Boxing Day onwards until around the middle of March, much of Norfolk was either covered by, or about to be covered by a fresh blanket of snow. The coldest day recorded that winter in the county was on January 23rd 1963 when a temperature of -19 degrees centigrade was recorded at the Forestry Commission site at Santon Downham near Thetford. The rivers and Broads froze over with one very sad effect of the otherwise picture book scenes being the loss of so many birds and water animals, all unable to survive in the daily sub zero temperatures. Those temperatures were so consistently cold that Oulton Broad froze meaning people could safely take to the ice to find new ways of entertainment-with one story from the time claiming a man was able to drive from Oulton Broad all the way to Beccles-along the River Waveney! Another place to take a walk and shake off some of the winter blues in doing so would be at any part of the old Peddars Way, an ancient track way of 46 miles in length that starts at Knettishall Heath on the Suffolk-Norfolk border, running in an approximate north-westerly direction towards the coast where it links up with its younger sister, the Norfolk Coast

Path at Holme-next-the Sea, the 93 miles of both walks combined giving the winter walker a choice of beautiful scenery and places, including a Roman road, the Brecks, low cliffs and extensive beaches as it meanders along the coast towards Cromer. Winter, for me, has always been a season that brings our countryside and all of its delights into sharp focus. The air is clearer, sharper and so are the views and the sights, it’s as if they have been given a makeover that brings them even more into focus. Summer scenes are hazy and soft, seen through a veil of heat and the languidness that slows down movement and thought. Winter juxtaposes that, everything seems bigger, more colourful, more part of the landscape that wraps itself around our towns and villages, beaches, fields, meadows and wide open spaces, it demands exploration and new discovery, the warmth of the latter always guaranteed to melt away the chilblains of the hour. A Norfolk winter can be harsh and prolonged, it can bring us all equal measures of delight and frustration, whether that means the joy of new snowfall as you meander your way home on Christmas Eve or whether that journey and others are delayed, ever frustratingly, by yet more delays on both road and rail. Yet it also gives us a chance to see our county with fresh eyes and on a new page-if only we would look, explore and take it all in anew. Winter can be a gift, let it be just that in your travels this year. Just you and those massive skies above you, the greatest Cathedral of them all. Indulge. But keep warm! ICENI - MUSIC Issue 20 2014

Example at UEA Review by Jessie Quick

Singer, songwriter Elliot Gleave, better known for his stage name Example, has seen a transformation in the past couple of years. From being the supporting act to Plan B to now touring as a successful musician, the Fulham born rapper has really changed his life, and made ours more exciting! The Londoner performed at the UEA on the 18th of November before touring to Birmingham and Liverpool later that week. He stated this would be ‘the last of his tours for a while.’ I like to think he will be working on a fifth album for 2015. Example caters for a wide range of people. In fact his audience consisted of 14 year olds to families, which only reflects how largely loved his music is. Perhaps it’s the way he fluidly switches between his bellicose rapping to his soft mellifluent singing voice. He included a variety of his songs, from his newest album ‘Live life living’ to his first ever tracks written, allowing us to connect to his journey in the music industry. Opening the gig with ‘Stay Awake’ the musician had the crowd raving from start to finish. Example performed, yes not only stood stiff centre stage, but he performed. Dressed in a simple black T and black jeans, he jumped around as his fans raved manically to his music. The atmosphere was electric. His constant interaction and witty comments such as ‘If you see someone not moving, grab them in a head lock’ created louder singing and higher bouncing as he reinforced his jokey persona. And of course, his continuous barking of his well know catch phrase ‘bounce’ had the crowd obeying him throughout his intoxicating performance, also shouting ‘who can bounce the highest!’

