Financial Aid Coordinator POSITION OVERVIEW: The Institute for Clinical Social Work is looking for a financial aid coordinator. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Finance & Operations. This is a part-time, salaried position. DESCRIPTION OF INSTITUTION: The Institute for Clinical Social Work (ICSW), in Chicago, IL, is a private higher education institution offering an M.A. in clinical counseling and psychotherapy and a Ph.D. in clinical social work. ICSW prepares scholars and practitioners to advance the knowledge and quality of practice in the fields of clinical social work and counseling and to serve diverse communities through professional and academic contributions. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Student Financial Services – oversee all areas including: Coordination of ICSW’s Title IV financial aid program, including Direct Stafford and Grad PLUS loans Veteran’s Administration Funding – Chapters 33 and 35 Internal Scholarship and grants management External funding support including loans and other scholarships Manage student payment plans Manage collection efforts on any delinquent accounts
Other Responsibilities Include Financial aid presentations for prospective and current students Assisting with campus events Other responsibilities as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business or other relevant field Two years of experience coordinating a financial aid program Demonstrated ability work independently and within a team Demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity Eligibility to work in and travel freely to and from the U.S. Three years of experience in higher education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in a relevant field Five or more years of experience in higher education
