Finding a balance between chaos and peace in these tough times is a skill of the fittest. What I have learned for sure during this Covid 19 pandemic is grasping that peace can only be done step by step and piece by piece. It’s definitely a struggle I have had to maneuver throughout my life. It became a bit easier when I chose to handle those twists and turns with strength and STYLE. My journey began on September 10 1978 to my amazing mother Tracy Thacker and Gregory Taylor. I was the middle child to an older brother Dawan and younger sister Takasha. My childhood was not glamorous but I wouldn’t change anything about my childhood cause it helped me to learn the lessons needed to become the man I am today. Growing up in the urban city of Saint Louis Missouri the only times I saw or experience glamour was either in church or on television. My experiences with extreme and editorial fashion came when I was at the checkout lines in the grocery store flipping through the magazines while whoever I went with checked out. I heard on one television show that Vogue magazine was like the bible of all things fashion and style, so I made it my business that next time I was at the grocery store I was going to purchase a Vogue magazine of my very own; and after flipping through the pages of that glossy magazine it completely changed how I viewed fashion as simply clothes we put on to cover our bodies, to how pieces of clothing are actually a fabulous form of artistic expression! How you could take pieces of fabric and turn them into wonderful pieces of art, how they could help tell a story and aide speaking to the masses without you having to say a word. That’s when my personal image and how I presented myself to the world (well my neighborhood) mattered. But during that time money was tight and my mom did what she could with the 3 of us. Sometimes I had to wear by brothers hand me downs which I despised at the time but learned to understand. In a weird way it helped me to take better care of the clothes I had cause I never knew if someone else may needed them. It’s a trait I hold dear to this very day.... TAKE CARE OF WHAT YOU HAVE... No matter the price tag. Shopping on a budget was something my mother grandmother and great grandmother mastered, finding clearance rack gems was a oddly satisfying hunt. I did desire the more expensive things that I saw my fellow family members, classmates and neighborhood friends had and in some instances such as holidays or birthdays my loved ones gifted them to us! But me not fully grasping the fundamentals of life I always desired more but that didn’t happen until I got a bit older and started to make my own money! Upon obtaining my high school diploma from Vashon High School I made the decision to immediately go to cosmetology school which was conveniently located in the lower level of the high school to obtain my cosmetology license. I was already doing hair in high school to make extra money so some of the techniques came pretty easy for me. During that time I had to learn about life, peer pressure and survival quickly. Growing up in the inner city that came with the territory. As time came close to completing cosmetology school and taking the State-board exam I realized I had to make a name for myself. It was a stressful time mentally cause things weren’t perfect on the home-front which is why I didn’t pass the exam my first time... I felt defeated at first but my friends and family prayed and gave me that extra support that I needed to go in the next time and pass with flying colors. So now I’m a licensed cosmetologist and the time was upon me to make a name for myself. The question was what would that name be? My circle of friends at the time decided we were gonna create our nicknames...The name that everyone of importance is to call us individually. I decided on the name Divah...it just fit perfectly with my down to earth yet regal personality. My current nickname SirGlamourotti didn’t come til later on in 2006 by another friend of mine who blessed me with that name and I fell head over heels in love with it. So with my nickname established I had to establish it to my community as a licensed cosmetologist. And for
the past 25 years piece by piece I’ve grown to work consistently on my craft! During my career as a cosmetologist my specialty is with short hair/cuts/styles, quick-weaving techniques, scalp weaving, sew in installments and hair coloring. A satisfied client has always been most important to me... I honestly don’t think I chose this career... The God Given Gift chose me. I didn’t get into doing hair for fame or notoriety. I got into the business being honored by the fact that for those women or men who choose to support me will be wearing my expression of art on their head as they experience this immaculate blessing called life. It is a humbling experience that I truly thank God for. I’ve assisted in several local fashion and hair shows/presentations. Styled wedding clients and countless special occasions! And yet I’ve had a awesome career and I’m truly grateful I began to feel a piece of the puzzle was missing, so I decided to go and further my education. My search for the missing piece landed me to attending Sanford Brown College to achieve my Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandising. My love for fashion was always there but I centered it more on my image and building my personal style. During that time I was conquering 2 tasks at once. One attending college making sure I kept my grades up and didn’t give up on my goal the other one was which many people don’t know is that I was at that time living as a transgender woman and moving about in this world as a woman. What many don’t understand is that comes with its own heaviness on you mentally. In the back of your mind you are wondering in some way shape or form... Am I good enough. Your peace of mind is never calmed. But I persevered and graduated with my degree and also coming to terms that God has a calling on my life and I could no longer live a trans lifestyle! But I was fully equipped by God to conquer the next chapters of my life wherever it led me. Now my mind was open to the business aspect of fashion which led me to tapping into