Although Example reflects a jokey personality on stage, he in fact is extremely down to earth. When entering the gig, there was ‘Donations to Charity’ desk he had set up. A very thoughtful decision considering hundreds of people attended the gig in hope people would donate. As a whole, Example turned a small Norfolk student bar into a strobe-lit, bass-pumping club. And that for me confirms why he is such a successful musician who thrives off performing his songs to his fans, and I along many look forward to what else he has coming up in the future. PAGE

ICENI - HOROSCOPES Issue 20 2014

www.icenimagazine.co.uk

Horoscopes For December Aries 21 March - 20 April

Libra 24 September - 23 October

Your appetite to join in with the festive celebrations is boosted as Mars moves into Aquarius on the 5th. This is perfect for enhancing the seasonal ambiance and potentially making this an exuberant party month for you. It’s also important because Saturn changes signs and moves into Sagittarius. Things may gradually begin to improve on a financial level too. You might also develop a serious interest in study or travel as the month and year come to a close.

It looks like a busy month is in store for you Libra, and you may find that plenty of visitors will keep you occupied at home. A festive romance is also a possibility, or at least a chance to add sparkle to a relationship you’re already in. Yet tensions can build, with differences between you and someone close coming to a head. See this as a chance to clear the air and revitalise the tie.

Taurus 21 April - 21 May Your zone of career and ambition bursts into life, stirring your enthusiasm for progress. You may find opportunities appear out of the blue, ones that can inspire you to be positive and progressive. You might also find that your romantic options improve, and especially when you can push yourself into new situations. You could also be inspired to work at improving your finances from December 23rd.

Gemini 22 May - 21 June The Full Moon in your sign on December 6th gets this festive month off to a boisterous start, and this can be an ideal date to stage a seasonal get-together. The fun continues whatever your relationship status, as your social life has every chance of blossoming. Yet, if you are a free spirit, the move of Saturn later in the month, could see you thinking more carefully about romantic possibilities.

Cancer 22 June - 23 July The chances are you’ll have plenty of invites and perhaps even a clinch or two under the mistletoe this festive season. At the same time, tensions which ramped up last month from Uranus’s square to Pluto continue, suggesting it may be time to think again around your career or future prospects. If you are not gaining personal satisfaction any more, a new start in a fresh setting might be what you need.

Leo 24 July - 23 August The stars shower some romantic magic upon you, and can see you much more proactive about reaching out to those you are attracted to. This influence can also enhance a current relationship or stir passions within it. The focus then shifts to lifestyle issues, but your gift for organisation will as usual, see you highly tuned to ensuring everyone’s Christmas time is a success.

Virgo 24 August - 23 September The Full Moon in Gemini on December 6th puts you in the spotlight, and could also bring an opportunity your way that you may have coveted for some time. This is also a month when Mars is set to help you work very hard on any issue that requires concentration but also passion. Furthermore, with Saturn switching signs in week four, where you live, how and who with can also start to be transformed. PAGE

46

Scorpio 24 October - 22 November The tension between Uranus and Pluto heats up again this month, prompting you to let go of certain things in your life that are no longer working for you. In addition, although you’ll be in a generous mood for much of the month, you may feel motivated from December 23rd to start to be much more frugal with your resources. This is set to be a trend for the next couple of years.

Sagittarius 23 November - 21 December With a cluster of planets in your sign early in December, you can set in motion all sorts of new initiatives and projects. Ironically, with Saturn entering your sign too, some old strands may come to a close. The stars are asking you to prioritise like never before, and this could see you narrow your focus. Pleasingly, a windfall of some kind is possible just before Christmas.

Capricorn 22 December - 20 January Relax when you can early in the month, as you’ll likely get busier as December gathers pace. The first few weeks are excellent for getting your bearings before you dive into action over the festive season and New Year. Yet, the exact Uranus Pluto link on December 15th could stir up personal issues, and especially with someone at home. This could be a make or break scenario.

Aquarius 21 January - 19 February Mars hot foots it into your sign on the 5th, enhancing your resolve to get on with projects and personal plans and filling you with a renewed enthusiasm. At the same time, this is a chance to catch up with yourself and renew your commitment to key goals. There’s plenty of fun to be had too with friends Aquarius, and you can love the show of their loyalty and support you receive.

Pisces 20 February - 20 March Full Moon night on December 6th brightens up your home zone, making this a sparkling date to be with those who really count. In addition, fresh opportunities career-wise can bring excitement and may lead to a more serious commitment to one particular goal or ambition further down the line. However, you might look to handle your personal finances responsibly, to ensure less seasonal hassle.