“I decided on the name Divah...it just fit perfectly with my down to earth yet regal personality” becoming a freelance wardrobe/fashion stylist which had me feeling uneasy because at this chapter and age in my life... I may be about to start over! I’ve learned during all my times in school is that the true lessons will not be in the textbooks. I learned early on when it comes to getting in the fashion world it’s all about who you know and making connections (whether authentic or not). And if you are not in the major fashion cities ( New York or Los Angeles) the access gets smaller and the climb gets harder! The blessing though is that there are many different avenues and lanes in fashion that you can sculpt and make them your own. It still will take hard work but if you truly want it, keep the faith, stay in prayer, you will get there. I’ve worked in show production and assistant fashion styling for Alive Magazine for Saint Louis Fashion Week in 2014-15. And I’ve also been able to accomplish one of my dreams as an assistant fashion stylist during some shows for New York Fashion Week in 2017. I couldn’t stop giving God the glory for those opportunities for a small town guy like me. And God got even more in store for me! I claim it in the mighty name of Jesus! No pandemic is gonna stop what God has ordained over my life! If you know anything about fashion/wardrobe styling then you know a lot of the work you do until you get established is done without pay! Yes and since I’m not established as of now being a hairstylist is what’s paying the bills as of now which in today’s economic climate is a must. Hopefully soon I will land more fashion styling work. My dream is to do some styling work in Paris during Fashion Week. The fast pace action of backstage during runway shows and attention to detail with runway and editorial styling is exhilarating yet exhausting work. But I enjoy every second of it. Currently I’ve

WHAT IS CORONAVIRUS? Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol based rub frequently and not touching your face. The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow). At this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. However, there are many ongoing clinical trials evaluating potential treatments. WHO will continue to provide updated information as soon as clinical findings become available. Stay informed:
Protecting yourself and others from the spread COVID-19 You can reduce your chances of being infected or spreading COVID-19 by taking some simple precautions: Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands. Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and others. Why? When someone coughs, sneezes, or speaks they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person has the disease. Avoid going to crowded places. Why? Where people come together in crowds, you are more likely to come into close contact with someone that has COIVD-19 and it is more difficult to maintain physical distance of 1 metre (3 feet). Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. Why? Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and infect you. Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately and wash your hands. Why? Droplets spread virus. By following good respiratory hygiene, you protect the people around you from viruses such as cold, flu and COVID-19. Stay home and self-isolate even with minor symptoms such as cough, head-
ache, mild fever, until you recover. Have someone bring you supplies. If you need to leave your house, wear a mask to avoid infecting others. Why? Avoiding contact with others will protect them from possible COVID-19 and other viruses. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention, but call by telephone in advance if possible and follow the directions of your local health authority. Why? National and local authorities will have the most up to date information on the situation in your area. Calling in advance will allow your health care provider to quickly direct you to the right health facility. This will also protect you and help prevent spread of viruses and other infections. Keep up to date on the latest information from trusted sources, such as WHO or your local and national health authorities. Why? Local and national authorities are best placed to advise on what people in your area should be doing to protect themselves.
Advice on the safe use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers To protect yourself and others against COVID-19, clean your hands frequently and thoroughly. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer or wash your hands with soap and water. If you use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, make sure you use and store it carefully. Keep alcohol-based hand sanitizers out of children’s reach. Teach them how to apply the sanitizer and monitor its use. Apply a coin-sized amount on your hands. There is no need to use a large amount of the product. Avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose immediately after using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, as it can cause irritation.
Hand sanitizers recommended to protect against COVID-19 are alcohol-based and therefore can be flammable. Do not use before handling fire or cooking. Under no circumstance, drink or let children swallow an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. It can be poisonous. Remember that washing your hands with soap and water is also effective against COVID-19.

also started doing customized bling work on garments (my garments as of now) which is another talent I didn’t realize how much I enjoy. Most of the looks in this editorial I personally did myself. The fully encrusted khaki pants I worked on at the beginning stages of the pandemic and it was actually a blessing cause it helped me keep my sanity. But I began doing customized bling work in 2017 and actually fallen in love with it. When I’m not doing bling work, at the salon, or fashion styling work, I have opened up to doing some modeling work participating in local runway shows and print PC. VON DONALD
work. Ive always enjoyed getting my picture taken back in my club hopping days so upgrading to being shot by such talented photographers is to me definitely an amazing experience. In 2019 I walked in 7 runway shows and I absolutely enjoyed every step on the catwalk it’s so exhilarating helping to bring a designers vision to life on the runway....So fun. During me walking in these shows I had the opportunity to connect with a brand Break The Mold Productions in which I am now one of the brands ambassador. They have helped with building my modeling portfolio, knowing my angles, finding the light, directing me to several opportunities and helping me to become more comfortable working with different personality types of individuals in the fashion industry. So I’m learning about the fashion industry from many different angles which is so helpful cause the more you know about this industry the better. And it’s helping me grow in this business so I’m better equipped heading to the level I’m striving to reach. And I won’t stop climbing till I reach the top! And I’m confident I’ll get there cause I’ve learned GOD GOT ME every step of the climb. I am very optimistic about my future but to be transparent I struggle with standing in my own way which is something I battle with from time to time in my life. My most important goal is to keep God first in every aspect of my life and career. To beat the odds and become the successful entrepreneur I dream of. To have my own lifestyle/fashion brand which creates fashion, accessories, footwear, fragrances and home decor. Owning my own manufacturing facility that houses all my products. To create my own hair styling products and wig line. Also I would love to create ways and spaces in which I can help positively impact the lives of people of color starting in my community and eventually all over the world. In the near future I would like to do some traveling. I wasn’t really big on traveling before this pandemic put restrictions and limits to it. Most people turned into a home-body without really wanting to. But I was a homebody prior to this pandemic. My routine was home, work, and church but now that churches have been closed its to the salon then back home unless I have other necessary places that I have to go to. I miss fellowshipping at church but I am well aware that you can fellowship with Jesus anywhere it’s not limited to a building. To occupy my time while at home I will watch television (reality shows are my guilty pleasure), Reading my Bible, watching gospel sermons from my pastor Wendell W. Bonner and Bishop T.D. Jakes, staying in prayer, posting content on my social media platforms, playing with my pet Maltese Chloe, doing bling work while listening to my diverse music playlist or simply turning everything off to de-stress, de-clutter, detach from the noise of this world for a moment From time to time we all need that moment of peace and clarity. When I do choose to go out....I go ALL out from a style standpoint. Even if it’s lounge wear I prefer to look put together. Hanging out really isn’t my forte unless it’s hanging with my small, close circle of friends and family or supporting entrepreneurs. If I’m out I’d prefer to be doing something to help me advance in my career and connect with individuals about business. In closing when it comes to fashion and style do what works for you. Nowadays too many people are too eager to wear what everyone else is wearing. What people don’t seem to understand is the way you present yourself to the world matters and you may be judged for it. And it may not be positive. People ask me from time to time what’s the number one rule in fashion or style. And my answer is the same.....FIT IS EVERYTHING!!! Everything doesn’t FIT everybody meaning it may come in your size but it doesn’t fit your body type or it may not fit your lifestyle. There is nothing more fabulous to me than when you put on something that’s chic and fits you well. I’ve learned early on in my life that fashion is about the current trend, who designed it and price tag of a garment....Style is about how you make that garment your own, the proper fit of the garment and is it cohesive to your personal style! So I guess the overall point is NEVER LUST AFTER FASHION... DESIRE STYLE! God bless you and keep you peaceful in all situations!!

I THOUGHT WE WAS JUST MEETING FOR COFFEE! I have to start this story to explain why I had my affair, it’s in no way saying I’m shallow or a bad person, but we all have our moments of weakness and we all do have expectations of what our partner should be to hold our sexual attraction toward them, and a lot of the time this is why people break up or get a divorce. When I was 22 years old I was in a long distance relationship with my then girlfriend (20 years old) whom was away at university. We were going through a bit of a rough patch as she spent most of her time “studying” and couldn’t talk to me online or on the phone during normal hours but then I’d find out later in the week that she was at the bars partying it up like every other college/university aged person would do. I never went to college/university myself, I instead started a career in the military. We had talked about me getting out to follow her and be stay at home dad while she went to work and made more than enough to support us. I admit it sounded like a good idea at the time, she was one of the smartest people in her high school when she graduated but the stress of university level courses started to make her second guess herself when she would fail quizes and tests she had been up all night studying for. I would get phone calls at 1 am of her crying and wanting to quit university, but I would remind her of our plans and she couldn’t give up on our future because I just couldn’t see us being together if her only option was to work at McDonalds for the rest of her life. This went on for the first year of her away at university, then she spent the summer with her mother traveling Europe. When she started back at school in the fall she met some new friends and started living in a house off campus. When I saw her she definitely exceeded the “Freshman 15” rule and put on a lot of weight. She started listening to different music and hanging out with new goth friends that talked her into trying marijuana, getting her belly button, tongue, and nipples pierced, tattoos during drunken spontaneous adventures, and dying her hair unnatural bright colours (her friends told her I would like these changes and I infact did not). By now she was 21 and I was 23, I was starting to think about buying a house, getting married, and having children. I started wondering if I had other options out there and signed up for a dating site to see what they might be. I listed myself for “friends only” because I wasn’t actively looking for a new girlfriend. I didn’t get very many hits in the beginning, but then after a couple of weeks one of the few women I started talking to was also listed as “friends only”. Her name was Kim, she through the corner of my eye as I
had blonde curly hair, and she was 6 months pregnant. She was using the dating website to find friends saying “she was lonely at home during the day because she was had started maternity leave early, and there was no father of the baby in the picture anymore”. I figured a 6 month pregnant woman was ok to talk too, she likely wasn’t looking for a relationship or even sex. When we started talking I immediately told her I was in a long distance relationship with a younger woman that was away at school and was a totally different person than I had first met and started dating almost year and half earlier. Each time we talked it was always in chat windows and didn’t go on for very long. We started out with friendly greetings and she would jump right to “So how’s the gf situation?”. I would just rant for a few paragraphs about a phone call early in the morning yet again or my wasted visit to her see her at her house where I ended up just doing dishes that had been piled on the counter for a week and neglected by her roommates. I even once had to clean her room for her and throw out all of the pizza boxes and empty pop cans that had been there for a while. After three weeks of chatting online Kim finally asked me if I wanted to meet up in person and have coffee together. She asked me to come and pick her up at her place, not far from where I lived. She said she would be the pregnant lady waiting on the side walk next to her apartment building. When I arrived there she was, an average woman with dark blonde curly hair in a long t-shirt and leggings carrying a purse. She wasn’t dressed to impress but I did get out of the car and shook her hand when we both
said it’s finally nice to meet in person, and then opened the door for her to get in. She talked to me like I didn’t know where I was going and directed me to the only coffee shop in town. I got a coffee and she got an ice’d coffee. She asked me if I wanted to drive around the small town and if I knew about the beach in town, which I infact did not. We drove down and it was starting to get dark out. She told me to park in the parking lot and we just started talking again. This is where she told me that she used to be in the military reserves and was taking time off to start a family when the father of her baby decided he was going to leave her and then go on deployment. She asked me a question about my gf that I do not remember because the next second her hands were holding my belt buckle and she was trying to get it undone. I said “Whoa! I uh...”, and Kim replied “I thought this is why what you wanted? A blow job isn’t really cheating now is it?”. I honestly had no argument and she just continued and told me to lower my seat so she could get in closer. The windows to my car had started to fog up and after a few minutes I couldn’t see outside anymore, but then I heard gravel moving in the parking lot that sounded like a car driving and I wiped away the window to see a local police cruiser. I told her we needed to stop and should go. “We can go back to my apartment if you want too, we can hang out there?”. I tucked my hard cock back into my pants as best I could and sorted out my seat before turning on the car and leaving the parking lot. The windows were defogged by the time we got back onto the road and I could see Kim looking at me with my girlfriend, it felt
slightly grinned. I managed to get us back to her apartment building where she showed me where to park across the street and then we went inside. The apartment was very cluttered with luggage and boxes, Kim told me her girlfriend had just moved in a few weeks ago and was still unpacking. I asked if her roommate was there but Kim said she was out for the night and said she had asked her give her the apartment for the night. I wasn’t very fast to figure out that Kim had this all planned out as she brought me onto the balcony and she lit a cigarette. I didn’t say anything about her being pregnant and smoking, it wasn’t my place to tell her she should stop and I thought she might get mad and kick me out. She stood up and said she was going inside for a second, I thought she was coming back but after five minutes I heard her call out to me and I walked in and she directed me to her bedroom. There she was, laying completely naked on her bed with her beautiful large breasts and very pregnant belly bare for me to see. She said “I thought you were going to follow me in?”, I replied “I didn’t know we were going to do this? I have a girlfriend”. Kim said “I figured this is what you wanted all along, to have sex with someone else and have no strings attached? So if you do take off your clothes and come here”. I stripped naked very quickly and climbed onto the bed. Kim spread her legs and I could see her very hairy bush and very wet pussy waiting for my hard cock. She grabbed it and guided it before I could put it in and handed me a condom “I don’t know where it’s been and I want to protect my baby, so put it on”. I didn’t argue and when I was ready she guided my rock hard cock into her pussy and I could feel the tip of my cock hitting her cervix, it felt so different from sex
tighter and more forbidden. Then the dirty sex talk started “Oh, gawd this is so good, I’ve wanted to feel a nice hard cock in my pussy for months...mmm...slower, push deeper...you won’t hurt the baby, it’s ok....”. I asked her if I was the first guy she had fucked since she got pregnant and she said “yes, you are the first guy but not the first person, I had sex with my room mate before she moved in”. I got even harder and Kim noticed that “did you like me saying that, I could tell, your cock feels even bigger now. I nodded and said “Yes”. I asked “have you ever been in threesome before?”. Kim said “Yes, I’ve been in a threesome, have you?, “No, I’ve always wanted too, even talked about it with my gf but she really likes Indian girls and we haven’t really been around each other to find one we could hook up with”. Kim told me “you should definitely try it, it’s great having another person to play with”. I then asked her “maybe your roommate can come and join us?”. “She’s out for the night, and besides, I haven’t had a threesome in a long time, not since before I got pregnant and I don’t want to do that while I am pregnant”. I kind of felt like I was being shot down for a moment, and I guess Kim wanted to change the direction we were going. She made me lay on my back and climbed on top of me. She then said “I want to keep this more one on one between us, more intimate and meaningful. She started to gyrate faster on my cock and I was about to cum when she started having an orgasm and pulled off my cock and squirted all over me, I thought she was peeing on me since I had never experienced that before. She kept fingering her clit as she finishe squirting. She then climbed back on and in a few more minutes she made my cock erupt deep inside of her, and I could feel my cum collecting into the end of the condom. She got off and told me to go to the
bathroom and clean up. When I came back she was dressed again and told me I was the highlight of her day. I noticed it was daylight out, thankfully I wasn’t working that morning or I would have been very late. I got dressed and she walked me down to my car. She gave me a good-bye kiss and as I was getting into my car she called out “I Love You!”....WHAM! That was my wakeup call, I immediately knew this could not happen again and that she was just looking for a baby daddy. I smiled and waved and drove off. My heart racing as I got back to my place and checked my computer to see that my girlfriend had messaged me and called and left several messages asking me where I was and why I wasn’t answering my phone. The next day she called I acted as if nothing happened and told her I was at the bar that night with friends and had too much to drink and was passed out in my room with a hangover and my phone was dead. I also checked the dating site app to see that Kim had messaged me the next day and was asking me why I wasn’t replying to her messages. After two days she asked me if it was because she had said she loved me. I replied “Yes, that is why. I’m confused about my gf and what I wanted. Kim said she would give me some space and that she was here for me if I ever wanted to come over and fuck her again. It was only ever a one night affair and eventually her husband went back to her and I steered clear of that part of town. As for my girlfriend back then she still to this day doesn’t know I cheated on her.....multiple times with different women. I guess it was my way of trying to find an excuse to get caught so I could break up with her, but it took another year and half for us to call it quits after three years together.
NFL KICKOFF GAME: THE 2020 SEASON WILL BEGIN WITH THE KICKOFF GAME ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10. THE DEFENDING SUPER BOWL LIV CHAMPION KANSAS CITY CHIEFS WILL HOST THE HOUSTON TEXANS.
NFL planning to move ahead with a September 10 start for 2020 season As US sports leagues look for creative solutions to starting back up operations amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the NFL hopes they can resume business as usual in the coming months. According to a report from Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the league is planning to release a full 17-game schedule next week and league spokesman Brian McCarthy was quoted saying, “We plan to start on time. The league is hoping to be able to launch the season at their planned Sept. 10 date. Should the coronavirus pandemic get worse over time, the league has contingency plans in place, the main one being delaying the start of the season until October. The league is still in constant talks over a rapidly evolving situation but at this point, neutral sites can be ruled out, as the league has maintained they are not interested in taking that route. At this point, the league is still exploring the idea of virtual workouts and minicamps, as they also agreed with the NFLPA to not open up any team facilities until every state in which a team resides lifts its stay-at-home mandate. With the full 2020 schedule coming out with a Sept. 10 start, Super Bowl LV is still slated for Feb. 7.

SHOULD THE BEARS SIGN FORMER JAGUARS RUNNING BACK LEONARD
Bears starting running back David Montgomery’s status for Week 1’s opener in Detroit is very much up in the air after the second-year pro injured his groin in practice last week. His injury exposed one of the Bears’ roster weaknesses — running back depth — and has led to questions about who will replace Montgomery in the starting lineup if he’s out for a couple of games. The candidates who are currently on the team include Tarik Cohen, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Ryan Nall. None of them inspire much confidence as a lead back. But a new contender may have just become available on Monday: Leonard Fournette. The Jaguars released Fournette in a surprise move after failed attempts at a trade, according to multiple reports on Twitter.
Fournette was the fourth overall pick of the 2017 NFL draft and while his career hasn’t been nearly as productive as his pre-draft hype predicted, he’s been a quality NFL starter Fournette totaled 1,152 yards and three touchdowns in 2019 and has topped 1,000 rushing yards in two of his three seasons in the league. He had a career-high 4.3 yards per carry last
year and, at times, ran like one of the league’s toughest backs. At just 25 years old, Fournette will have plenty of suitors for his services. He’s a legitimate three-down starting running back whose best seasons are likely ahead. That said, his reported clashes with the Jaguars coaching staff will be a red flag as teams weigh the risks associated with signing a player who will have little choice but to sign a one-year deal in 2020 but could be a contract nightmare next offseason if he’s productive. Would signing Fournette make sense for the Bears? It’s hard to argue why it wouldn’t. Fournette will command something in the neighborhood of $4 million on a one-year deal in the open market. It’ll be a classic prove-it deal for a player with a lot of juice left in his legs, and it’s the pay he would’ve received in Jacksonville had he remained on the roster in 2020. The Bears have the cap space to make a
move like that. A one-two punch of Montgomery and Fournette would flip the identity of this offense from a group that doesn’t have one to a Titans-like ground-and-pound attack. With Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles vying for the starting quarterback job, it probably makes sense to feature a two-headed rushing attack as the primary gameplan on offense. General manager Ryan Pace preaches competition (every year) as the key variable in getting the most out of players. Adding Fournette to the running back room will create that kind of competition (and insurance) in the backfield that this team needs right now. -nbcsports.com
January is sexual trafficking awareness month and I’m pleased to share with you my personal story dealing with stopping human trafficking. As an ambassador for sex trafficking awareness, and with my years working in the travel business I hope this knowledge I can share with you today will help you recognize the signs of sex trafficking and what you can do to stop it. I’ll never forget that day in January. Her name was Emily and she was only 15 years old. She was from the Ukraine. I could tell immediately this older man was calling from a magic jack. It turned he was calling from Dusseldorf, Germany. In case you didn’t know, there are places in Europe and the USA that are known for being transit points for these disgusting businesses. Did you know that Atlanta Georgia, New York, NY San Francisco, California are known for human trafficking? Particularly sex trafficking? His explained he wanted to travel with his friend. I asked about his friend. It turned out his “friend” was a 15 year old girl!!! Said to myself why would a grown man has 15 year old friends?? It was the end of January, shouldn’t she have been in school? Those were two huge red flags. He wanted to book tickets to go from Germany to Italy. I was suspicious of the man, but the key was to keep him on my call and make small talk with him. I told him of my stories visiting abroad; I wanted to keep him comfortable and keep him talking so I could figure out what was going on. I casually mentioned that I had a daughter myself and could I talk to the girl? Was she there? He put her on the phone and I asked her name and the reason for their trip. Emily explained they were “driving places a lot but this time he wants to fly to make better time” Through experience I knew that in Europe if you are underage certain countries the passport has your parents name on it, not just the child. I explained to her that I didn’t think she would be able to travel to Italy without having either her mother or father with her. This idea was not going to work, but maybe I could work something out. Why didn’t she give me her passport number? She didn’t have it with her, another clue since remember the older man that was with her had to have full control of her all the time. I was surprised he was even letting her talk on phone with me. I then asked for Visa number which I wrote down before I heard the man in the background say “What does she need that for?” Then the call disconnected. In the meantime I had already written down the phone number showing up on my phone since we record our calls for quality and safety concerns. Now since I made small talk with the “Man” I knew the number he was calling from was the equivalent to a burner throw away cell phone here in the USA. I knew it was not traceable, and not a real number. However I also knew you had to have an email to sign up for Magic Jack. Perhaps through the email they could find the culprit? After I made my report, this led to conference call with the FBI. Through my quick thinking the girl was identified and the FBI was one step closer to stopping him and saving Emily. Together, we can stop sex trafficking. Each and every one of us can make a difference if we take the time out to see the signs and report this crime. If you suspect sex trafficking you can contact https://www.cbp.gov To contact Ms. Kim McCall for speaking engagements or a personal consultation, please go to www.Iammskim.com Ms.Kim McCall is also available to speak about domestic violence, motivational speaking, and Relationships in todays world.
CHEFS LAURENT MANRIQUE, ROLAND PASSOT AND GERALD HIRIGOYEN
hold the most envied title of their profession: Maître Cuisinier de France or Master Chef of France. Chefs are chosen to join one of the world’s most prestigious culinary associations through an exhaustive six-month review process that dates back to 1951. For the three Bay Area residents and San Francisco restaurateurs, being named a Master Chef of France is “a lifetime achievement, significant career milestone and distinct honor” all in one. This year, they are also honored to play host to the organization’s annual Global Conference in San Francisco. They gathered in advance to discuss what’s inspiring them at the moment and how local ingredients shape their dishes. The common food item on their short lists? Pistachios, with which they are very familiar, having seen the many pistachio orchards that line the landscape throughout central and northern California. “One of our duties as a Master Chef is to participate actively to promote products of ‘top quality,’” said Hirigoyen, owner of Piperade. “Pistachios grown here in California, not far from San Francisco, are superior in color and taste. I love to use pistachios because not only are they a great thing visually, they are healthy, too. They’re buttery in flavor, but the lowest in fat, actually. They can go in toppings, fillings and soups.” (See recipe below.) The green nut’s versatility appeals to the proprietor of popular Café del la Presse, Manrique, as well. “When I came to California, I discovered the greatness of cooking with pistachios. There are so many things you can do, from savory dishes to sweet. The inspiration is endless. Put them on salads and in pates. Even when you cook pistachios, they keep that wonderful texture and crunch.” At La Folie on Russian Hill, Chef Passot’s cuisine blends French tradition with contemporary culinary creativity, and features seasonal, fresh, organic and sustainably harvested fare that is locally sourced whenever possible. This includes pistachios. “French cuisine doesn’t have to be rich to be delicious. I use pistachios because of their natural, healthy fats and oils. Plus they have great flavor and give you energy, just eating them out of hand with an aperitif.” All three attest to the power of pistachios outside the kitchen and snack on the nut for energy during their outdoor pursuits — Passot sailing, Manrique hiking and Hirigoyen cycling. “Health-wise, pistachios are beautiful nuts in terms of what they contain: potassium, antioxidants and fiber. I call them the Super Nuts, and you will find them in my kitchen and in my bike pack,” said Hirigoyen. Pistachio Gazpacho with Watermelon and Cucumber By Chef Gerald Hirigoyen, Piperade, San Francisco Yield: 4 servings Ingredients 2 cups Pistachios, shelled 1 medium Cucumber, peeled, seeded and diced in 1/2-inch cubes 1 cup Celery stalk, diced 1½ cups Pain de mie (or other soft white bread), chopped 2 small Garlic cloves, degermed and finely chopped 4 cups Cold water Juice of One lemon 2 teaspoons Kosher salt 1 cup watermelon, 1/4” cubes 1 cup Croutons 4 sprigs Fresh tarragon 1/8 teaspoon Ground white pepper Extra virgin olive oil Instructions In a large bowl, combine the pistachios, most of the diced cucumber (reserving a small amount for garnish), celery, pain de mie, garlic and water. Working in two separate batches, pour half of the ingredients into a blender and puree on high speed until contents are smooth throughout, about 2 minutes, and then transfer to a large bowl. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice. Strain all of the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve into a glass bowl or airtight container, gently pushing all of the liquid through with a spatula or back of a ladle. Discard the solid ingredients. Season the soup with salt; refrigerate until well chilled, at least 2 hours or overnight. To serve, divide the soup into 4 shallow bowls and garnish evenly with the reserved cucumber and diced watermelon. Scatter croutons and a sprig of tarragon on top of each bowl. Season with ground white pepper to taste and drizzle small dots of extra virgin olive oil over the top. Serve immediately.Ingredients

Understanding the Connection Between PTSD and Nightmares
Experiencing or witnessing upsetting events can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a mental health condition that affects 7.7 million American adults. The disorder can cause people to feel anxious and afraid, leading to flashbacks and nightmares. In fact, up to 96 percent of people with PTSD have these upsetting dreams. Fortunately, there are several approaches to treating PTSD-related nightmares. If you or someone you love is dealing with PTSD, read on to understand how it impacts sleep, and available treatment options. The Nightmare Connection For people with PTSD, nightmares aren’t just generic scary dreams—they generally revolve around the person’s traumatic experience, forcing survivors to relive the pain on a regular basis. Someone who witnessed a shooting, for example, may find that the event replays in his or her nightmares. For some people, nightmares start soon after the traumatic event; others may go years before having their first bad dream. The nightmares typically occur earlier in the night, and people may react physically to them, thrashing around in their sleep or shouting. What You Can Do PTSD treatment can help lower the frequency of trauma-related nightmares. There are several approaches to treatment, and the optimal strategy varies from person to person. It may involve types of cognitive therapy, meditation, medication, and more. If the nightmares don’t stop after PTSD treatment, imagery rehearsal therapy may help. This technique involves having people who are experiencing nightmares recall their bad dream and come up with a new ending while they are awake so that it no longer upsets them. They then “rehearse” the new ending over and over in their mind, with the goal of it carrying over the next time the nightmare occurs, eventually reducing the frequency of the upsetting dream. Medication is rarely prescribed for PTSD-related nightmares, but if nothing else is working—or if the nightmares are severe—talk to your doctor. Research shows that certain drugs, such as sympatholytic medication used to treat high blood pressure, may help. Remember, while PTSD is serious, many people are successfully treated and go on to live full, happy lives. Sleep.org
How to exercise dispite your busy schedule?
As a busy person, you’re always looking for ways to be more efficient and more productive. There’s not enough time in the day to get everything done that you’d like, which means you have to make sacrifices. Much of the time, that means exercise hits the chopping block. That’s unfortunate, because when you’re missing out on exercise, you can’t be your best self. Exercise is a crucial element of maintaining a healthy personal and professional life. When you exercise, oxygen and nutrients are delivered to your cardiovascular system, helping it to work more efficiently, giving you more energy to go about the rest of your day. Exercise has also been shown to cause the hippocampus to grow, improving your memory and brain functionality. The best benefit, however, is the simple reduction of stress. Aerobic exercise reduces levels of the body’s stress hormones while stimulating endorphins to elevate your mood. The benefits are numerous and can make a huge difference in your life. So how do you get them while maintaining your productivity?
One of the easiest ways to get your exercise during the work day is to bike to and from work. Not only will you get the exercise you need but you can also bypass rush hour traffic while getting some much needed fresh air. Of course, remember to wear a helmet, bring a lock, and have a light on your bike for riding at night You’ve got 30 minutes to an hour built into your workday for lunch but how long does it take to eat? After (or before) you’ve had your lunch, you can easily use that extra time to squeeze in a bit of low impact or high intensity training. Whether it’s a little yoga, working with resistance bands, or something more aggressive like TRX suspension training.
Rather than collapsing after a long day, you can give yourself a quick energy boost for the evening by taking a short run when you get home. It can be a great way to unwind with music on your arm as you run and get centered after work. If you’re up to it, you can even track your progress and keep trying to improve over time.
THE ANSWER TO ENDING SCHOOL VIOLENCE THE ANSWER TO ENDING SCHOOL SHOOTINGS With the increasing school shootings coupled with fatalities, there has been increasing talk of the need for gun control. At the time of this article, the United States has reached a count of 23 reported school shootings for 2018 with the last one reported for May 25, 2018 in Noblesville, Indiana at Noblesville West Middle School. As our society searches for an answer to ending these tragedies (and whether gun control is the answer), it’s important to look at when these occurrences began. The infamous Columbine shootings of 1999 have been credited with influencing subsequent school shootings. However, the massacre that inspired the making of movies as well as songs about one of the victims, Cassie Bernall, was not the first school shooting or school massacre. The New York Times probably reported the first campus massacre that took place on August 1, 1966 in AUSTIN, Texas. A 25-year-old engineering student, Charles Whitman, carried an arsenal of weapons to the top of the 27-story tower on the University of Texas campus and shot 12 people to death and wounded approximately 33 others before the police killed him. He was stated to be an ex-Marine. It might be of some significance to know that he left notes after he murdered his mother and wife (one with each of their bodies). These murders preceded his massacre on the college campus. These notes indicated he had questions about his mental state. A quote of interest from those letters is, “I imagine it appears that I brutally killed both of my loved ones. I was only trying to do a quick thorough job...If my life insurance policy is valid please pay off my debts...donate the rest anonymously to a mental health foundation. Maybe research can prevent further tragedies of this type...” He requested that an autopsy be performed on his body after his death for any abnormalities. Findings also show that there was a report of a massacre that took place in 1976. The California State University, Fullerton massacre resulted in seven deaths and two injuries. Most people may not realize that the United States has a long history of reported school shootings dating back to the 1800s and the occurrences weren’t so infrequent as some might think. Some incidents resulted in deaths, while some only resulted in injuries. In other cases, there were no tragedies. It’s interesting to note that with recent discussions regarding arming teachers or other school officials, some of the murders in early history were committed by school personnel. One such example took place on February 6, 1864. The Ashland Times reported that George W. Longfelt, the school teacher of the Pyfer’s School House, near Ashland County in Ohio, shot and killed a student, Alfred Desem, at the school house and escaped. At the time of the report there was no information given for the cause of the murder. There have been reported cases of self-defense claims by school officials. The Los Angeles Herald reported an account that took place on September 11, 1909 in Gravette, Arkansas, at the edge of McDonald County, Missouri. A. T. Kelly reportedly killed his student, John Bufram, at Bear Hollow School. Claims were made that Butram announced that school would not be in session that day to other students, but Kelly insisted that school would continue as usual. During the discussion Butram pulled a knife and reportedly injured two teachers; Kelly shot him. Kelly surrendered to authorities. Another self-defense incident took place in 1918 at a dormitory in Jefferson City, MO. However, this tragedy took place between two school officials who were arguing over which dishes to use for a social (see The Kansas City Sun, Volume 10, Number 32).
Some children have always managed to have access to a gun. There are repeated cases in early history where students were playing with a gun and it accidently fired or another student purposely brought a gun to school and murdered another because they were arguing over a girl. Bullying has also been the cause for school shootings. The Richmond, Virginia Daily Dispatch reported that on January 21, 1860, a son of Colonel Elijah Sebree, of Todd County, Kentucky, was killed by another student at a school house in Trenton, TN. Some boys made another student believe that son Sebree was threatening him and intended to kill him; it was a joke. However, the other student didn’t know it was a joke. This day the assumed victimized student took possession of a gun, walked up to Sebree in the schoolhouse and shot him. It’s been stated that the Columbine shootings redefined the actions that took place April 20, 1999 as more than a statement of revenge. It was stated to be a means of protest for bullying, intimidation, social isolation, and public rituals of humiliation. Perhaps perpetrators in subsequent school shootings romanticized the 1999 mission. Findings show that the school shootings that occur today due to tempers, accidents, mental illness, revenge, and other reasons known and unknown, are a repeat of what has occurred for centuries. Perhaps Columbine has just brought all 21st century school shootings to the forefront regardless of the weight of their tragedies because of our increase in knowledge—more media, internet, and smart phones. With all this knowledge we are still divided on the answer to ending the school tragedies. Researched and written by: Charlotte R. Beard Writing Services by Char

Forget Blue Whale Challenge, cyber bullying is more common danger for your kid Tanya grew up in a Mumbai suburb, like any normal teenager. Unknown to her, a classmate from a previous school had started collecting information and pictures of her since they were 12. The information was then used to make a fake Facebook page, and was shown as if Tanya had posted them herself. Tanya had read about cyber bullying, but had never expected herself to be a victim. She found out about the fake page only through her friends. Even though the bullying seemed benign in the beginning, soon schoolmates started sending her crude messages and she became isolated from her friends circle. She withdrew to herself, rarely going out, and became depressed. The bullying then got so bad that she had to go for counseling and change schools to start afresh. Having grown up around gadgets, children rely heavily on them to carry out everyday tasks. They also form their social persona around social media and depend on thes .. In an Ipsos survey in 2014, India topped the list of 254 countries for cyber bullying. 32% of parents surveyed in India said their children experienced cyber bullying, followed by Brazil (20%), Saudi Arabia (18%), Canada (18%) and the United States (15%). Parents in India also reported the greatest intensity of cyber bullying. 13% said a child in their home experiences cyber bullying on a regular basis, followed by 10% in Brazil, 5% in the United States and 5% in Argentina. The frequency of cyber bullying in India was found to be higher than in the U.S. (15% of children), U.K. (11% of children) and France (5% of children). According to a Microsoft study of online bullying among youth 8-17 years old, children in India reported the third highest online bullying rate among the 25 countries surveyed. Presidential candidate Joe Biden has demanded justice over the killing of an unarmed black man in the US state of Georgia. Mr Biden said his heart went out to the family of Ahmaud Arbery. Mr Arbery, 25, was jogging in February when confronted by an ex-policeman and his son. Video purported to show the shooting emerged online on Tuesday. A district attorney in Georgia has now ruled that a grand jury should decide whether charges should be brought. An earlier decision by a prosecutor in the Brunswick jurisdiction argued there was no probable cause to arrest Gregory McMichael, 64, and his son Travis, 34. More than 100 people took part in a protest in Brunswick on Tuesday night, demanding justice for Mr Arbery.
